I went here after a few of my friends said that this place did a good job on their vehicles. I figured, Why not? SO here is my review. I got my windows tinted about 1 month ago. Long story short, i recently went in for my THIRD time to get some tint fixed. Literally a waste of my time. I was hoping to get quality work done on my vehicle the first time. While i was there it was like i'm the one that's the problem by continually bringing my car in. Well if you don't do the job right the first time. After i recieved my car the guy tells me, "it's like 90% perfect". 90%! WTF!!! Are you freaking kidding me. I didn't pay for 90%. It's like saying, "can you do kind of a good job." I will never go back. If my tint begins to bubble again, remember third time in 1 month, i will most likely just go to another spot to fix it. I'm sure that the tint looks great if applied correctly, but the customer service is HORRIBLE!!!! I WILL NEVER TAKE ANOTHER VEHICLE TO THEM!!!!! Don't waste your time! I have been coming here for years. I recently got a new TESLA model X and wanted to have windows and most importantly the windshield done. So we selected the 3M crystalline tint including the windshield. Man did Rob and his guys deliver amazing job so nice and clean don't even notice there is any tint on windshield and it totally keeps car cooler and blocks out a lot of the sun. Workers do a decent job, no gripes with the quality of the job. The quality of the tint however, not so good. After about 3-4 years I was blessed with the typical bubbling and fading to purple. Owner comes off as rude, not always willing to stand behind their big "lifetime warranty" which is boldly written on their invoices. He tried to dodge changing the purple tint by saying "warranty doesn't cover fading." Lets be realistic, if they offer to change the bubbling tint with new tint and try to avoid changing the old purple tint -- you end up left with non-matching tint. Note to owner, dont be cheap. Last, I like to watch my car being serviced regardless of what shop I go to. The shop owner made some rude comments about me hanging around the outside of the shop while the work was being performed. Lets be realistic, if you're good at what you do it doesn't matter who's watching because you have nothing to hide. I've watched the painter at my body shop lay down $2000 bucks worth of paint, don't make a big deal about laying down $20 bucks (if that) worth of tint. Overall its a decent shop but I wouldn't recommend it. I'd rather spend my money with a shop that values the customer. read more

Totally have to agree with other reviews at this place: it's great. I went to this place 3 years ago, on the advice from one of my friends. And I live in the South OC area (Irvine). So it was a drive, but I was randomly in the area, so I said why not? Got 5 percent in the back, and 35 in the front. And the tint has not bubbled, turn purple and hazy, nor have I had any problems with it. I'm not sure how prices are now, but I got all the windows tinted at around $120 (not including windshield). The only thing I wish is that the place was closer to where I live, but I would make the drive out there again cause of the good work. (I'm too paranoid about the places in the Garden Grove area...). read more

Poor installation and poor customer service. I actually went with another local company instead. While visiting this location there were at least two people returning to fix issues with their tints. Really wanted to trust this place and not leave a bad review... I live five mins away so I would've loved to get my car done here I walked in last week and I was quoted $140 -$150... Then I called and was quoted $160... I went there today and was quoted $170. They are also very rude over the phone and in person. I wouldn't have mind paying $170 but because I feel like the price is based off of how they feel that day I took my money else where. read more

so i reside in west hills ca, this business is in close proximity, anyway, i called to make a appointment and one of the salesman ‍ informed me that they open at 8 to 6 p.m. (no appointment is needed) i am a early bird so i was there at 7 a.m. so i the owner pulls like around 745 a.m. then i see another vehicle pulling an he starts working on that car i was like wtf ,so i get out of my vehicle an said , good morning i called yesterday an they told me to be hear early an i was , he gave me an estimate i said no worries . so long story short 3 more cars pulled an they completely ignored me. an hour later they started with my car ! 3 hours later they completed my tint but , ignored my two back window panels to wrap! an i ask them questions if they do wraps an how much will it cost ? this guy was telling me that it would not look good wtf i know it will look good . so i was like wow glad i am a changed person. read more

So when I recently bought a new car I took it straight to them and put 20% all around The tint job done on the vehicle was very good and done fairly quickly. I been calling around places looking to tint my car windows, all places had no availability. I called Solar Eclipse and ask if they have any availability, Rob answered and said if I can make it by 3pm he can take me. I called at 1pm told him, I would be there in 10 mins. I arrived everything was so smooth and fast from choosing tint style to them working on my car. Turnaround time estimating about an hour when I was told it will take 2.5 to 3 hrs at other places on a Hyundai Santa Fe, just amazing!!! Wow, I used to love taking my car to Solar Eclipse. They had the best tinting and amazing costumer service. I remember a guy named Rob working there and he was just the best. Helped me a lot with my tinting and I actually bought more because of him. This new guy in the front desk, I actually really hate him. I'm never going back there because of him. Watch out guys, this man in the front just wants your money. He over-charges and talks down on you. Doesn't even spend his time talking to you, he's not interested and treats his customers like dirt. He is a serious a**hole. He overcharged me for tinting my side markers, raising the price from what it used to be to 4 times more!! AND ON TOP OF IT, HE DID A HORRIBLE JOB!!!!!!!!! Before they actually used to take the side markers off and wrap around it, but since this new guy works here he doesn't care. Especially since I asked him questions about why he was so rude, he raised the price even more. He lied to me about a couple things but I honestly forgot what they were. I ended up leaving the place agitated for the rest of the day. Tinting gets a two star rating. Customer service gets a negative ten. I hope that guy gets fired. read more

I got my windows tinted here last year for my birthday (which coincidentally happens to be this coming sunday) :] My boyfriend was sick of me complaining about how i was jealous of his tints so he bought me my own. We were going over in that direction anyway to go eat at Flemming's, so we just dropped my car off and it was ready long before we were done with dinner. The one thing that kind of sucked was figuring out which tint you wanted. They have the tints up against a white wall, which would seem like a good idea but it's not really accurate. It makes you think its not as dark as it really is. And of course on my birthday of all days in September, it decided to rain. So it was overcast and everything looked darker than it really was. So i pussied out and only got 15% all around. Which isn't light at all, but i kind of wish i got 10. The guy working convinced me to get 15% and i regret letting him. Anyway i always suggest this place to my friends who want to get their windows tinted. It was reasonably priced, fast, and good quality. I drive a 2008 corolla and it was 160 all around. Not bad at all. Check this place out. It's legit. Oh, and of course there's a lifetime warranty. read more

AVOID! AVOID! AVOID! A DENT was left on my car and they failed to acknowledge they caused it when there was no way a DENT could've ended up on my car since it is a new car! POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE! They became defensive and started yelling when I inquired about the dent. All I wanted was an admission or clarification that it was an accident but all I got was an upset employee YELLING AT ME with horrible customer service!!! PARTS REMOVED WITH NO PERMISSION. Also, they will remove certain parts on your car such as the rearview mirror if they need to install the tint without your express permission thereby potentially causing certain parts to break or malfunction without your knowledge. BE CAREFUL if you have a high end car with a technology package as they may disrupt, break, alter, or remove items to cause certain functions of your car to not work properly. THEY NEED TO ASK YOU FOR PERMISSION IF THEY ARE GOING TO ALTER ANYTHING TO YOUR CAR! Save yourself a headache and go to much more reputable provider even if it requires you to pay more. I recently bought a black 5 series Bimmer. The car itself is in great shape, but the paint had numerous scratches and little things that were getting under my skin. I also went for the blackout look, and still had some trim that was chrome that I did not like. I brought my car to Rob @ Solar Eclipse, and he kept the car for the entire day. When I got the car back, I barely recognized it. The detail work went way beyond, as they had to buff almost the entire car and several panels even needed sanding to get back down to the true finish. The black vinyl wrapping finished the car and made it exactly what I was looking for. They are very accommodating, and very reasonably priced for the amount of work performed.
