    Pumpkin Pie

For it being u first timing dining out for Thanksgiving I was worried that the nostalgic feeling of a family gathering would be missing but I was definitely wrong. Everyone in the restaurant was having a great time and you could feel all the love and energy in the air. Started with some sourdough and truffle butter and some mezcal cocktails. Both were amazing. Dinner consisted of a 3 course menu and between our party, we were able to cover all items offered. The appetizers were a choice of scallops, crab cake, or butternut squash ravioli. All 3 were so delicious that we wish we don't want to share haha. The main courses were turkey, osso-bucco, or aJohn Dory fish plate. Again, all 3 were so delectable but the turkey and osso bucco were stars because they came with heaping sides. We paired our dinner with a couple bottles of Pinot noir from France. Dessert had a pumpkin pie, French applie pie, or a dark chocolate ganache tart. The pumpkin pie was probably the best I've had. The apple pie was also very good. The ganache tart was decent but very strong chocolate and orange flavors which I wasn't quite ready for. Service was excellent from all staff members and the decor gave you this feeling like you were at home. I will definitely be coming back to have a regular dinner because everything was on point.

Love the decor inside and realized the breakfast section is now all combined with the dinner room so there's just one entrance. The outdoors light greet you in and the floral draperies make the space more open. Food was served quickly and the waiter made sure we got our orders. Though I find the food a bit salty and missing some element of the ingredients especially the mushroom pasta. Presentation was alright and wish it could be plated better. Toffee pudding is great served hot with the ice cream Overall it was good for a dinner with friends.

Good food, decent service, and a sophisticated type of ambiance. It was my first time at Lunetta after a long time of it being on my list of places to try. I liked it, but didn't love it personally, it's worth checking out yourself though. 5/5 - Sticky Toffee Pudding: so good! I always like getting a good dessert at the end of the menu and this was definitely my favorite thing here. 4/5 - Sourdough and Olive Breads: warm, fluffy, and pretty delicious. 3.5/5 - Chocolate Fudge Cake: very chocolate forward (which is good), but didn't taste all that amazing, especially compared to the Sticky Toffee Pudding. 3.5/5 - Mushroom Fettuccine: simple and light sauce, not a ton of flavor, the mushrooms were delicious though. 4/5 - Various drinks: decent drinks, most people seemed to like what they ordered. Food: 4/5 Drinks: 4/5 Service: 4/5 (a little on the slower side, but generally good) Ambiance: 4/5 Value: 3/5 Overall: 4/5

One of my husband's and my favorite fine dining spots! Food: beyond 5/5! Every dish we've gotten has really impressed and amazed us with its complexity and flavor. Service: extremely professional yet friendly and relaxed. Ambiance: romantic, dimly lit, and not too crowded or hectic. Goes without saying that it feels very clean and classy.

    Sake tasting menu

Once in a blue moon I try out a Michelin spot, and I was lucky enough to be able to check out the Michelin guide approved Lunetta, which is headed by Chef Raphael Lunetta. Honestly, I was impressed by how affordable it was compared to many other Michelin spots, and I definitely recommend checking out this little gem if you're in the Santa Monica area. We decided to go with their limited time seafood x sake pairing menu, and every New American inspired dish was impressively well-executed, with thoughtful flavors and locally sourced ingredients that complimented the primary protein of the dish and surprisingly paired beautifully with their two sake choices. I wasn't the biggest fan of their dessert choice for the tasting menu, which was a chocolate flan with a berry compote and one of the hardest (and most indigestible) pieces of caramelized sugar on top. I also thought plate pacing could've been better, as there were times where we were definitely waiting over 15 minutes for our next dish to come out. Risotto Milanese

I got an email about weekend specials, Risotto Milanese and Beet and Goat Cheese starter. OK, they hooked me, and I am so glad they did. The dinner was a delight. The beet and goat cheese was the perfect starter, along with the delish Skål cocktail. The risotto was a real mind blower. Besides the generous king crab serving, the seafood in the risotto was perfectly cooked. So tender and delicious. I don't know how they did it. Every visit is a culinary adventure with a nutritious and happy ending. The place feels like you are visiting someone's home. A sure bet in Santa Monica. A week later and I am here again! A special event, the Vino, Cena, Amigos Spanish menu with wine pairings. I'm not too familiar with Spanish wines so this was a great way to explore some with wonderfully paired food. I really liked that the portions and number of courses were something you could reasonably enjoy without over doing it. A fantastic value and a surprise ending to my Friday.

Great version of a dirty shirley, definitely enjoyed!! A DJ was in house and playing some great mixes, plus the room is intimate but also very dimly lit, so it really adds to the overall ambiance. Great drinks, tasty food, and a definite solid recommendation from me when planning on dining and/or drinking in Santa Monica.

One thing about this place is that it has tons of space for seating! Each seating area has different decor and I absolutely enjoyed sitting in the dining room + bar area. Such a beautiful and intimate setting. For appetizers we ordered the bread and also their delicious fries, both were perfect to share! My main course, I decided to order the salmon, which was part with amazing flavors. I have never had salmon like I did that night. I tried a piece of my friends chicken plate and it was so flavorful+ tender. This is now, officially one of my favorite restaurants in the Santa Monica area.

Amazing Vegan ice cream on top of a wonderful cake

We had an amazing dinner, the Pappardelle Bolognese was amazing as well as their amazing bread. We sat in the bar by the fireplace and it was wonderful. Congratulations to Chef Lunetta and his team for having such a wonderful restaurant to dine in.

Came here for a friends birthday and was genuinely so impressed with everything I ate here. I highly recommend the gnocchi it was so incredible I never knew Gnocchi could be like this. Soft clouds that melt in your mouth and take you to heaven. The Maui onion rings were to die for I was a little disappointed that I had to share them with everyone else at the table! I could eat 20 orders of those crispy onion rings all by myself lol 10 out of 10 experience!

Unfortunately, the food and service fell short of my expectations. The restaurant is on the pricier side, but given its desirable location and atmosphere, the pricing feels somewhat justified. Also, the restaurant business is tough to manage, especially with recent increases in rent, insurance, and supply costs. That said, based on my experience, the food is overrated compared with the praise it receives in many reviews. The Cloverfield Cheeseburger - 2/5. The menu suggests the burger is made with high-quality beef, and that may well be true. However, the patty itself tasted bland and lacked the richness and fat content needed to make it memorable. It also lacked a well-developed crust, which left the overall flavor underwhelming. The bun deteriorated after only a few bites and lacked the chewiness and structure of a good burger bun. The produce was equally disappointing. The tomatoes were pale pink, seemingly underripe, and lacked the deep, juicy sweetness that can elevate a burger. The lettuce was pale and lacked both the crisp texture and fresh flavor needed to complement the other ingredients. Overall, this burger was a letdown. The Scramble - 2/5. This breakfast plate comes with scrambled eggs, pan-fried potatoes, and toast. The potatoes tasted as though they had been sitting on the side of the griddle for some time - dry, overcooked, and lacking freshness. The scrambled eggs were similarly disappointing. They lacked the velvety texture and rich flavor that distinguish well-executed scrambled eggs from average ones. The dish was serviceable but far from memorable. Cloverfield Chili - 2.5/5. The description is promising, highlighting ingredients such as grass-fed beef and lime crema. In practice, however, the chili was merely okay. The flavor profile felt somewhat bland and one-dimensional, while the ground beef lacked the moisture and richness that make a hearty chili satisfying. More disappointing was the serving temperature - the chili arrived only slightly warm. A dish like this should be served piping hot to deliver the comforting, hearty experience diners expect. The Cloverfield excels in location and atmosphere, and I would happily return for drinks or to catch up with friends. However, the food did not live up to the expectations set by its reputation or pricing. While the setting is enjoyable, the overall dining experience left me underwhelmed.
