Came here today for breakfast the only thing that was good was the blonde cake. Bottomless mimosas were good but you can have those elsewhere. The food was not good at all but maybe the burgers. The breakfast burger with the egg on top I forgot what it's called but that had way too much bread for what it has inside. The chicken quesadilla was one of the worst quesadillas I have ever had it was more veggies and tortilla than cheese and chicken. The waiter was so slow I went to go get him twice to go refill our drinks and my friend did another three times. I even went to go grab him so I could pay my damn bill. It was ridiculous but hey I had to try it out it LOOKS a lot better than it is. Definitely can live without this place ever again! It has a lot of potential hopefully they make it better or something better comes along for this awesome location! read more

They had me sold at bottomless mimosas and they far exceeded my expectations! If you didn't already know, they have bottomless mimosas on sundays. It is life changing! I thought we were going to get the typical champagne glass half filled with champagne. Boy was I wrong! First of all, our server was amazing! With COVID, you pick 3 different juice flavors to come with your mimosas. They have mango, pomegranate, cranberry, passion orange guava, passion orange mango, and a few other flavors. We ordered our mimosas and he brings out this giant wine glasses and fills it 3/4 full with champagne. He then brings out our mason jars filled with juice. Each time we got low, he brought out a bottle of champagne and I swear he used the whole bottle on the two of us each time. Our server was incredibly attentive and just all around awesome! Sat down on the patio on a Monday night, it took 20 minutes for us to wave down a waiter to get menus. . . Another 20 minutes goes by, we weren't even acknowledged or offered water. There were maybe 10 occupied tables, so it wasn't that busy. After waiting almost an hour, we decided to take our business elsewhere, since they obviously didn't want ours. Wow! What happened to you guys. You have always been our go to when we are downtown. We came in tonight an hour and 15 minutes before we were going over to the knitting factory for a concert. We were seated as soon as we got there, and that was the last good thing that happened. It literally took an hour 2 get our 2 burgers. We asked our waitress a few times when we would get our food, and each time she told us about 5 minutes. She told us they were just slammed, but we could look around and see several empty tables and the ones that were occupied, no one had any food. We were literally putting on our coats to leave to the show when our food finally came out. Both of our orders were wrong, but we did not want to have to wait another hour to get them correct. So we wolfed them down in 5 minutes and left. How do you get cold fries if the kitchen is that slammed? Anyway, I had a cocktail, and in the hour we were there the waitress never asked if I wanted another drink, or if my wife wanted her soda refilled. When we did get our food, I had to go hunt someone down to get some silverware. Like I said, this used to be our go to when we were downtown, but I doubt we set foot inside again. read more

Solid is one of my favorite places to eat downtown. It's very casual with lots of seating and a creative menu. The risotto bites, and grilled halloumi are ridiculously good. The burgers and salads are also a safe bet, very fresh ingredients. You can see live music here on the patio and that's really cool. I was here today and our waitress was great! Great location and a nice find. They had a really scenic outdoor space and I was surprised by the live music. The waiting staff was also quite personable and had a great understanding of the menu items. The food there was very creative and I found my burger to be very well made. They also have the options for sweet potato fries which is always a win in my book. Their creme brulee was creamy and freshly made. I guess the only criticism I really had was that a few of the cocktails weren't that well made. I had one of their signature drinks and it came out kind of sake and overly sweet. Glad this place is opened so late! My friends and I came in for a late night bite and it did not disappoint. The fries were nice and crispy, the hot wings were delicious (wish it had more for the price-: 4 wings). The chicken with waffles was fine, although would not get again (cannot pinpoint what was off). Overall, it was a pleasant experience, I am not sure if this would be my go-to place though. Indigo and I absolutely love Solid! It has been a favorite dining spot for awhile now. I enjoy the locally made blown glass chandelier and patio area where they have live music. The food is home cooked comfort with a classy local flair. My favorites include, sweet potato enchiladas, chicken and waffles (huge portion!) and their chocolate bread pudding. Any seasonal dessert is a sure thing. I can't remember a bad dish here. Service is exceptional especially if your waiter is Olek. Even when he isn't our waiter he still takes the time to make sure we are well taken care of. Note: I've been coming here for years and only experienced a lack of service once (Olek wasn't working that night otherwise it wouldn't have happened) and after speaking to the manager (which I never do except for this one time since this is one of my favorite restaurants) she made it right and then some. She was extremely professional and Solid remains a favorite place of mine. Despite being a bar/restaurant late night establishment, they have always been kind to Indigo. There is no easy stroller access (there is a lift for wheelchairs around the side of the building) as it is an historical type of building. We hit up dinner a little early on Friday night, around 5 p.m. or so; there weren't many folks when we arrived and service was a wee bit slow. But when we did have someone help us, they were professional and polite. We got the ménage a trois which was pretty darn good, especially the pesto! My husband got a burger and I got the Cuban; it was a decent take on the sandwich with pickle and mustard which was exceptionally delish, but the meat was ok. I enjoyed the side salad, not the usual iceberg or spinach, but a good mixed greens bit. Overall, pretty delicious and a great quick bite in a lovely area of town, we were in and out within an hour, so we didn't have to pay for parking in the nearby garage. And of course, dessert is right across the street so it was nice to meander over after dinner to snag some ice cream. I wouldn't say we'd go back just to go back, but it would definitely be a convenient dinner when we're hungry and in the area. read more

Let's just say solid was not a solid choice. We called to make reservations per their Facebook page and was told that it was not needed. We then shower up for Easter brunch and found out that yes it was. I ordered huevos rancheros, Corn tortillas were raw, eggs over cooked and there was hardly anything on the tortilla (salsa verde etc). I could made a better dish at home. Clam chowder was more potato chowder but good. They kinda toasted my sourdough bread. Took over an hour to get food...service was not great. Ok spot for a casual bite. The atmosphere seems a little dated and smelled a little stale, but it didn't bother me much since I was in and out with takeout while in town for business. The pear salad was OK - the strawberry vinaigrette dressing was nice but they could have used mixed greens with spinach (versus all spinach) and it needed larger slices of pear (instead of the small chop) and more cheese (instead of the small slice from the chevre log placed on top). The mac and cheese entree was quite small (taking it to go), definitely not a healthy portion as the description states. I've been in a few times and have had very different experiences each time. My first visit was by far the best, my wife and I were brought here by some friends who happen to frequent this spot. The food and drinks they recommended were great and the server was very knowledgeable and friendly. We left making a mental note to absolutely make it back in and soon. Our second visit in was on a rare kids with the sitter kind of a date night. I'd made mention to the hostess that we wanted to be in the back where it's a big quieter and were told that we were being seated in the bar. Not really what we were looking for but we were sort of pressed for time as we had movie tickets so we had no choice but to take the table. It's loud in there, I mean I know it's a bar and bars are loud.. but with all the hard surfaces in there they really shouldn't seat diners in there. The food was good, service was horrible and non existent but luckily we like each other and had a good time regardless. Our latest and probably last visit in was after a BSU game. We wanted to eat some real food and drown our sorrows after a horrible loss but ended up just mad at ourselves for giving the place another shot. The service really is atrocious. The food was greasy, way too salty and pretty gross, nowhere near the food from that first visit. Such a bummer! 3* because the bartenders know their drinks and make them well. Stopped in for dinner with my husband and adult daughter. Ordered the Cauliflower Bombers, it would take a bomb to break through the "lightly tempura" batter. I couldn't poke my fork though them to pick it up, I had to scoop one on to my plate and break it apart. When the waitress asked how they were I told her that they were super hard and demonstrated(to the embarrassment of my family) how hard they were by trying to chop them with a knife. She simply said "oh". My husband had the Seoul Burger, great idea poorly executed. No need for tomato and onion it is out of place with the kimchi. The sweet chili glaze was tasty, spicy bacon tasty, but the kimchi was just meh. Combining all three together made a very salty burger. Fries were the star of the night. My daughter had the salmon with a vegetable risotto which looked like watery rice with frozen veggies(she did not even taste it) she said the salmon was good. Finally, I had the Wild Grains and Greens. Quinoa salad with cucumbers, chickpeas, tomatoes, pickled onions and avocado on a bed of greens. Mostly greens with very little of the listed main ingredients. And the orange curry dressing had very little flavor and did not have much of a curry taste. have to say we really enjoyed our time here. the patio was just fantastic-- comfortable and ample seating, quick and friendly service, and the guy they had out there singing and playing guitar provided for perfect entertainment. we ordered the cheese and meats platter and the spinach dip to split and had some wine. the happy hour menu was not provided to us but we must have chosen some things from it because the bill reflected the discount. the food was good but yes it could have been improved upon- mostly the dip. it was lacking in flavor. the cheese platter just needed more variety as far as a few crackers to go with the bread- this is not a real complaint though, just a thought. overall just a perfect experience and we left very happy. i highly recommend this place! read more

Decided to try a new place on the 3rd. Great outside seating area and local live music. Too bad the service was terrible from getting an order, the time to prepare, and quality. My Cuban sandwich was basically a semi dry pulled pork and the accompanying salad really sad. The blueberry mojito was soda water with a sprig of mint waved at it and two frozen blueberries.
