I learned that Dennis was the jeweler of my former manager's mother & family for 20+ years and I figured if he's good enough for my boss's mom, he's good enough for me. Upon meeting him in his showroom, I think his first words to me were something like, "Have a seat and let's get to know each other," which caught me by surprise. He was not the typical jewelry salesman I met over and over again. Dennis had prepared a spread of diamonds for us to examine based on pretty specific criteria I shared with him beforehand. They were all beautiful but none really seemed to call my name. He must have picked up on something during this time so he called one of his suppliers and passed on my feedback. Within 10-15 minutes, one of the assistants delivered another stone and after some more examining, I knew I found the one (I probably saw a total of 20+ diamonds with other jewelers). After shaking hands (and to my surprise again), Dennis invited me to stay and a short while later introduced me to both the ring maker and stone setter. All in all, it was definitely a custom and personal experience. TL/DR - will return for wedding bands and would encourage others to check him out!
