After "interviewing" Sunfire, and other contractors, I selected Sunfire for my project based in part on their positive customer reviews and pricing. Another important factor in my decision was the knowledge, hands on experience, and professionalism of Thomas Kemp. Thomas worked with me to develop a projection of monthly and annual electric use with the recent addition of two plug-in hybrid electric vehicles and a hot tub; demands not reflected in historical use data. And then Thomas worked with me on a "bundle" of home energy improvements that included replacement of the electrical service panel, purchase and installation of two high-efficiency mini-split heat pumps, and a 6.4 kw solar PV array. The bundled price was very competitive relative to quotes from other contractors. Soon after an agreement was signed Sunfire went to work on the service panel replacement and then the mini-split heat pump installation. Of note is that I was allowed to specify the brand and models of the heat pumps. Installation of the PV array was the final step and was delayed approximately two months while approval processes and permitting were completed by the electric utility and the City of Albuquerque. The array was energized two weeks ago and to date it has performed exactly as projected in terms of peak output and daily yield. Based on what I see so far I'm confident the annual projected yield will be realized and will meet 95-100% of our household electrical use, including that of the two PHEVs. And finally, all of the individuals I interacted with through the duration of the project were responsive, easy-going, and professional. This included the assigned project manager, other office personnel, the electrician, HVAC guy, and others involved in the installation of the PV array. Overall I had a great experience with Sunfire Solar and wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to others.

The plants were 1-gallon plants at best, maybe 10 plants. His idea of two sections with some rock was just dumped rock with a few plants in it. You would be lucky to find the plants in all the dumped rock. I now have to find another landscaper to fix the BIG MESS. I will be very careful to interview landscapers to fix this. I worked with 6 different roofers that all had excellent reviews to get multiple opinions and bids. Green Mountain was able to come out the fastest, got me a bid within 24 hours, and Zach patiently walked me through different options (TPO, Silicone, and repairs to the tar + gravel). We talked through the pros/cons of each material and the cost differences. From a cost perspective, Green Mountain came in down the middle of the bunch. From a thoughtfulness, responsiveness, timeliness, friendliness, and professionalism perspective, Green Mountain was at the very top. Green Mountain was extremely communicative throughout the job. He checked in afterwards. His team showed up when they said they would and left the property as clean as they found it. Because this was for a home I was purchasing, Green Mountain had to run around and coordinate with the seller, the seller's insurance agent, myself, and the seller's agent. He also had to schedule the job with only a couple of days notice, and complete it within 3 days so we could make our closing date. Green Mountain was able to get it all done without making compromises on quality. Once I got into the home and inspected the roof, I found some extremely minor areas of concern. Green Mountain came back out promptly to address them. I will definitely be working with Green Mountain again on other projects for the home.

I was called within the hour and my appointment was scheduled. Before the appointment, Jayson called ahead to tell me his name and what he would be driving so that I would know it was him. He showed up 15 minutes early. This is amazing considering most people show up late. He was kind, polite and courteous. Because my roof was over 20 years old, I assumed my roof would not be covered by my insurance and I would have to pay for the whole thing. He walked me through the steps of filing a claim with my insurance and even met with the adjuster to survey the roof and make sure all the damage and code violations were noted. They actually convinced them to cover the cost! All I had to pay was my deductible. The roofers were all friendly, fast and efficient. They took their time making sure all roofing debris and nails were picked up. I couldn't be happier and the roof looks great. I also got multiple calls from Jayson keeping me in the loop and making sure that I was satisfied with their work. Two thumbs up!

When we had hail damage, two years later, one of the…read morecontractors from another company inspected our roof and said that ours was one of the few elastomeric roofs he had seen that were done correctly. This made me feel great about A Plus exteriors. We needed our skylights replaced and a couple of holes patched in the roof coating after the hailstorm. We called A Plus to have this work done. They replaced two skylights. The one in the master bath leaked the first time it rained. They returned and did something to the seal. Then it dripped water from condensation when the outside temps dropped. They had replaced our skylights with single pane fixtures and tried to tell us that that is what we had before. We've lived here 10 years and never had dripping from condensation. The 2nd skylight had a leaf sticking through the seal to the inside of the house. Perhaps they were overwhelmed with work from the hail storms and hired extra workers but...it was Darrell who told us we had single pane skylights before. He also said he would have to order double pane and that it would take a couple of weeks to get them. In fact, they were installed the same day. We need our house painted but probably won't use them again.
