We walked in and I was immediately impressed by how vast and spotless the place was. This is one enormous place. There's a ton of seating in the main area, and if that's not enough, there's a whole other seating area around the corner. Everything looked really tasty but we decided to try a couple of savory pastries, both of which were delicious and fresh. For my drink, I went with the Vanilla Sweet Cream Cold Brew ("Cold brew coffee with vanilla and topped with sweet cream"), which certainly quenched my thirst and need for a pick-me-up. I want to single out the staff, too. Everybody was super friendly and helpful, and the manager even stopped by our table and offered our daughter a complimentary bear-shaped madeleine. Paris Baguette is a very welcome addition to the neighborhood. We'll definitely be returning.

They have deli sandwiches in their fridge and the Harvest Chicken sandwich was delicious. The Mochi donuts are a good atyempt and mimicing their asian counterparts but was way too greasy. The traditional sugared twist was better. They also have full barista services and lots of seating. Great place to pick up something for a dinner party as they have lovely boxes and present well. Staff was very friendly. Prices are steeper than other local bakeries so keep this in mind.

From the very high-quality ingredients, to the good consistency of making each baklava piece, as well as the great freshness of the products, all areas are simply top-notch in the business! Aside from the artisanal baklava, they also have cookies, chocolate, cakes, and macaroons. Simply irresistible. LOL. Take a look at my photos, you will get the idea instantly. At the end of the day, these are all sweet treats that you cannot eat too much at a time. So, it will be such a nice feeling to bring the baklava back and share them with friends, families, and loved ones. Such a beautiful baklava place. An absolutely delightful experience. No wonder they call themselves Baklawa King!

First time trying Arabic sweets!!…read more The lady that was working here was so nice. She also makes all the sweets. Mind blowing since they have like 100s! I has the best Turkish coffee ever thanks to her. She left customers to go make this for me. Super sweet. But let's talk sweets. Like so many. Baklava, kunafa! Other things I can't pronounce. They are sell by weights so it can get pricey. I literally had sweets for lunch. So much sugar. Tried 3 different kinds of Kunafa. Cheese one was my favorite. Turkish coffee definitely helps with all the sugar. She made it so well too. What's not to like.

My family was delighted with the variety plate I brought home. I will be back. One suggestion is to open a little earlier so I could get my coffee here and a plate to share at work.

I truly hate writing bad reviews, especially about a place I genuinely used to love…read more The place is still beautiful, elegant, and the service is still amazing. The staff were kind and welcoming as always, so this review has absolutely nothing to do with them. But... and this is a BIG but... what happened to the pastries? I honestly don't know if there's new ownership, a new pastry chef, or someone decided to "improve" the recipes. Whatever changed... please change it back. The mahalabia had nothing to do with mahalabia. The Arabic ice cream was actually good, so credit where credit is due. The halawet el jibn was unbelievably sweet, but unfortunately sweetness alone doesn't make a great dessert. And the kunafa... it just wasn't the kunafa I remembered. What makes me the saddest isn't even the desserts. It's the memories. This used to be our family's go-to place. Birthdays, family gatherings, random dessert cravings... this was our spot. It was always full of people, laughter, and amazing desserts. Walking in now and seeing it almost empty honestly made me sad because I know how good this place used to be. I really hope this review reaches the owner in the spirit it's intended. I'm not trying to put the business down I actually want to see it succeed again. I would love nothing more than to come back one day, take my first bite, and say, "Yep... they're back!" Until then, I'll just be holding on to the sweet memories... because, sadly, they were sweeter than the desserts this time.

Very solid 4* rating!…read more Not sure why it took me a decade to check this place out, after a recommendation from an older European lady had recommended this place to me. It's definitely a "hidden" gem, tucked around the corner from Kipling Stn, in a really industrial area. Think a bunch of auto body and other older looking, unkempt buildings with cars parked out in front. There's parking in front of the bakery café and you hafta climb up a flight of stairs to go in. Not really accessible for older or customers with disabilities. When I arrived, the chairs were already on top of the tables. And after checking the hours of operation, they're only opened 'til 5pm, including Saturdays. They sell whole and cakes, pastries, but the slice/piece. Prices aren't posted, but it was just under $10 for 2 pieces that I got. When I arrived, near closing, they had B1G1 free on their tiramisu, so I saw that as a sign. They were delicious and still tasted free, not too sweet! (I took a pic of their price list and it seems very reasonable!) Judging on what they offer and what I've read, they have Austrian/German roots. Lady who helped me could've been friendlier/enthusiastic, but again, it was the end of the day. So I'm not going to hold that against her. I'd definitely check it out again...but it would hafta be during the day/Saturday!

What a lovely little cafe, unexpectedly in the middle of an industrial part of Toronto!…read more I dropped in for an espresso and a treat while I was getting my car serviced. It was 3:30 pm, so the cafe was empty. The selection is beautiful and they make everything fresh. I chatted with one of the owners (maybe?) and she talked about some of their specialties and special orders. She served me at a table even though I was only getting a small snack. I'll definitely come by again, and next year I'm ordering one of those German fruit cakes. :)
