Absolutely terrible experience. I had to leave after less than 10 minutes because the foot pain was unbearable. On top of that, the staff was extremely disrespectful and made discriminatory comments about my age, which was completely unacceptable. The salon itself feels cheap and poorly maintained--even the floor is made of pennies. I would never recommend this place to anyone. Save your time, money, and feet and go somewhere else. read more

Went to many manicurist in Park city. They're clean they're friendly. They're efficient. And I always love my nails.

Pleasant technicians. The salon, however, appears quite dirty and worn out. There are old, cracked tiles on the floor, in addition to a large area of pennies embedded in the floor. Looked so dirty! The pedi chairs were filled with towels and other supplies, the washing station was not clean, and the individual work stations were a mess. The owner is usually found sitting on one of the pedi chairs playing on his phone. We would suggest he consider getting up to clean and organize his salon instead of sitting around. We have gone to this salon numerous times, but it's so bad that our group will go somewhere else from now on. Also, their web site shows a picture of a sparkling new salon, but that's obviously a very old photo, as it doesn't look anything like what they advertise. read more

This place is horrible. Went here with my mom and sisters and literally were done with 3 of our pedicures in 10 min. Drippy, messy polish, no base or top coat, barely even scrubbed or massaged our feet and no cuticle trimming. This place prioritizes a fast pedicure over a good pedicure. He rushed through it and was rough with it. I asked to not go short and he took his clippers and went as short as possible. They also use a grinder and not a manual buffer even if you're not doing acrylic- because well, it's faster and who cares that it weakens your nails. The paint job was messy and color was left on my skin. Uneven edges. No massage, no scrub, and no lotion is applied to your skin. I left with more boy/child looking toes than I stepped in with. He didn't care. He got it done quickly. The place was not even busy. They advertise cheap $25 pedicures but my pedicure totaled to $55 (not including tip) because I used gel.... The reviews I've read have been either great or terrible, but I'd put this place somewhere in the middle. Is this a super high-end nail salon? No. Do the manicurists work hard and do their best? Yes. I came here with my mother and cousin. Two of us got manicures and one got a pedicure. We were greeted right away and only had to wait a few minutes to be seen. My manicurist was friendly and did an excellent job - I wanted orange/red polish with white French tips, something fun for summer. After she did the first nail, she checked right away that it was what I wanted before continuing. She took her time on the tips and went back to ensure they all looked good. My mother's manicurist wasn't as friendly and got the job done very quickly, so I can see why people said their bails didn't take long, but I guess I didn't necessarily see this as a bad thing. It wasn't some luxurious so treatment, but her nails were done professionally and look great. The place is not immaculately clean, but I wouldn't call it dirty. Made an appointment a week in advance for a mani/pedi. During my pedi was told to come back later for my mani because I did not have an appointment and while other customers had appointments. I showed them my recent phone call list from a week ago, with the salon's #, showing I indeed called for an appointment. She was rude and showed no accountability for her mistake. To make matters worse, she took walk in manis knowing I was still in need. The disrespect and lack of accountability was surreal. I am local and could have easily been a repeat customer. I recommend shopping around before getting your nails done here. I got a manicure/pedicure and had a fairly poor experience and my nails also looked terrible-- I showed them to my mom and 3 girl friends, all of whom were surprised by how amateur they looked. I asked for the basic mani/pedi and when the lady realized I was not interested in any upgrade she treated me poorly and further did a bad job. Specifically, she did not cut or shape my nails and refused to touch up gaps in the polish when I asked (she said she was unable to do this because I didn't get gel). She also did not let me use the fan to dry my nails; she whisked it away as soon as another employee put it down in front of me to use. Lastly, she over-charged for the services by $5 (I was charged $45 when it should have been $40), which is just rude/abusive given that the prices are advertised on the menus. As an aside- the water for the pedicure was boiling hot, which was an issue multiple other guests raised as well. My SPECIAL ED daughter and I went for manicures. From the moment we walked in, the rudeness began! My daughter was sitting next to me and needed help with a color (pinky purple), my hands were soaking. I asked her technician if she could help my daughter as she had foil on her nails and was having a difficult time with the many rings of colors. The response from the technician , "I don't have her eyes, she needs to pick her own color". I was shocked and my daughter was very confused. I proceeded to explain to the technician that she works at the salon and knows the colors, can she suggest a pinky purple. At that moment the gentleman who works there said "she needs to use her own eyes". I informed him that my daughter was special ed and needed just a bit of assistance, to no avail, no apology, no understanding! This escalated into another technician screaming and flying her finger in front of my face, to the point I thought she would poke my eye out. When I told her she needed to calm down and remove herself from my face, the gentleman (which he was not btw) came over and was about to slap me!! I quickly moved away and called 911!!! Yes, I had to call 911. The officers arrived and fortunately this was on camera, they proceeded to watch the episode and asked if I wanted to press charges! I declined and had it documented. I wish I would have read these reviews before going here. I was visiting from out of town and happened to drive by so I stopped in for a gel manicure. This was the most aggressive, least relaxing, manicure I have ever had and it doesn't even look good. Completely rushed through it and then had the audacity to ask if I wanted a pedicure.... I have cuts underneath my nail on my skin from cutting them down with clippers. My cuticles are swollen and bloody in some spots from sharply ripping them. The gel has air bubbles throughout. There's some kind of fuzz painted right into another nail. Overall they look sloppy. I could have done a better job myself. $33 for a half ass gel manicure is unacceptable. Do not go here. read more

A lot of the people that work here are very nice but the manager, not sure if she is also the owner is horrible. She is the one who answers the phone and keeps the appointment book. She is incredibly rude and condescending and acts dejected and put out if she is the one that does your nails. You don't have a choice, by the way, she just tells you to sit down and then treats you like garbage. I've had 6 gel mani pedis and this last time is the last tome i will set foot in the place. They gave me a CHEMICAL BURN!!!! Save yourself please, STAY SAFE!!! Over the next 10 days after getting a paraffin was treatment on my hands and feet they blistered and cracked. It was extremely painful. When I went in to only ask for only a refund, as I had been a customer before and not had an issue although I know their reviews are mixed. The woman watering down polish with remover at the front looked at my blisters and told me it was only her responsibility if I had come in the next day. As it was a chemical burn of some kind, I think the cuticle remover being left on under the wax looking back on it? The burns had gotten progressively worse. She SCREAMED at me and told me to WATCH MYSELF, BE CAREFUL and that SHE COULD COME AFTER ME. It was so irate and unexpected as I was only asking for a refund and maybe some sympathy standing there with very visual burns. I was taken so off guard I stared to cry and she didn't back off. In fact the man in the shop that had done this to me finished what he was doing and said he didn't need to give me anything back even after acknowledging he did remember me and that I had tipped really well while paying in cash as they request. I was hoping they would give me the owners info as no one would want their business to be run like this or people to have the experience I did... STILL HEALING WEEKS LATER. Hopefully they will reach out after this review... I just wanted everyone to know for their safety, I have never posted anything before. Just don't want anyone to go through what I did!!!!!! *****I just want everyone to be informed so you are able protect yourselves!!! I did have to go to inter mountain after going here and see a very respected Doctor there that confirmed the timeline for a chemical burn to be accurate. Unlike you how are, respectfully, much much much less educated than a doctor in the heath care field and still disregarding my pain with their response. The doctor was horrified at what they did to me and said it could take 6 months to a year to heal, getting worse before it gets better. Never ever again. I've been here twice and was 1) never impressed by cleanliness but this last time was the last straw for me. I came in at about 130 this past Sunday and the place was empty. Ok. Cool. No wait. 30 mins later the place was so jammed my guy was trying to rush his way through my mani and pedi. He told me to wait on the top coat on my hands and started another ladies pedicure. Five minutes later I have to ask for the top coat and he's about to apply without washing his hands after handling someone else's feet. Ewe. Like I had to ask him to wash his hands. Then he tried to rush and messed up a nail of mine which he wasn't happy to fix. As it is. The nails looked like crap. The final straw - I bring my own Chanel polishes and he was so careless about screwing on the top that the polishes leaked and made a mess. Never ever again says it all. read more

Wish I could rate zero stars. Went in with a friend for acrylics, and the service was very unprofessional. My nails ended up sharp and see through. There are too many coats of nail polish, so they ended up too big, and I can still see parts of my nail. My friend's nails were no better. Aside from the nails, I brought 2 gift cards that were expired by about a month, hoping that they would still accept it (I still don't understand why their gift cards have an expiration date). The worker not only didn't accept them, she then proceeded to tear them up right in front of us. When we asked if we could have them back, she handed us the pile of ripped paper. Changing to another. This is not a sanitary salon. I don't mind paying 'the price' when it's quality but this is not the place. After two years I thought I would give Solar Nail another try. I needed one nail repaired since my regular guy at a different salon was not available. When I first walked into Solar Nails I was directed to go talk to a woman who was still working with a client. I told her what I needed and she looked at me like I was absolutely stupid. I asked if she could do it (or not) and again she told me she was with a client. I could see that, ...I just needed to know if I should wait for her or leave. I did say, "If you can't do it, I can go elsewhere". She then said again, I'm with a client. I have been going to Solar Nails at Newpark for several years. I find it to be clean and the staff to be professional. Since Covid, they take extra precautions to make their customers feel safe.
