4/25/26- 5* on the Ruben sandwich. The pub was a little slow but good for us because we were able to get a table for 5. We did expect to see a lot of Irish style food on the menu but that wasn't the case, was pretty much a bar menu. Finger steaks they said was their best go to which caught me off guard for an Irish pub. Went with a Ruben crossing my fingers it was good since the menu didn't really get me too excited. I was blown away with the RUBEN!! Got it and thought I was gonna chow down another regular sandwich but it was the best Ruben I've ever had!!! The meat was as perfect as perfect gets, the kraut, the cheese! All of it was something I was super satisfied with! I got sweet potato fries substituted and they were really good. I liked this place just okay, but didn't hate it or anything like that. I was able to sit by one of the windows where the light was coming through. But, the place seemed a bit dark and dim being inside to me. The televisions were dimmed despite being on with the sports channel or whatever what was showing. I was here around dinner time with my dad some friends. I liked the food and the service was just fine, so no complaints about that part. I just feel like they could brighten this place up with more lights inside, but that's just me. Sorry if I sound not satisfied. I wonder when I'll be back here? Who knows. read more

This joint is a pub first. My family and I came here after a day of skiing. We all enjoyed our food! Service was good. We sat ourselves in the larger dining room. It felt a little odd in there, almost like a forgotten storage area. Anyway, if you want a fun spot to have a beer and decent food, give it a try! read more

If our server, Chelsea had been the least bit pleasant I would have given a 5 star review because the food was delicious. However, it took at least a half hour to get our drinks and another hour to get our food order and it wasn't even busy. I've been going to O'Michael's Pub for a few years now and I always make sure I go on Mondays when they have their $6 build-your-own burger deal. Burgers come with your standard ingredients including a beef patty, lettuce, tomato, onion, and pickles. Then, you have the option to pick 3 extra ingredients from 3 categories, which includes pepper jack cheese, grilled mushrooms, bacon, guacamole, and many more! You also get your choice of a side including french fries, onion rings (extra charge), salads, or soup - yes, the burger and side together are only $6! As for atmosphere, O'Michael's is your classic pub with drinks on tap, TVs on the walls, and a stone fireplace in the middle that is glorious when it's freezing in the winter! The noise level can get a little louder when everyone is there at once, but the general feel is that everyone is welcome. I would definitely pay them a visit them on Mondays for burgers if you want something quick, affordable, and quality. Be sure to also try the grilled onions or grilled mushrooms as one your choices. I went to this place on 4/1/2025 for the first time with a group of friends (5 total) for the trivia night. The waitress came by and we asked for a glass of water while we checked out the menu. We got the water and ordered food but my food never showed up. The rest of my group got their food but not I. The waitress never came by for a water refill either. We were there for about 2 and a half hours and not one refill. The waitress seemed totally disinterested in being there but seemed to have time to hang out at the coffee station and check her phone. Anyway, terrible service to say the least and after a first impression like this I don't expect I will be back. read more

The food was good and the grandkids enjoyed to listening to Irish Music including Jigs and Reels. The session is open to all wanted to join in with their guitar, violin, Tin whistle and or Bodhran Drum. Hope to participate again when I am town. We walked in not knowing what to expect but super excited. My boyfriend got the Dublin Dip and let me tell you something, DONT ORDER THE DUBLIN DIP. I ordered the patty melt and it was either three day old, already been grilled meat, or it was just cooked way, way, way too long. The fries are yummy though! Wednesday's mac and cheese special was incredible it included a side soup of tomato bisque. The mac and cheese was a very large size the cheese sauce was their homemade sauce it was nice and flavorful for the topping of bacon bits and other goodies. The tomato bisque soup was nice and hot along with right size chunks of tomato. It was tasty but nothing stellar The tater tots were also hot crispy and good but needed some special seasoning to make it super. We've never been here before and only stopped in because the neighboring restaurant has an entertainment and a 15-minute wait which meant we would not be out of there for at least 2 hours. Will be back here and if we have more time to spend we will be here when they also have entertainment. The atmosphere was cozy and neighborly and not as expensive as you might assume given the outside. The tattooed waitress was very friendly and helpful with awesome service. read more

I've been a regular at O'Michael's for 20 years. I have Sunday brunch there, occasionally pick up lunch, etc. I used to be a regular for their Monday night burgers. I stopped going a while back because the food was super greasy. After a long hiatus, a friend and I decided to try again. Huge mistake! It was packed, backed up and messy. It took 20 minutes to even get water, another 20 minutes to get a drink order. We knew it was busy, so we ordered food when we ordered drinks. Another 30ish minutes to get food, and my fries were cold. I asked for hot fries. I never got fries. When we finally asked for our checks, they charged my card twice (for my friend's meal as well as mine) and we had to get that fixed. The server wasn't the problem. Management failed her. Mondays are busy there but this was a comedy of errors with no backup. I think this was the nail in the coffin for me. We left pretty irritated. Other places in the area have better burgers. read more

I've been looking for a new Sunday place and this is it! The low light is great for those who partied too hard. Our waitress was super and the Bloody Mary's delicious. I ordered the Ruben with fries. My friend had the slaw with onion rings. Mine was delicious! The grilled onions really rounded out the flavor. It's was huge! I took half of it home. My friends sandwich was just as good. This place is exactly what I imagined the inside of a pub to look like--bar meets restaurant, old fireplace burning, dimly lit, with exposed brick and wood panels lining the walls of its interior. Food: Every once in a while, a girl just needs a good hamburger, so when I came here on an empty stomach with some friends, my eyes instantly went to the first hamburger option I saw on the menu. I ordered a burger (but got the smaller 1/4 lb option) and added bacon and blue cheese crumbles to it (ermagersh) and had fries on the side. I actually loved it. In fact, I ate every last bite (except for the raw onions that came with my burger...but really, does anyone ever eat those?). The bun was soft on the outside and toasted on the inside, the hamburger itself was delicious, and I tell ya, all you have to do is add a little bit of blue cheese and bacon to a burger and you're having a party. Service: We had the sweetest waitress (Kelly). She was so friendly and had a warm demeanor. Our drinks were filled the whole time and she was quick to bring us anything we asked for. Also, our food didn't take too long, I'd say about 15 minutes in total. Vibe: Not my favorite, but cozy. This is for-sure a pub, so it has a unique appeal of it's own. First time visiting a bar in the north end. There was only one server during peak business hours. Probably about 20 people here. Her name was maya or Mia (Name tags would help). She was super polite even with rude customers around her. Asked for her to change the tv to sports channel and she was very quick and easy about getting that done. She Had refills coming as soon as I'd finish. She was moving around quickly and efficiently. She kept a smile on her face the entire time. She seems to love her job and loves serving with a pep in her step. I felt if I was back at home in southern Alabama drinking a sweet tea on my porch feeling relaxed. Definitely would recommend checking out this small Irish pub in North End boise on bogus basin road. It's got a great atmosphere and customer service that can't be beat. This is a small hole in the wall kind of place with a few great menu items and good drinks. It's a little dark and the TVs need to be updated but really those are the only two things I would ant to see improved. They have two rooms, the main bar and on the other side a place for events, open mic nights and live music. What keeps me coming back though is the staff. They are always genuinely friendly and we never have to wait long for service. We are not in there very often but they always remember us and know our drink preference. Jill, one of the waitresses, always takes a moment to catch up with us and trade anecdotes, and Steve, the bartender, always remembers how I like my drinks and is always willing to change the station on at least one of the TVs if we come in wanting to watch a game. read more

She stated that the happy hour prices included $1.00 off of everything. When the bill came, it was discounted a total of $3. Only the 3 alcohol beverages were discounted. WHAT?!? How deceived a customer feels when the bill comes and it's $75 with a $3 discount. This, especially when the food, corned beef and cabbage ("their special"), came out disgustingly cold. Paddy melt was old burger, fries soggy all 4 meals, musty old house smell, and all accompaniments were bland. Just a really poor experience...regarding the food. This place is amazing. I love coming here after a fun day of playing in the snow. The food here is great, the beers always ice cold, but what keeps me coming back is the service. Classic neighborhood bar scene. I don't usually plan to come here, but somehow frequently accidently end up here anyway. It doesn't hurt that it is the closest bar to my house and within walking distance. They have a decent selection of beers on tap, enough that everyone in your group will usually find something they like. The food is meh, sometimes good and sometimes not so good. Typical bar food that tastes delicious especially when your BAC is north of .15. I think they would like to be considered serving more than typical bar food, but doesn't really get there. View the food as decent sustenance, nothing more, and it will meet expectations. The place is dark, with low ceilings, which gives it an intimate feel. They also jam a lot of tables in which also adds to the intimacy. On a Saturday night, this place is hopping with barely enough room to move, especially if they have a good band playing. I always enjoy the music, but that may be because I'm usually pretty toasty by the time I arrive late in the evening. The staff is friendly and the service is good, but they get a little harried and overworked when the place is busy ... to be expected I suppose. The crowd is the best. Literally anyone will fit in, from 20-something hipsters, jocks, and co-eds, to 60-year old retiree types, and everything in between. Seem to be mostly couples and small groups. There is not much of a singles scene here which is fine by me. People are here to have a good time with friends. I ski a lot a Bogus and regularly end my day at O'Michael's. I fit right in still in my ski-stuff, wind-burned and thirsty. Evenings after a nice sunny winter day will typically see half the bar filled with skiers just off the mountain. Decent beer & food, good service, good atmosphere, good live music, and overall a great vibe. A great little neighborhood bar that won't disappoint. read more

We go to this restaurant often because it's close to our house and there is always parking. In general it's a good pub except during the busy times. Then you will get inexperienced waitresses and poor service. After today I had to write something because it is not the first occurrence. The waitress was very nice but screwed up our order. I asked for a French Dip and not a Swiss Dip which has cheese. Her excuse was that most people don't want the French Dip (?) so? My recourse was to wait for the backed up kitchen to produce a new sandwich which I didn't want to do since I was very hungry. The kitchen also forgot to put bacon on my friends burger. The kitchen sent out two pieces of burnt (we asked for it soft) and cold bacon. Since we asked for salads as our side I requested a side of fries. We got a huge platter of them most of which we could not eat. I thought it was the cook being nice since we are regular customers until I got the bill. $5.50!..I asked the waitress why it was so expensive and she had placed an order for a large fries. That is not a side. Again no apologies. Sorry guys but I think we need to check out Hidden Hollow which is next door. read more
