    Jalapeno Perogi with maple sausage

Solid Oak Sausage Co. is a hidden gem you need to know about. We've already been there twice in four days, and for good reason. The meats are hands-down fresher than anything we've picked up on our Michigan up north summer trips -- and that's saying something. Prices? Surprisingly affordable. The store? Spotless, smells like smoked heaven, and there's always something rolling off the smoker, piping hot. Today I stopped in for pierogies (jalapeño popper ones -- phenomenal) and left with their maple sausage log. Heated it up at home and... wow. It's unreal. Do yourself a favor: skip the grocery store stop and get your sausages here before heading up north. Save yourself time, money, and disappointment. If you're anywhere nearby -- this place is a must-visit.

Every wonderful sausage, Halal, tastes great! Ali is great to chat with and has a lot of knowledge on the product.

Dellah Coffee & Brunch House is a not-so-hidden gem in Dearborn, MI, serving Yemeni-American food…read moreto the large Arab population in Dearborn as well as to tourists like my boyfriend and I. Dellah is located on a mixed residential and commercial street with plenty of parking nearby. We chose to eat lunch here in June 2026 since it wasn't too far from our hotel and we saw that they had outdoor seating - important since we had my little dog with us. The place was very busy but since we were eating outside, we had no wait and we were waited upon promptly. There are a LOT of American choices on here (like sugary pancakes) but a third of the menu consists of Yemeni food. I got a traditional Yemeni tea ($4.50) and my boyfriend sipped on a smooth matcha latte ($6.50). We had a big breakfast that morning, so we chose to just share the lahm sighar ($20), which comes with a piece of khuba bread, and also order an additional khuba bread ($2). About 15 minutes later, our food was ready and after taking the necessary pictures, we dug in! Needless to say, the extra bread was not necessary. I don't know what we were thinking but we assumed a piece of khuba was small. Nope! Each piece is the size of my 17-inch computer. Anyway, we used bits of the khuba as silverware to pick up the deliciously tender lahm sighar, something I saw others do when I went inside to use the bathroom and nosily looked around. I must mention that the BATHROOM HAS A BIDET. I REPEAT. BATHROOM HAS A BIDET!!!! Hehe :) seeing it just made me happy lol. So anyway, I saw that the coffee section of Dellah is set up inside like a traditional coffee shop where you can grab and go some coffee, tea, and pastries if you'd like. I did grab my bf, dog, and I some water from the coffee counter, which is self-service. We didn't leave a crumb behind and loved our food here. I would happily come back again! There is a 3% card surcharge fee so I paid the bill with cash, which came out to about 45 dollars after tax and tip. A little pricey, thanks to our expensive drinks, but so yummy!

I came here with our team. There was 10 of us in our party…read more Not sure whose idea among the Dellah staff thought it was a good idea to squeeze so many guys and me at two small tables by the door. This was an awful table to be at in here. We hardly had elbow room or table space, especially after the giant platter sized bread was out with all of the breakfast/ brunch items for half of the table. I ordered the Fazolia. Everyone else got omelets, burgers or wrap items. Yes, a couple of team members weren't keen on ordering Fasolia with scrambled eggs, large Greek salad, 2 lahm sighar (one with potato and one quit eggs), 2 smashed burger, Yemeni scrambled eggs, chicken fajita, Greek skillet, southwest skillet, chicken wrap, coffee, tea without milk, Turkish coffee, mint lemonade refresher. Every team member said their food was good. The scrambled eggs are a tad runny and looked a bit puréed. The fasolia has good flavor and even better with some heat. It came out piping hot. Without the added eggs, this dish would be woefully lacking in substance for me. I would likely still be left hungry with the beans alone, since I don't eat the bread, generally. I tried the bread to give it a go, it's good. The Greek salad is nicely plated or bowled rather. The ingredients are in separate piles and looks like a pinwheel. The red onions were crudely cut. The tomatoes looked wrinkled and not so appealing. The Greek salad was underwhelming for me. The tea doesn't taste good, definitely need some honey, sugar or the milk here, although I favor nothing in my tea.

This place is definitely worth a visit if you are ever in the Detroit area. First things first,…read morethey do not take reservations and they are always on a wait, that should tell you that they are good. We arrived in the middle of a snowstorm on a weekday. It was a Friday though around 11am and, predictably, they had a wait. We had to wait about 30 minutes for a table. It was totally worth the wait. Their ambiance is cute- the hallway is clean, they have bench seating and they put you on the list to get a text, so you could sit in the car if you really wanted to; we did not. They could use a foyer though. It was 22 degrees and snowing so every time the door opened we were instantly freezing. The menu is massive so if you're trying this for the first time and you're from out of town, honey bring as many friends as you can so that you guys can order everything!! Theeeee must have that I tried were the smoked wings. I have never had wings that were smoked and then fried baby they were crispy. They were seasoned to the bone and were delicious. I almost ate them all and had no room for anything else. We also did the berry pancakes which could feed 3-5 people alone; second of all, they're not overly sweet, which is why I did berries and not the peaches or anything like that; and, third of all, the pancakes are the size of your face, but they are fluffy and melt in your mouth! These were easily top two pancakes I've had in my life. We also tried the shrimp and grits, also a 10/10. A generous portion of shrimp, not overcooked and the sauce was bomb. They do put bacon on it if you're not a bacon eater pay attention. I tasted around it anyways but yes, we also tried a vegetarian omelette with home fries. This was just a 7/10 but probably because we only ever tasted it reheated because we were too full to touch it. It was 3 entrees and an appetizer and was definitely enough food to feed a family of seven. This is a must visit place, so if you are in the area and have never been: make time!!!! And take some friends. Each plate is a day's worth of calories!

Theirs are more like a fried croissant, which isn't bad at all. Theirs flavors added with the dipping sauce was great. Their breakfast portions are no complaint. They are most definitely shareable sizes. I ordered a southwest skillet (just some things out) and I loved it. The shrimp and grits were really good too. Service was nice and everyone in the restaurant worked as a team. It was also very clean in the inside. Prices were very reasonable as well. I will gladly give them my business again.

For example, I get the "Hearty" breakfast most of the time and it comes with eggs, meat, pancakes, potatoes and toast, and it really highlights what is this place's strength. Eggs: I get mine scrambled and have a nice selection of hot sauce to choose from. Meat: I appreciate that they offer turkey sausage since I don't eat beef or pork, but my wife loves their bacon if that's your thing. Pancakes: quality varies the most here as they are sometimes a little pale (but still good) but more often the idyllic golden one expects when ordering. Potatoes: lots of variety here, too, as my home fries come in different sized cuts with seasoning ranging from none to "no need for salt or pepper?" Toast: Again, wide variety of choices, I go with sourdough most often If this sounds like a lot of food, there are lots of other options that make it appealing to smaller appetites. But what I like about the "Hearty" is all the choices and the variation in style (probably depends on who's staffing the griddle) allows me to order the same meal and still feel like I'm getting some variety. Having said that, keep an eye out for the specials. They sometimes are tempting enough to get me to stray from usual. In addition to good food, the service is always friendly, and we've been back enough times to where I think every server recognizes us. Like I said, it's a favorite.

There were 2 tables that were a little louder than usual, but even when they left, it was still too noisy. Appears to be no sound deadening in the ceiling. This makes us reluctant to dine here again. When you can't hear the person sitting 2-3' away from you, at the same table, it is NOT a good thing.

The interior decor is nice, it obviously car themed hence the name. They have 2 bars and plenty of tables to accommodate large parties. I opted for a turkey burger with green beans to keep things healthy. I enjoyed both. The waitress mentioned the green beans are crunchy but that's the way I like them. I suppose if you like yours a bit more cooked, then ask to have them sautéed longer but I liked them how they were. I heard so many good things about this place so I was happy to finally stop by. Today's food is perfect. We had a burger bowl that was - to me - like a deconstructed burger; another person had the fish and chips that were good and served crisp and hot; and another had the meatloaf and it was served with brown gravy and two sides. Two points that knocked down the score bar service was tooooo slow. I was going to have a second beer and by the time waitress came to apologize about long delay and frustration with bar service, I told her to cancel it. Second, the waitress had to be reminded to bring drink refills after we asked for them. She apologized and got them right away. But, it added to our frustration of delays. No matter my two points, I do recommend this restaurant. Usually, service is better and the burgers are GREAT!
