This is just your typical shopping strip nail salon. There was nothing really fancy about it. I was serviced immediately without an appointment but they weren't busy. The lady took her time with my pedicure. I don't know if the polish was old, or if it was her but it just isn't a smooth finish. One of my toes looks almost see-through and there are a few bumps. It's not terrible but also not the best. The basic pedicure was $27. I came here bc it was close to my dentist office and I desperately needed a pedicure. I will stick to my usual spot. read more

I really enjoyed my experience at this salon. I went on a Saturday morning when it was not so busy. Everyone was very welcoming. They have a lot of design options which I really appreciate and I love the quality of work. I changed my mind about the design at least three times and the young lady helping me was so patient. Average- basic pedicure was $31. They don't have a liner for pedicure and not sure how they clean it afterwards. It has massage chair with pedicure. Overpriced for basic accommodations. Not much of a nail polish selection for regular pedicure. No price list but they tell you it's $31 but at the end they notify that 1.25% is added. So the pedicure was $32-$33. Why wait til the end instead of telling me price upfront. I would only go back if I was desperate. read more

Major failure to communicate with Tim on understanding what ombre means. Oh well I won't be back. This was my first time at this nail salon. Their prices are not listed on the wall. Around 2:30 pm the Maryland State Inspector (Kevin) came to inspect the business so they can obtain their license. They had several violations cited. They were told to throw away the graters used on the feet, they are illegal in the state of MD as well as razors. They were also cited for using Fantastik cleaner in the tubs they use for pedicures. They were told they have to use a germicide. They were also cited for reusing pumice stones. They have to use a new one for each customer they can't be sanitized. Also, they have 2 people working there performing services that aren't licensed in the state of MD and 1 of which that doesn't hold a license in any state. read more

I came here after work for a pedicure and gel manicure without an appointment on a Thursday. I waited about 10-15 minutes before they got started on me since there were 2 people ahead of me. The lady who did my nails was very nice. The cleaning tools that they use seem properly sanitized, however I did not see any cleaning being done to the pedicure water basins between customers. This freaks me out so I don't think I would get another pedicure there. Usually places will use the disposable plastic liners, but they didn't have that either. Prices were reasonable. read more

They do NOT follow laws and regulations on sanitation at all. I'm a cosmetologist and I know the laws. I went there for a service and as I was getting my service started I noticed that they reuse all their tools for every client. The worst part was that one of the technicians just wiped the metal tools with a paper towel and put them in the sealed bag which indicates the item has been sterilized. I'm about to move to Greenbelt, so I figured I should start the hunt for a great nail place. I think my hunt is over after my first try. I love this place! I got a mani/pedi ($42 with designs on two fingers and two toes). The woman switched between my hands and toes so that everything was done in just over an hour. I got designs, which I absolutely loved. They have the best massage chairs I've ever tried at a salon. My mom got her eyebrows done and the look GREAT! She said the best part was that the man walked around the table to do each side and make sure they were even instead of eyeballing it from one side of the table. Someone mentioned that there wasn't cell service, but I got full service with my Sprint phone. After my mom and I had finished our services, they didn't mind at all that we wanted to sit in the chairs for another twenty minutes just to chat. I needed to change my clothes and asked if I could use their bathroom and the woman shoo-ed me into one of the waxing rooms so they I could have more space and a bigger mirror! My nails still look great 9 days later, but the customer service is what's going to have me coming back for a long, long time! read more

I hate when I get bad service at places I once liked... I've been to this place before and got a decent pedicure so I decided to go back when I needed another.. This time I never even made it to the chair.. I arrived with only two other people getting services and was barely greeted.. I picked my color and proceeded to wait to be called.. In the 20 or so minutes I sat another lady walked in behind me and was seen right away.. I asked how long until I was seen and I got a very snarky 30 minutes from the male manicurist.. I really wanted to like this place... but they just didn't live up to all the hype for me! For one, the quality was just not all that great. I got a french full set, and they already look bad (not even one week later). Also, it seems as if around my cuticles kinda dried out the next day after leaving. On top of that, when I told the lady who was doing my pedicure not to use latex gloves, she didn't have a clue what that meant... (I feel like you should know your craft, especially if you are using a product that quite a few people are allergic to - which for some can be fatal...) I went with my sisters who had been there before. When we got to the salon, they asked if we could wait about 30 min. My sisters said yes because they really like it there. My sisters got pedis and were seen in about 20 minutes. I spent over an hour waiting to get my gel tips filled. By the time I saw an hour had past it was too late to go anywhere else so I stuck it out (it was close to 8pm). They did a decent job but it wasn't anything spectacular or worth a wait that long. There is a review from May 12, 2013 that said the girl waited and another person came in and was seen immediately. It was actually my wedding party, I had called and made appointments for all my girls and one was running late. Just thought I would let them know. I won't let anyone else do my eyebrows and I have never had a bad experience here. I've had manis, pedis, gels, and, the during the experience above, a hot stone pedi. Which rocked. This isn't necessarily a negative review, as much as I didn't find it to be the 5-star quality that other reviewers gave it. I came here based on the reviews and upon an acquaintance's recommendation. I made a last-minute appointment on Friday afternoon because my gel nail polish needed to be removed. The salon service is mediocre at best. Yes, it is very clean and they have a huge selection of colors. When I walked in, I was greeted by two male technicians and one female technician. While I'm not one to agree with gender roles, I was slightly surprised by the two male technicians, mostly because I haven't had one in the past. I had one of the male technicians, and again, he wasn't bad, but he didn't seem too experienced. The language barrier was a minor issue. I had an open cut on one of my fingers, and the technician dumped both of my hands in acetone. This was painful, but seemingly an honest mistake due to language differences. What was also odd was that the pedicure and manicure stations seemed too numerous for the amount of technicians in the salon. I wasn't a fan of the tools, which were flimsy in my opinion. When I returned home, I had to clean up the excess polish around my nails. The manicure was $17, not bad, and really, everyone was very nice. However, I've had better. This place is good if you need a last-minute mani, but I won't be here regularly. read more

Told the nail tech (didn't get his name unfortunately) that I wanted something cute because it was my birthday weekend a couple of colors and he did his thing. I absolutely love my nails. Also got a pedicure and the nail tech took her time and made sure she got my toes sandal ready. Came in at around 6:30pm and they still took their time and got the job done correctly. I have been going to this salon consistently for about a year. They do GREAT eyebrows and a good job on nails as well. There is never a long wait when I do however I tend to go during the daytime. The salon is under new management! The two prior employees (Bill & Lisa/Katie) no longer own/work at the salon. I was an infrequent client of the salon prior to their departure, learned the salon is under new management, and decided to see about the new owners/staff. Three new employees were present when I visited and were warm and very professional. I visited for a pedicure and the experience was extremely pleasant. The tech (younger female) did not rush through my service and was very attentive. Another tech (older female) came by to make sure her technique and finished product were satisfactory. This is such a friendly, welcoming place near the Greenbelt Co-op that does a fantastic job every time. The staff seems happy to be there with the clients and each other. There are large windows in front to let in lots of natural light. It is much more spacious than most nail salons. I'm puzzled by the comment from a reviewer recently who complained that tools are reused - they are not, from my experience. I go every two weeks and every time they use clean tools that come out of a sealed sanitary bag. Every time. It is very nice to have this friendly business right in old Greenbelt. read more

I gave them a third chance. I love them again. The ladies there are very sweet there and the nail technician I had the last time has grown and become much more gentle at giving pedicures. She was very thorough and comforting. I will say that I am not a fan of getting my legs waxed there though. They use a process that is needlessly painful and I am not really sure how thorough. Additionally, they had two people in the room and I felt obligated to tip both. It ended up being a painful and expensive venture. In the end I don't think they really got it down to the root either, so I suspect this will grow out rather soon. read more

Had an appointment at 12noon and was on time. Walked in and manger asked my I help you and I indicated that I made an appointment for 12noon. I ask him was the nail techinican there and he said yes but she was servicing another customer. The manager asked what type of service was I having, which I stated when I made the appointment, manicure and pedicure. He then begin to ask me several questions about what type of service is required for my nails, which I was not understanding. I then asked him to explain to me what's the differences in the services, he begin to explain that I needed services for acrylic, fill-in, nails, etc. Not sure why I needed to know all this I just wanted my nails and feet done. He indicated the person I had the appointment with didn't know how to do acrylic nails, but what does that have to do with me getting a pedicure. I then asked him if he did nails and asked if he would do my nails and said NO he has an appointment, which by the way didn't arrive until 12:45pm. I then asked him if another technician could do my nails, he said sure and he ask me to pick a chair to sit in so he could put acetone on my feet to remove gel. At this point a customer indicated to me to go the the end of the line of chairs, which I felt very insulted by her. After sitting there for 45 minutes the nail technician that I asked for final came to service me and she did a great job! At the end of my service I spoke with the female manager about how I felt mistreated and was not pleased at all with how I was treated. I explained to her while sitting there for three (3) hours I noticed how differently they were treating clients and she tried to explain to me about how they try to pair persons who knows how to do specific services, which I understand but what's the purpose of me making an appointment if I have to sit and wait, totally unacceptable. The woman manager extended an apologize but it would have been nice to offer a discount for service rendered. This is the very first negative review I have posted of anything ever, but I have to tell you to NEVER go here for a bikini wax! My daughter and I had different people do the same service and they were both very bad bordering on awful! It took forever and worse yet, their wax went all over the place, stained our underwear and took more than twice the regular time. In addition, the wax did not come of properly in places and they had to pick pieces off with tweezers! My daughter's person who had done my nails before and done a below average job at that, also burned her by putting the wax too hot 3 times! My person did not burn me but she did take forever and still left me kind of sticky and sore after trying to remove the stuff that wasn't coming off! I spoke to the manager and was not very pleased with him either. I should have left this place without paying but didn't have it in me. I did say that the service was not worth paying for and suggested that he do at minimum pay for one and get the other free. He said the best he could do was do 20% off which was ridiculous. I paid $52 and I regretted paying anything as soon as I got home and tried removing the stain from my underwear, not happening. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE! I am going to have to bake a treat for my regular person at a different shop when she comes off quarantine and then vacation. read more
