I am writing to express my disappointment regarding our recent stay and the declining condition of your properties over the past several years. My family and I have been loyal customers of Villatel Solterra for the last four years. During that time, we have rented at least two to three 12-bedroom homes and have consistently chosen Villatel for our family vacations. Our first stay in 2023 was generally a positive experience. The primary issue we encountered was the lack of hot water in the kitchen and showers, along with a few minor maintenance concerns that were promptly addressed. In 2024, we began noticing a decline in the property's cleanliness. The furniture and rugs appeared dirty, and we again experienced issues with hot water in both the kitchen and bathrooms. We also needed to contact maintenance several times for minor repairs. Unfortunately, the situation continued to worsen in 2025. The furniture and rugs remained visibly dirty, the floors appeared as though they had not been properly mopped, and the hot water issues persisted. Maintenance visits became a regular occurrence throughout our stay. Our most recent stay, from June 6 through June 12, 2026, was by far the most concerning. We stayed at House 1697 on Oak Blossom, and what occurred during this visit was completely unacceptable. Shortly after our arrival, my 33-year-old daughter, who has no known health conditions, woke up struggling to breathe and feeling extremely ill. Out of concern, we took her to the nearest hospital for evaluation. After blood work and testing, she was discharged, but over the following days she continued to complain of bite marks on her neck and episodes of chest tightness. As her condition continued to worry us, my granddaughter and I slept in the same bed with her for comfort and support. During the night, my granddaughter repeatedly complained that she felt bugs crawling on her, although we could not initially see anything. The following morning, we discovered bed bugs in the room. We later learned that the adjacent room was also affected, and several members of our group had developed unexplained bite marks. We immediately contacted Villatel, and a representative was sent to the property. He reviewed photographs of both the bed bugs and the bite marks. After years of loyalty and repeated concerns regarding cleanliness, maintenance, and ongoing hot water issues, discovering a bed bug infestation was the final straw. This experience not only disrupted our vacation but also raised serious concerns about the health, safety, and condition of the property. I hope Villatel takes this matter seriously and conducts a thorough inspection and remediation of the affected property to prevent other families from experiencing the same ordeal. Regrettably, after this experience, my family and I will no longer be staying at Villatel Solterra properties.

Solterra Resort was such a great resort from start to finish the bar tenders were great and kind, so was Velma she checked us in fast, and informed us with such enthusiasm. Everyone was so helpful and welcoming. The amenities are well kept and great for the family. You can bring up to 12 guests which and they usually do something to keep the kids entertained daily.

We rented a 7 bedroom, 5 1/2 bath house with a pool, jacuzzi, media room and a spacious kitchen. The address was 5200 Soltera Blvd. The two level house had two parking spaces. We were allowed up to five cars in the overflow parking, approximately three blocks away. The house was decent. The pools are all screened in, which helps keep out bugs. The jacuzzi wasn't heated and our family didn't want to pay $250 to have it heated. The WiFi was appreciated. The garage was converted into a game room. There was a pool table and shuffle board. There was a projection screen that didn't hook up to any streaming services. We didn't use the theater since the screen didn't work and there weren't any instructions. There was a Star Wars game but it didn't work either. The room was mostly a waste, except for posting cool photos on instagram. Each bathroom had toiletries one wash cloth, and one roll of toilet paper. The rental was listed as "self catered," which means the renter will supply personal items (dish & laundry soap, extra toilet paper, etc). The bedrooms were nicely decorated. The bed was comfy. There weren't convenient outlet plugs by the nightstand to charge phones or devices. Having hooks or another towel bar in the bathrooms would have helped. Night lights on each floor would be useful. Trash was removed daily at 6am. There was a large trash container in front of the house. The clubhouse is available to guests for $35 (for up to 12 people, if your group is larger, the price is higher). The staff aren't organized about details. Your group is given one member card. When you arrive at the pool house, each guest receives a wristband. Your group doesn't have to arrive together. This would have been great to know but the rental company and the clubhouse don't seem to be on the same page. As long as you have a photo of the member card, you can enter the pool during your reserved days. You will get a new wristband each day. That way all of your guests can come and go as they please. The pool area reaches capacity but no one seems to know what that is. We didn't have lines during our visits. The lazy river was fun. The pool was nice. I didn't use the jacuzzi since it was 90 degrees outside. The house had a full laundry room. That made drying beach towels convenient. The kitchen was fully stocked with utensils, coffee pot, dishes and silverware. We were given two packets of laundry detergent. If you are staying for several days, you should bring your own laundry detergent. Bring paper towels, dish soap and dish washer pellets. Check in is at 4pm. After everyone arranged their flights, we learned we could have made arrangements for an earlier check in. Lack of communication is an issue with the independent rental company and guests. There is a bit of a disconnect with getting questions answered. I would get all relevant details sorted out before making a deposit. This will take more than one phone call. Check out is at 10am. Guests are expected to strip each bed. Trash is picked up daily from a box in front of the house. Bring your own trash bags. The pool at the house was nice. We didn't heat the jacuzzi since it was $250 extra and only available with a minimum five day rental. We mostly socialized in the living room/dining room area. We had enough space for 12 family members. The dining area accommodated all of us. We cooked many meals. We also dined at restaurants. Publix grocery store is a few miles from the resort. The kitchen had an older refrigerator that was missing shelves on the door. Only one shelf hadn't fallen off. The produce drawer didn't fit the space. We made due with what we had. The pantry was giant and accommodated lots of items. Whoever is cleaning the house needs to stay on top of their "to do" list. I would make sure that I was fully informed on all the rental details and condition of the refrigerator. The refrigerator should be in top notch condition. Most bedrooms had a bathroom or shared a bathroom. There is so much expected from the renter (deposit and extra charges on heating the pool or jacuzzi). The rental company needs to improve communication. We had a lovely stay. The tables were big enough in the kitchen and patio for our group of twelve. The pool house was a nice paid perk but wasn't necessary since we had a nice pool at the house. Publix and other restaurants and stores were nearby. There is also a BJ's warehouse a few miles away.

Here for a Disney vacation. I was so proud to have found a place near the activities we wanted as a family for 7 nights. Check in was a hiccup... Tried my code they had sent me via email and it didn't work. Called consecutively for 15 mins to try the rental company (Casiola) as it was hot/not working and got an answering service to relay my message. Allegedly my check in was minutes/seconds too early and the lock had a special punch in instructions of really slowly entering the code. The layout of the house was fantastic also.... The A/C worked!!. The set-up looked awesome. The cleanliness however for the cost we paid... Kinda lacking in my opinion.. I know you can't be super picky...but again traveling with little ones and they pick up trash from under the beds/couches inquiring what is this... It kind of makes you think maybe some cleaning is just getting lightly done. If check in can't be til 405pm to get it fully clean just let a guy know. The set-up of the house was fantastic... The cleanliness not so fantastic. Fruit flies everywhere.... Night 1 was spent killing fruit flies... The washer had a squeaky sound as it went through cycles.... Sad deal. Air return vent had some heavy dust as well. Pool was nice. So the above mentioned stuff in combination with multiple nightly calls to the Polk County sheriff department for noise in the 2-3 doors surrounding areas was the dagger. We had parties/music blaring nightly from the neighbors into the 1 am hour. From 10pm - midnight Kids screaming during night swims had my kids (trying to sleep)wondering what is going on. Not a good thing every night when trying to get my kids to bed. If you have kids and have been there you definitely understand!!! It took my monies spent on this vacation home to teach me a VALUABLE lesson. The pamphlet we were given at check-in even STATES this is a quiet community and fines for having noise complaints on renters...yeah right. I don't believe that whatsoever. I called 3 times a night on average. (Sorry Polk County sheriff department) When spending $2k on a week rental you have expectations... These clearly were not met. I definitely will NOT be staying at this resort on our next visit. I know others in the area probably have similar setups and would greatly appreciate our business. The location was super close to food and shopping/activities I booked my reservation through Marriott ... I will definitely share the disappointment with them....as you would think someone would alert them of the situation at hand. Cleaning needed to be done under furniture and in the bathroom... things I would think would have been done before I checked in... Not so much. Matters when traveling with a young one. For sure next time we will stay elsewhere. Don't know that the money spent was worth it at this location. https://g.co/kgs/LwWPu5  https://g.co/kgs/fhSc5s  https://g.co/kgs/CnpHhr  https://g.co/kgs/NJNdk4  https://g.co/kgs/myPSrT What would you do in my situation!? The resort was easy to navigate, and there were no shortages of dining options. The room was gorgeous and had some thoughtful touches that I appreciated, including pillow spray, a clothes steamer, and even a weighted blanket. It's the little things that make a work trip feel a bit more like a vacation. My biggest complaint? The gym was about the size of my thumbnail. Thankfully, it still managed to squeeze in everything I needed for a solid workout, so I can't complain too much. The conference food was good, though nothing particularly memorable. The late-night food offerings, however, were a welcome surprise and definitely earned bonus points. This is a fantastic property for hosting large corporate meetings and events. The staff was friendly and accommodating throughout our stay. They did have to move some activities indoors due to weather, but everything seemed to be handled smoothly. Overall, a great resort that balances business and leisure well.

Check-in/out was very easy, my room was clean, nice and spacious, with a beautiful view. The bar and pool area is huge and so much fun! We all had a blast and really enjoyed each others company down at the pool bar. If I had one thing to note I wished were better, most of the nights there was only 1 bartender at the pool bar, and with our large conference and also probably other guests out there, it was hard to get service. But that guy was working amazingly so it wasn't him, he just couldn't be in multiple places at once! Was pleasantly surprised at how much of a hit the lay river was with us, but we had a blast! Lastly, the party that was put together by the staff was 10/10! Really do appreciate all the hardwork and how much fun we had! Wish I'd thought to take pictures, but I guess I was too busy enjoying myself!

We used to come to Reunion to sit at the bar, and in the lobby or the outside balcony and work. But this was our first time actually staying here. We had a spacious two bedroom, two bath condo on the sixth floor. Our sons joined us for part of the trip before catching a flight back home so having that second bedroom was perfect. The primary bath had a soaking tub that became my refuge after long days. Housekeeping came almost daily to refresh towels, take out trash, and make the beds. We requested two deep cleanings during our stay which was sufficient and worth it for the time we were there. The grounds are immaculate. If you love walking like I do you can stroll through the different neighborhoods on the property for a lovely escape. The resort is tucked away from all the Orlando chaos but still has easy access to the major highways. Dining, Eleven on the top floor is my favorite. It's a beautiful rooftop pool with a gorgeous view. It opens on Tuesdays from 5pm-10pm through Sundays. Downstairs, the Lobby Sushi Bar comes alive once it opens at 5pm as well. The Clubhouse offers breakfast, brunch, lunch, and dinner which is a convenient walk just next door. And if you want an upscale dinner experience 7593 Chophouse got you covered. They open 5pm-10pm and is located in the first floor of the hotel. There's also a Starbucks located on the first floor next to the elevators. If you golf, this is the place. The courses are stunning. Reunion Resort is beautiful, well-staffed, and so relaxing. We'll definitely be back.

This…read moreincredible resort does everything imaginable to give wish kids facing life threatening medical issues and their families the best week of their lives, all at no cost to the families. We were guests here with two of my daughter in 2012 and 2015, and we've been back as volunteers over the past four years. I have only wonderful things to say about this wonderful resort. Founded by Holocaust survivor Henri Landwirth, GKTW is celebrating their 40th birthday. They've hosted over 200,000 wish families, and each wish child has their own gold star on the ceiling of the Castle of Miracles. Each family gets to stay in a two bedroom villa for the week, and all of their meals are provided in Cafe Clayton - the on property restaurant. There is also an ice cream parlor that opens each day at 7:30AM and families are highly encouraged to eat ice cream for breakfast at least once during their stay. In addition, Noah's Nook provides poolside snacks such as nachos, popcorn, chips, and iceys; and you can also get pizza deliveries right to your villa from Miss Merry's Pizzeria. There is so much to do at GKTW! The pool is amazing and is handicap accessible. Actually, absolutely everything at GKTW is fully accessible! There is also a life-sized Candyland Game playground, a beautiful carousel, and two other amusement park rides on site. In Amberville, there are arcade games and the biggest model railroad system I've ever seen. Families can also go fishing, participate in the evening parties, and do STEM activities in the Wonderlab. They can play on the dinosaur themed mini golf course, and get their hair and nails done at the Rockin' Spa. Best of all is the amazingly friendly and welcoming atmosphere at GKTW. The village looks like a fairytale world with brightly colored buildings, whimsical characters, and Mayor Clayton, a well dressed village who "runs the village". The village is spotlessley clean and very well maintained. Each week, volunteers happily fill over 1800 shifts doing everything from scooping ice cream, to serving meals, to power washing, to helping at parties, to running the carousel to help families have the week of their lives. All of the volunteers are so friendly and really go the extra mile to be kind to the wish children and their families. We've been volunteering during our spring school vacation week for the past four years, and it is the BEST! We look forward to it for the whole year and pack as many volunteer shifts into our week as possible, because being at GKTW and helping these incredible families is so rewarding and also fun. I highly recommend GKTW to families whose child qualifies for a wish due to tough medical circumstances, or anyone who would like to help out by volunteering.
