"I recommended your shop to my daughter based off of a large number of positive Yelp reviews. She came in for routine service on her 2015 Prius with ~75,000 miles. See Invoice #xxxxx. I am very disappointed with how this went. Setting aside your ludicrous prices for replacing her filters (a common tactic), you sprung a brake fluid flush on her when that was not something she requested for her service. Toyota's own maintenance guide indicates that the brake fluid for the 2015 Prius does not need maintenance - it is designed to last for the lifetime of the car. It feels like you took advantage of my daughter's youth and lack of car knowledge and robbed her of $250, but before I take to social media or anything, I thought I'd give you all a chance to make this right. To clarify, she had no issues with her brakes going into this, and nothing in the documentation says there was a leak or other problem. You simply did an expensive and unnecessary procedure."

The dashboard had to come off for the work, so I understand some things had to be moved. However, when I picked my car up they hadn't bothered putting the passenger floor mat back down. Instead it was on top of the seat. They also didn't bother plugging my phone charger back in. I found it tossed in the back seat. The next day I noticed grease stains all over the interior ceiling. The shop let me bring it back in and cleaned them, but now there are just parts of the fabric with a different texture (and still slightly discolored...) from being scrubbed. When I'm spending $2,000 at a shop, I expect my property to be cared for and not returned to me in a worse condition. I will take my business elsewhere in the future.

The guys also did a great job powdercoating and refitting the new bull bar, in addition to the winch hookups, accessory lights, etc. Definitely not your standard job! This is my first ever review on Yelp, but these guys are so good that I couldn't help but sign up for yelp and post this. It is so unbelievably rare to feel like a mechanic is being honest. Being a female, you know going into any shop you're most likely going to be taken advantage of. Not at all the case with these guys. They're just good honest people from the get go. My issue with my car turns out was covered under an extended warranty that I didn't know about. So instead of doing the work and charging me, they suggested I go to the dealer and get it taken care of under warranty. Of course the dealer then found other things "wrong" with the car. When reviewing those items with Chad, he told me straight up which of those things should or shouldn't be taken care of and what they would cost if he did them. One of which was around the same cost as what the dealer quoted, so he suggested just going ahead and letting the dealer do it. Bottom line -- Chad and his team are first class and even though I live in San Diego, I will absolutely be bringing my car back to them when it needs work. read more

Solely Bimmer is, by my experience, not just a mechanic - they are artists as well. Their work is top-notch. They are efficient, timely, knowledgeable, honest/trustworthy, and their work is also clean and organized. I have a 1990 BMW E30 (not many independant mechanics can knowledgeably service this model of car anymore). Since owning the E30, I have had Solely Bimmer do the following work: 1) Radiator & Tubing replacement 2) Spark Plug, Spark Plug Wiring, Distributor Cap + Rotor Replacement 3) Brake Wiring replaced 4) 4-6 Oil Changes Every time I am there, I have no doubt that my car will be taken care of. They not only charge extremely fair prices, but they also take the time to explain the issue with your car and how they intend to fix it. The crew there is extremely friendly - Travis, Abel, Carson, and Matt are all great. Every time I go to Solely, I walk out with more understanding and knowledge of my car than I did before. Once again Chad and his team were able to diagnose my car this week and repair it but here is the twist in the story. While Chad right away was able to repair my car he did not plan that the new part ordered would in fact be defective. Because of the nature of the repair and time required my car would have to be in the shop over night. What he did next simply sets him apart from all other BMW private repair garages in Orange County. Chad understands that if you are without a vehicle (especially if you are in sales) that this can cost you in many ways and because of this he gave me the keys to his 5 series BMW so I could conduct my business the next day. This is the first time I went there. The service was professional, quick, and very accurate. Thanks to Chad and the business for saving me probably $300!!! just to replace a simple fog light. Check with him when those warning lights come on because as we have learned the computer systems in these cars get quite touchy. Whatever service or repairs I need in the future will definitely be done by this place. Remember, definitely go here if your warranty is out, as BMW wanted to charge me an unnecessary $180 or something test, which was totally not necessary. Thanks again Chad!!! read more

This is my go to mechanic for my BMW. They are always thorough, reasonable and fair in their rates. The guy tries to give me some BS price on a transmission in which my car didn't need. He was trying to say $10K, and I'm like buddy, it's $1500 for a rebuilt. Then he said, well I got to pay my bills, and this place is expensive monthly. Like I care about your bills. If you're a bad mechanic that can only make money off scans and oil changes then I don't think you should be able to pay your bills honestly speaking and you should go out of business. Also how I found out what was actually wrong with my car was by replacing my battery. Then purchasing a $300 Durametric device, I was then able to use it to scan the car for codes. The Durametric gave me the codes on my laptop. I then used an AI to help me read the codes and clear the low voltage errors. I then test drove the car for 30 minutes and to no surprise I didn't have a transmission problem, and it was really a low voltage problem because of the old battery. Now, in conclusion this guy is an absolute However on the bright side, I now have the confidence to open up my own Porsche shop and charge people 9 grand to each person instead of 10. This place is in fact a joke, ZERO stars (as I had to waste time and gas to get there... and it's not even worth that to go here).

Bringing the car in and dropping it off was a smooth and easy process. I explained the issues I was having or things I was noticing. After doing their diagnostics, they found several issues I wasn't even aware of. They explained the issues but also didn't push to have all the work done, they clearly stated which issues could wait and they wouldn't start any work before my approval. I personally did not want to wait on any issues, so I gave the go ahead to have all the work completed. I did have a warranty and thankfully they were knowledgeable with how the warranty works. They were able to contact the warranty company to submit a claim and fought to have as much work covered as possible. Christian texted me with updates throughout the process and wasn't frustrated or short with me when I'd reach out with questions. Unfortunately with my work schedule, I wasn't able to pick up the car until a few days after the work was completed. They did offer to do an after hours pick up, which was a nice option. My experiences with auto shops in the past have been drastically different, so this was a really great experience. I trust them to work on my car moving forward and look forward to working them again. Highly recommend to everyone!

That explanation didn't really give me confidence that the service was done properly. If the fluid was actually flushed, it shouldn't still look this dark. I expected better results. I wouldn't trust this place.
