I hired Solir Electric to wire and install switches for two ceiling fans. Their prices are reasonable. If I was rating solely on quality of work, I would give 5 stars. However, their communication not only with customers, but with their technicians could be improved. I would say they are responsive. During consultation, Viktor said they would install fans at no additional cost if I had them assembled. I got a good feeling from Viktor and felt their prices were reasonable. They were scheduled to come out Thursday morning to do the work. However, once they missed their expected arrival time, I reached out through Yelp to get ETA. They informed me that they had been attempting to reach me and would need to reschedule. I will take accountability for this miscommunication as I accidentally provided incorrect phone number. I spent about an hour and half to get both fans assembled to the point all that had to be done was install mount, hang fan, wire and install blades. The work I performed to get fans ready consisted of installing blade brackets, wiring and installing light fixtures, down rods, and cutting wires to length, stripping and add wire connectors. Per instructions, blades are to be installed after motor is hung and wired. When technicians were here, it seemed like they weren't aware that they were to install fans too. Informed them after they completed the switches that Viktor told they would. A woman called me to attempt to get the technicians out of the work by saying the fans weren't assembled because blades weren't on. I informed per the manufacturers instructions they were ready to be mounted and wired and that blades are to be installed after. We came to a compromise. Technicians will mount and wire and I'll install blades after. I do think about 30-60 minutes of the technicians' time could have been saved if there was better communication. As a supervising engineer, I hold people accountable and to same standards I hold myself. I do appreciate their willingness to come out next day from initial appointment in the late afternoon to do the work. That isn't an ideal time for attic work. Overall, the experience was good, but could have been better. Using plastic to cover floors and furniture was a nice touch. Shoe covers without asking were greatly appreciated too. I would consider Solir Electric for future electrical work I might have like adding two exterior outlets for permanent decorative lights and installing them. However, I'm not sure they would want me as a costumer. Probably would up bid. A typical tactic by contractors for customers they don't like working with or jobs they really don't want to do, but will if customer is willing to pay. Anyways, I would recommend Solir Electric as quality of work and cleanliness met expectations. There are just some areas that can be improved. read more

Completely satisfied with Solir Electric from the initial estimate to job completion. I had to order 2 new ceiling fans due to the ones I intended to use would not work. We had a blown GFI outlet on a strange circuit with power outlets and overhead lighting on four way switches which never worked properly. They provided a quick quote and a 2 hour time slot in the afternoon. The electrician arrived, was professional, observed the problem, and got right to work.
