Thank you so much to Carlos! The air conditioning system gave up on one of the many hot days here in Rancho Cucamonga. Submitted a request at 9 am, received a phone call within 10 minutes. Carlos came to the rescue within 20! He remained in contact while the issue was being resolved. Unfortunately it wasn't a same day fix, but he made sure we were happy and comfortable while we wait for the air conditioner to be fixed. Since it came time for him to go home, he provided a unit for us to use in the mean time. It was so great that he even offered to work around our schedules. Do NOT lease here! The moving out process is a nightmare! The maintenance crew does Mickey Mouse jobs to get by since all the apts will eventually be remodeled. We got stuck with a $1200 bill for carpet when the carpet they gave us was already dirty and old. We had to get a carpet cleaners every 3 months. The kitchen cabinets were all falling apart. You can hear your neighbors upstairs and through the walls. A friend we referred went through the same thing so you know it was not us. They have a major bug issue when you call them they respond days later with we will send someone over and that takes days also. This was by far the worse apartments I've lived it. They used to be AMLI and than changed names to Solamonte and that's when it all went down hill. I don't believe any good reviews on here, because all my neighbors were going through the same thing we were in our building. The apartments themselves are spacious enough to live comfortably and not feel too cooped up. The renovated apartments with newer appliances and wood panel floors (they are possibly laminate) have a modern luxurious feel, which seems to be the trend that all apartments are aiming to follow. While this doesn't make these apartments stand out, the property was built in a very good location, and nothing a person would need is more than a 10 minute drive in any direction. If you visit the website, it claims to be next to a train station that is 45 minutes from downtown LA. There is a station nearby, but it takes about an hour and 20 minutes to get to union station, not 45 minutes. Holland recently renovated the common areas to also give them a more luxurious feel, which they have achieved, but the feeling of luxury seems to have taken the spotlight, and as a result, the amenities are now less practical. The movie theater was moved outdoors and replaced by a game room, which means that movies will only be shown by management, instead of being hosted by any resident. The gym and yoga room received new cardio equipment, but all the strength training machines were removed, except for a guided squat rack and a cable system, and instead of being open 24 hours a day, the gym now closes at 10. A putting green and an empty patch of grass were replaced by a dog park and an outdoor fireplace, surrounded by furniture that was already damaged or broken a month after installation. A small, 15 foot diameter dirt area will soon house a small "playground" for resident children, which is easily dwarfed by the dog park. And a new package concierge system requires a valid form of payment so that you will be charged for any package left in a locker for more than 3 days. All of that said, if you are a social media influencer who is self employed, this place is probably tailored more to your needs. If that's not you, any comparable place will do. read more

I've been living at solamonte for about a year now .. there was a lot of construction going on this past year .. and my husband and I were a bit frustrated that we couldn't use the he amenities for a while .. but I will say now that things are finally done we are so happy ! Our dog loves the dog park and being able to go off her leash and play frisbee ! For the most part the dog potty bags are always filled at the stations and that has been so helpful as well ! The size of the 2 bedroom apartment is amazing ... and we love our balcony. If you need any maintenance done Carlos is your guy ! The maintenance and technician team are outstanding!!!! I accidentally dropped my garage remote at 7 am and was freaking out because I couldn't open my garage after that. I called the maintenance number and left a message. I received a call within five minutes!!! The person on the phone let me know that they would be able to send someone by shortly, so I decided to wait in my apartment. I had just closed the door when I got a knock on my door! They sent Carlos and he was just awesome!!!! He was there a bit early and responded to my work order. The whole thing took about 5 minutes and I was able to get to work on time!!! This place is a joke. I can't believe some of the good reviews it's gotten. Don't fall for it. We sold our home in August and had to move temporarily into an apartment while looking to purchase a new home. The complex looked nice and the apartments looked nice. We got a 2 bedroom and paid way too much for what this place really is. I don't even know where to start. The day we moved in we had a broken toilet. Maintenance fixed it. Had to fix it twice after that. The cabinets in the kitchen are poorly attached. Maintenance was notified and they never got fixed. Dog poop. I can't count how many piles were on the grass area that we almost stepped in. Mailboxes. Always being broken into. Luckily not us. Gated community? I would constantly see cars waiting for someone to open the gate so they could swoop in. Parking. Forget it. If you come in after 5 there's almost nowhere to park. I was in the ER one evening and got out around 11:00 and we had to park on 7th street and walk into the complex to get home. Not exactly safe that late for women. Breed restrictions on dogs. NO ONE seems to follow that rule. I can't count how many times I've seen pit bulls. One early morning we actually saved a resident that was being attacked by the pit bull. The owner grabbed his dog and walked away. No "I'm sorry" or "Are you ok?" The female resident had bite marks all up and down her arm and her dog was also bitten several times. Staff sent out a memo. Big whoop. Still saw pit bulls. My biggest complaint is the garages. On many occasions we would find our garage door completely open. Maintenance was asked several times to fix it but we still had problems as did several other residents. My opinion is they have several on the same frequency and people just randomly use their clickers to see what garages they can open. 2 weeks ago we opened our garage to find that every one of our kids Christmas gifts were stolen. All of them. I notified staff and they pretty much acted like they couldn't care less. I guess as long as they get rent on time that's all that matters. 2 days later another resident had the same problem. There are thieves that live there and I've spoken to several other residents that say the same thing. We were told we weren't supposed to store things in the garage. Really?? That's what you're going to say to me after I just got robbed??! What else goes on there besides a vehicle which the garages are so damn small and my garage was at a funky angle so twice I scraped my SUV trying to get it in the garage. Our cars were left outside where anyone could break into them which I heard happens a lot. We lived near the bbq area where people would sit and talk until after midnight. And talk LOUD and laugh and carry on like it was daytime. No security cameras and no night security. For what we paid for rent you'd think they'd at least want to protect their residents. I liked the office staff until we were robbed. When they didn't care. After that we couldn't get out of there fast enough. We closed escrow on a house last week and this weekend threw everything into a moving truck and bolted. Today I turned in my keys. And I'll never look back. Those were the most miserable 4 months of my life. Anyone that rents here GOOD LUCK. read more

I've been a resident at Solamonte for over three years, and I'm proud to say we have the BEST Maintenance Department ever! Living in past apartment communities, I used to hate having to contact maintenance about any issues because I knew either it would take several days to respond or they would do a poor job. Carlos was the first maintenance employee I encountered, and he made me feel that choosing Solamonte was the best decision. He took care of my issues with a smile and afterward whenever he saw me would speak. Whenever I put in a request, they always respond within 24 hours, and that is unheard off in such a large community. With some places, you may only find one great employee, but every one on our maintenance team is INCREDIBLE. I'm truly blown away with the professionalism and courtesy everyone shows me. If you're looking for a place that the staff remembers your name, and makes you feel that your needs no matter how small is important then this is the place for you. read more

Ok so this is my follow up review for Solamonte. Maintenance!!!!! I complained about a few things when I moved in. It was the washer being extremely loud, closet door would not move, kitchen drawers crooked, a window screen was a little bent and small little things. They came less than a week to fix them except for the washer and the kitchen drawers. I opened another ticket and Carlos came by on a Sunday which was a little surprising. He said that the washer was normal and that noise was really what they sound. I gave him a look and said "really Carlos?" I know how washers sound and that's not how a washer should sound. He said he was going to ask the manager if my washer could be replaced. A few days later I noticed my washer was indeed replaced. The horrible washing machine noise (like a jet taking off) was gone! The only thing on my list is the kitchen drawer which is not a big deal for me as long as I don't get charged for it when it completely breaks. I feel that they took care of my issues as soon as they can and am quite happy about my place still. Thank you Solamonte!!!! read more

The apartments are good size and clean. The amenities are always kept well but the gym can use a little more support. The common area is REALLY nice with great coffee machine. The staff are generally helpful but there is one guy named Adam who is super helpful. He goes out of his way to make sure tenants are taken care of. I stayed here for 7 months, overall good experience. Really appreciated all the work Adam did. The complex is too close to two main streets (Milliken and 6th) and the car noise can be disturbing. read more

This review is for my moving out process and my last opinion of the complex itself. First off I lived in building 12 3rd floor and the type of people who now live there smoke weed on their balconies, leave their trash everywhere and park in your assigned parking. Maintenance is terrible they don't fix anything you put a request in for, the office staff doesn't return your phone calls and they report you to collections after you move out even though they don't bother to send anything to the forwarding address provided. I have called three times and left a voicemail regarding any balance due after moving out outside of my deposit as it's been 30 days and I haven't received anything in the mail, yet no return call. I received a call that I was reported to collections because of past due utilities however never received anything in the mail at my new address. The collections company said they only had the address of the apartment. When I first moved in here I was told the gym was being redone and so was the common area yet no construction was completed within the 11 months I lived here. The only positive about this complex is Adam who is apart of the office staff. He's really helpful and so kind. Other than that this complex prices for rent are ridiculously high. read more

My daughter came home from a visit with me to a dead roach. This is the second time she has found a roach and they told her once again it's s water bug. No it's a roach clear as day and they want to offer Extensive treatment to exterminate the apartment. My daughter told them why didn't they do that the first time. My daughter works long hours and has a very high level of anxiety and is scared every time she opens the door . She checks the floors and restroom before entering that is no way to live. She closes all the vents in fear they will come through. They offered to move her to another apartment in the complex but that doesn't fix the roach issue. Roaches can live in the walls and could have got in her furniture. They told her if she moved that would be considered breaking her lease . Would these people want to pay $1600 and live in fear of coming home to roaches. Maybe they can over look it because they don't live there these apartments are roach infested and I wish they would admit it. Until my daughters lease is up in November she is stuck. We're considering seeking legal advice on how to proceed she has asthma and roaches play a huge part with her h read more

I have lived here since July 2016 and I honestly can't wait to buy my own place and get out of here. When I first toured this place I loved it and wanted to move in right away. Since moving here I've had several issues, starting with the apartment itself. I showed the office staff pictures of the wall splitting and they never took care of it. They had maintenence come in and just put paint in the crack so if we lock our sliding door it pulls the wall apart. Second, we had to complain more than once about barking dogs inthe building next to us who kept leaving their dogs on the porch barking incessantly as early as 6 AM and different times throughout the day. When staff was notified they acted like it was the first time they were hearing about it even though we had already made a complaint and they said they would take care of it. Third, let's talk about their valet trash service that has been more of an inconvenience to residents like myself who don't enjoy seeing trash everywhere due to irresponsible residents. They gave every resident notices stating the trash rules yet they don't hold anyone accountable. Residents leave trash out for days and stack their trash up because they're too damn lazy to walk to the dumpster and do it themselves. Management has been notified and they act like "its the first time they're hearing about it." That's ALWAYS their favorite go to line and they come off nice but have an attitude because they don't want to deal with complaints. Bottom line is people need to be held accountable and if you can't hold people accountable for their actions then don't set forth guidelines that you can't enforce. We follow all the community rules and expect others to do the same. Paying 1445 for a 1 bedroom is BS when you have to keep going out of your way to complain about rules being broken that you didn't make. If we didn't pay our rent I can guarantee they would have no issues with notifying us that we didn't pay it. And lastly we have to go out of our way to get our mail from the post office due to the mailboxes being broken into. All the money they have for this property and they couldn't install a camera system or put up gates that only residents can get into? We pay way too much to live here and have to deal with all these issues. And sorry doesn't cut it! read more

I currently live here and have been since October of last year. When I moved in the staff said there will be repairs to the gym, yoga room, theater room, and some repairs and add one outside by the pool. They explained to us it will happen the next month and be done the following month. Well it is now about to be May and all the amenities are shut down. Yes, even the pool. AND are still getting charged for FULL PRICE!!! Just Horrible! Don't believe a word they say. Now when I ask when it will be done they said August. So that means no pool this whole summer or gym. read more

We are considering this place based on the actual building but Barbara played a good part in the way she treated us. We just moved to this apartment complex in July. We were stoked about it because it was so gorgeous. On our move in day, our move in time got delayed because there were workers in our unit that were laying down new linoleum. When they were done and we could finally clean and start our unpacking process, we noticed how poorly the job was done. We had to put in many work orders to get the place fixed up. Our carpet was filled with staples in odd places and we would step on them randomly and unfortunately so would our dog. The community is supposedly pet friendly and there is a fine for not cleaning up after your pet yet you see poop EVERYWHERE!!!! There is a fine for keeping your dog in your balcony for extended periods of time yet I see a dog EVERY day/ALL day/ALL night on the balcony and he/she pees and poops on the balcony and it just sits there. It's been a month and the dog is still there. There is a fine if you put your trash out too early or keep it out on days when there isn't trash pick up to deter people from leaving their garbage out, yet we see trash left by people's doors on days when there is no trash pick up. My main frustration is the lack of concern from staff. These things have been reported and nothing has come from it. Today I got a phone call from someone from the office asking me if I am the leaser of an apartment with them... OBVIOUSLY I am. The only question they asked is how i would rate my experience of their community and I told her somewhat good or indifferent. She said "thanks for participating". I asked her if she wanted to know why I was not completely satisfied so that changes can be made and she said "no". What is the point of calling me and taking up my time if you genuinely don't care about the feedback?! I am just so frustrated by this because this apartment complex isn't necessarily bad but I think they need to take ownership of their policies and hold up their end of the bargain to ensure happiness of those who live in the community. I hope it changes soon and that the construction is done so that we can finally enjoy the pool, gym, etc. read more

I lived here for over a 11 months by far one of the worst apartments The maintenance is horrible my ac broker during the summer and waited over a month to be repaired mind you they and no record that i even called to begin with. My kitchen and restroom sink linked so much water for a month i called over 5 times the whole time living there we had a trash bin for the leaking water. My door knob broke, my restroom towel rack broke and we never even used it. i left the apartment spotless when i left so i cant wait to see what they will charge me for i definitely will be going to small claims if any miscellaneous charges are added . DO NOT LIVE HERE! I PAID OVER $ 2,500.00 A MONTH FOR A 3 BEDROOM 2 BATH AND HAD ALL THESE HORRIBLE THINGS HAPPEN! I wish I could adequately explain how much I love living here. I love my apartment and all the wonderful amenities. The property is always clean and the pool is properly maintained through all the seasons. When concerns do arise, the staff promptly responds, addresses the issue, and follows up to make sure everything is ok. I usually work with Ashia at the leasing office. I've never seen here without a smile on her face. If she can't help immediately, she finds someone who can. If all the staff is as friendly as she is, I can see myself living here for a while. We have lived in this complex since December 2016. I waited to post a review in order to determine what I like, dislike, etc. I have nothing negative to say thus far. The leasing staff is fantastic! Friendly, courteous and overall wonderful. All maintenance requests thus far have been answered if not same day, within a day at most. The grounds are kept up well and they make every effort to address tenants who don't follow particular guidelines. They have food trucks come out regularly which i think is super cool! I absolutely LOVE our valet trash service! Worth every single penny. What a help not having to lug around trash clear to the other side of the complex (where the only trash bins are). Our side is quiet and we've had no issues with neighbors at all. Everyone is super friendly and we are quite happy. Plenty of free parking for guests and we've had zero issues with our mail. The place is centrally located and we are within minutes from the mall, train, restaurants, movies and most importantly, Target and Starbuck :) Well done Solamonte. read more

I've lived here since July of 2016 and I just want to say Adam in the leasing office is so awesome! He made moving into the complex so easy. He takes time to make you feel important not just when you first move in, but every time he see's you around and that's something you won't get at other complexes. My experience with Solamonte leasing office team was ridiculous, they sure know how to make you unwelcome, rude and incompetent, minimum customer service. I ask and regards few complaints posted in yelp team member answer me with a bad attitude, and blame the tenants not knowing how to request 24 hours emergency maintenance services over the phone, I ask and regards the amenities and restrictions of timing to access and the unwelcome and dirty looks from the leasing office members also posted by tenant. They all toke my questions personal and the retaliation begin, I can feel the dirty looks and discrimination, my credit check become excessive. After I comply with all the information, the leasing team continue with the retaliation and discrimination . I like to comment Solamonte amenities Gym Not 24/7, No business center, the clubhouse and cool two outdoor grills by the pool, are great if you are willing to deal with unwelcoming,unhappy, neglected,incompetent, Solamonte employees.
