Had this guy come out and do measurements and an estimate. He did not call back and when my spouse called him, he said he was selling his business. Indeed, our back yard poses some challenges but how about being up-front about it? You lie you are selling your business? At first I thought that five stars was a bit much. Everyone seemed to rave about Will and his team but five stars isn't enough I would give him a ten star rating and in fact I will. When I emailed Will responded back quickly. He have us an estimate within 24 hours and followed up with us . Will and his people did all of the work that needed to be done within 5 days. He worked with us and told us what was happening every step of the way from the steps he installed to the plants and then drainage on the side of the house that wasn't working properly (the other landscaper made promises and never even attempted to fix them) Will 's prices were reasonable. He didn't ask us what our budget was he gave us prices line item by line item. If we wanted to cross something off to make it work within our budget we could do that. I recommend Solinsky Gardens to everyone that comments about our landscape project. They are great. My only regret is that I wish I had called them before I hired someone else to do the backyard. read more

I found them through Yelp and decided to go with them due to the reviews, and they didn't disappoint. Will is a nice and accomodating guy, and came over to assess my project almost immediately after contacting him. The crew that came out to work was friendly, helpful, and efficient; they wrapped my job up neatly and effectively in pouring rain, and they even did a little bit extra to make the whole yard look great once they were finished with the main stuff. The price was reasonable, and exactly as estimated. They did exactly what I asked, and offered suggestions for improvement when I indicated I was open to it; their suggested additions were affordable, and really did make a difference. If I could give out more Yelp stars I would. I've had 3 houses including a complete Victorian remodel so I've dealt with lots of contractors. Solinsky Gardens is in my top 5. These guys are everything you look for in a contractor. They get back to you promptly, explain the process, charge a fair price and do outstanding work. Our yards are already landscaped but we needed our main backyard drain line replaced. The original corrugated drain pipe collapsed after 10 years so we hired them to replace it. They took great care to preserve the lawn they had to cut through and put everything back. They even power-washed the walkways and cut in some extra riser pipes so we could monitor the function of the new line and access it in the future if it gets blocked. You owe it to yourself to get a bid from Solinsky if you're considering any lawn/garden work. read more

Will & his team redid the landscaping in front of our house, and we're really happy with both the process & the results. We had several challenging aspects to our project -- a peculiar grade at the end of our yard, an antique irrigation system, and a really limited budget. Will knew where to invest (a couple of semi-mature trees to give nice results the first year) and where to proceed with caution (very old galvanized pipe). He also took the time to make sure details were correct -- when he couldn't find plants that would work for our space at his usual nurseries, he gladly made trips to additional nurseries, texting us pictures of each plant until we found ones we liked. The edging of the plant beds was particularly important to us so the design would be low-maintenance, and he made a few extra trips to our house to ensure it was just right. His team is great too. Everyone was very professional, polite, and seemed to really know what they were doing. read more

We recently had Will and his crew re-do our entire yard including drainage and add a concrete sidewalk. I cannot be happier with the results. Will had great ideas on what to do to make the yard look less cluttered and was both practical and economical in his suggestions. His bid for the work was not the lowest, but it included items that I did not even request - and they were great ideas! Also, Will and his crew were polite and cleaned everything up - they were done in less than a week and no mess was left. Will and his team transformed our blah front yard into a colorful and unique landscape. Although we had some idea of the plants we liked, WIll took us to the nursery where he suggested and showed us plants and combinations that we would have never imagined. I called Solinsky Gardens to have them install English Cherry Laurels in our brand new back yard for we were moving in a couple weeks. Will came to our house a couple weeks ago and was very helpful and came to our back yard and an $2,300 for 16 trees but Will said these are 9 feet and mature and even sent a picture and the other ones I were looking at were 4 feet so it was nice to have an ready mature tree to be planted to start giving us privacy so I said go ahead. Morning of our move I received a call from my wife asking me what size they were supposed to be, I said 9 feet and she said these were 6 feet. Not only;y were they 6 feet tall they were only full for 2-3 feet mature, they looked like popsicles, their was just a tree stump then the tree grew starting at 3 feet up to 6 feet. This was NOT what I ordered and paid $2,300 for! I called Will and asked him why the trees did not match the picture we were shown, he said something about a shortage and these came from SO Cal and this was the best he could get. I told him this was unacceptable and wanted a reduction in price, he said he couldn't do that and it was best for them to just pull the job completely instead of coming back. I will not be recommending Soliksky Gardens to anyone. read more

Fantastic! We bought a house that had not been occupied in over a year and the backyard had not been tended to in any way in all of that time. In 2 days, they turned my abandoned field of a backyard into something nice. We had them clear it out, level/grade, add sprinklers, drip system, drains, sod, bender board and bark. It looks great and everyone there was very nice to work with. Will gave us an itemized estimate and we got a very reasonable price. They finished on budget. With the 5 star reviews they have I expect them to be busy but, I've literally tried to speak to someone or something other than the voicemail for more than 3 months. I hired Will and his team to put down some weed barrier & bark chips, plant some hedges, trim two trees and fix a sprinkler issue. Will's team worked fast and completed their job in one day. I would highly recommend Will Solinsky and his crew. He came to my house to complete a landscaping project that my former landscaper didnt finish up due to illness. He provided an estimate and told me when they could come to do the work. Each time I emailed him with even the slightest change in the plan, he immediately responded with a revised invoice. He and his crew arrived exactly on the day promised and did a great job of planting and mulching in my yard. His crew was so responsive to all last minute changes I wanted to make while they were there. They even offered to move plants that had already been installed when I changed my mind and then they even went back to the nursery to get additional items for me. They worked and worked until they had everything finished up. After the installation was complete, Will came back to do a walk through and when I asked yet again for some additional items, he came back the very next day to finish things up. I couldnt be happier with how things turned out. But most of all, I am so impressed with how responsive Will was to what I wanted and how willing he was to modify his plan on the fly to obtain just the look I wanted.
