We love stuffed cabbage, but some places make the worst. This is true of many Polish eateries so we are picky. Here at Solidarity, we have now found the best stuffed cabbage you will ever have. It is just great. All the food is great. We also had, HOMEMADE PIEROG which was so great. and we tried tried their BIGOS - Hunter's Stew, which is beef, kielbasa, mushrooms and cabbage stew. Their LAMB DUMPLINGS which is lamb filled pasta with spicy Dijon sauce. They have a cheesecake and a chocolate cake which is delightful. There is not one thing we did not love. The service is great. They will help you with the menu and make a suggestion if you want. They are fast, but you are not rushed. Make a reservation. It really is a must I think. The place itself is comfortable with nice art on the walls and comfortable seating. You will love it.

Met friends here for dinner on a Saturday. Our party of four enjoyed the cup of flaczki or tripe soup, pork schnitzel, sampler of eight pierogi, seasonal blueberry pierogi as dessert, mint herbal tea, and a basil smash mocktail. Some of us originally came from Poland. While many dishes were good, the menu felt more like an American Polish fusion. The schnitzel could have used more seasoning such as black pepper. Replace gnocchi by leniwe pierogi (lazy dumplings) that are similar and authentically Polish. It would be good to serve herbal tea sourced from Poland, for more authenticity. There is a Polish tradition of herbal teas, and many teas are grown commercially. For example, Poland grows mint and makes mint tea.

Love the atmosphere and family feeling here. Seating in the courtyard was comfortable and the lighting makes the atmosphere fun. The pierogies were absolutely delicious, as was the appetizer sampler. Kielbasa was grilled to perfection and our young companion gobbled up the schnitzel tenders. Portions are generous, even for haooy hour, so bring an appetite!

Great spot with cool vibes. The patio was spacious with another separate area meant for private or larger gatherings. This is a dog friendly place, which is awesome. The servers were awesome. They came with great recommendations that did not disappoint. I ordered the Polish Old Fashioned which had what tasted like a hint of cinnamon. It was very good. The various Pierogi consisted of cheese, beef, pork and chicken; all very tender and juicy. My Mushroom Gnocci was delightful and rich with flavor. The Sweet Cream Crepe had a light outer cake filled with delicious deliciousness.

We drove an hour to eat here. My wife is half Polish. It was well worth the drive. This restaurant is a hidden gem. It's quaint and relaxing. I love their decor, atmosphere, and ambiance. We sat on the patio, which was lovely. LJ was our server-- a nice guy. Service was very prompt; he was friendly and attentive. The other servers and staff were also friendly. Good people. The food was outstanding; we tried a little of everything. It was homemade and fresh, very filling. Check out my photos to see what we ate. The quality of the food was excellent--you get what you pay for. I highly recommend this restaurant. We had a great time-- very memorable.

This is cute little Polish place with the lighting cool vibe music playing. The food is so good. Start with the Solidarity salad. It has the prefect blend of sauerkraut, apples, and carrots. It has such an interesting taste between sour and sweet. The beef stroganoff was amazing and sever over spatzle, Wow. The service was awesome as well. We will be back!!!!

The food here is phenomenal! They have a really great happy hour as well, worth checking out for sure! Service was wonderful, I love the vibe of the restaurant, a converted home which still feels homie. Sitting in their backside patio is divine, the food was made to order within minute! Portions are generous, and the flavors were spot on! One dish more delightful from the next, I suggest ordering several dishes and sharing! Highly recommended if you're looking for a new and unique flavors, authentic Polish food!

If you're looking for authentic Polish food, this place truly delivers. The cabbage rolls tasted just like the lunches served in kindergarten in Poland 40 years ago so comforting, traditional, and full of nostalgia. You can really tell they cook with authentic flavors and recipes. The awesome Polish music playing in the background created such a warm and harmonious atmosphere that made the whole experience even more special. Highly recommend for anyone wanting a real Polish taste experience!

Incredibly Gorgeous, Authentic and Delicious Polish restaurant serving some of the most delicious Eastern European delicacies in LA! This includes yummy pierogis, schnitzel, beef stroganoff, potato pancakes and much, much more. My personal favorites are the uniquely fabulous Pickle soup and Cucumber salad, which I have only had at this spot. I love the remarkably fabulous and friendly staff who are always so nice, friendly and attentive. The ginormous, outdoor patio is incredible to chill with friends, host events and I absolutely love their Thursday evening 'Yappy Hours' , which is for humans and their Doggie friends too! They even have a Doggie Menu, which makes every dogs' tails wag in happiness and thrill! Thanks to this amazing, family run business for serving the Santa Monica community for so many decades.

This restaurant has a really nice back garden. I came here for happy hour and it was a good deal and a nice ambiance. The food was sadly just okay. Pierogi flight/sampler: 8/10 The pierogis came out cold. Overall the flavors were good and it was a good happy hour price. Steak: 9/10 Chicken: 6/10 Mushroom: 8.5/10 Goat cheese: 8/10

    Perogie cheese and potatoe
    Hannah M.

I have been to Solidarity many times and am always happy with the food. I love pierogies and love getting the sampler platter to share as an appetizer, especially the potatoe and cheese pierogie. The outside patio is always decorated super cute and the menu often updates especially with seasonal cocktails. On my last visit I had a warm spiked cider with a cinnamon stick that was absolutely delicious. However my favorite thing on the menu is a newer item, their pickle soup! It is creamy with a hint of dill and chunks of potato and very small slivers of picked veggies. For the pickle lover in your life you use have them try this soup. I also want to give an honorable mention to their stroganoff with spaetzle. The meat and sauce have such great flavor and the spaetzle is done really well. The food and drinks always come out quickly as well and the wait staff is very friendly. Overall I highly recommend this restaurant.

    Small Plate Taster

My fiancé and I had a wonderful dinner at Solidarity last night. The Small Plate Starter is a great way to get a taste of different polish foods to try out. The main courses were both flavorful and filling. And despite how extremely full I felt from the main course foods, we got dessert that was also delicious. I'm not a big chocolate person, but when I saw it on the menu, I thought the vanilla sauce would offset the chocolate well. When I tasted the cake I was pleasantly surprised by how moist it was. The restaurant was quite busy. We ended up being at the restaurant for 2 hours, but we honestly didn't mind. Our server was obviously working very hard and was apologetic for the delay, but the break between meals allowed for food to settle before the next round of food came around. And everything tasting delicious also makes the wait time worth having when the food comes out amazing. I would recommend this place to others and I'd be interesting in trying some of the dumpling options.

It's located in the old Clock Tower building, and the Art Deco decor is absolutely stunning--dark enough to hide a bad day but vibrant enough for a girls' night. The Vibe: It's loud, lively, and perfectly "bohemian chic". If you're coming on a weekend, prepare for a crowd, but it's the good kind of crowded where everyone looks like they just came from a gallery opening. The Food: I'm still thinking about the Crispy Chicken Sandwich--it was juicy, perfectly seasoned, and came with a fennel-apple slaw that actually felt fresh. We also shared the Bacon Wrapped Dates (obviously) and the Hand Cut Kennebec Fries, which arrive in a bowl so huge it could basically be its own zip code. The Drinks: Their Happy Hour is arguably the best in the city. I had the Japanese Dream with matcha, and it was expertly crafted--not too sweet, which is my biggest pet peeve. The "Misfit" Moment: The service can be a tiny bit slow when it's "rammed," and there's a 4% kitchen fee that feels a bit unnecessary, but they make up for it with those complimentary sea salt chocolate chip cookies at the end. They are warm, gooey, and life-changing. One major heads-up: I heard a rumor they might be closing their doors on April 18th due to some landlord drama, so get there while you still can.

Nothing in the signature cocktail looks interesting to me, so I had the bartender make a classic cocktail instead. He's very attentive and friendly, didn't take forever to get a drink either, no attitude. Drinks aren't watered down either. Nice!
