Somisomi brought back memories of my mother and aunts and being with them and eating Taiyaki. I walked in and could smell the intoxication aroma of the scrumptious treat to come. The cashier greeted me with a huge smile and asked what would I like. I was overwhelmed with the choices. Taiyaki had so many selections. It could be filled with red bean, custard, or sesame. I love them all. The ice-cream choices were matcha, milk ice cream, and Ube. It was so hard to decide. However, I thought I should try something different. The cashier suggested Ube with red bean paste. IT WAS DELICIOUS . I could see myself eating them everyday. Whenever I'm in town I will definitely be back. Thank you so much Somisomi for helping me take a trip down memory lane and providing the desserts of my childhood. In 1970 you could only get these in San Francisco Japan town or Japan.!
I'm not going to lie - after finishing our dinner at Chubby Cattle, we weren't entirely sure if we were sweating from all of the meat or the Pleasanton heat. Optimistically, I'd like to think it was more due to the latter, but regardless of the reason, we knew immediately we needed a cold sweet treat to cool ourselves off. Or, more specifically, a short walk across the parking lot to get some Somisomi! Much like all of their other locations that I've been to, this Somisomi is pretty minimal in nearly every way - from their design and decor to their menu. However, the latter, in particular, works for them, keeping things simple and helping them get orders out quickly. Plus, it's not like their menu is short on options - from their ahboong and upside ahboong, to their soft serve and taiyaki, to their milk drinks, cold brew, and cold brew float, they have a great selection to choose from. Not to mention how their variety of flavors of soft serve, taiyaki, and toppings allows for a dozens of ways for you to customize your order! While I already had an idea of what I wanted to get before we stepped inside, it didn't take me long to decide on their flavor once I saw their featured flavor. For my UPSIDE DOWN AHBOONG ($7.95), I opted to get their Cookies 'n Cream & Milk Tea Swirl with a Red Bean Taiyaki and Crushed Biscoff Crumbles. Sadly, this wasn't quite as awesome as I had hoped for, but this was still pretty good. Mostly, the taste of the milk tea in the swirl was hard to notice, but I did think the cookies 'n cream side of it was great. As before, though, the highlight of me was the taiyaki (with the swirl in it), as the red bean filling was delicious and I loved the batter - slightly crispy on the outside, soft on the inside. Despite how there was a small crowd ahead of when we got in line, it seemed like it only took a few minutes before all of our orders were ready. What's more, the workers here were all super friendly, which is impressive given how they're just constantly churning out orders one after another for hours on end. Considering how I'm so late to the Somisomi party, I'm sure there may still be some novelty to coming here for me, but it doesn't change the fact that I still thoroughly enjoyed my order. What's more, I don't know what the other dessert options are around Pleasanton, but I imagine there aren't many others that are also open so relatively late (open until 10:30pm on Fridays and weekends). If nothing else, this is a great place to head to for some sweet cool relief from the heat! Or the Chubby Cattle meat sweats...
Tried Somisomi for the first time after dinner at Mumu, and it really hit the spot. Some of us got soft serve, others got the taiyaki, and taiyaki with soft serve. Popular spot, and nice simple yet tasteful interior, including a wall for some photos around the pick up area. I tried their matcha ube soft serve, and got it in a cup since we were going to get in the car and I didn't want to risk making a mess. It didn't take too long, and price was decent in comparison to these spots. When they called my name, they asked if I wanted any toppings. I had no idea, so I got it as is, but that was a nice touch. The soft serve itself was really pretty, but flavorful wise was a bit bland. The matcha was rather subtle, but the texture was really good. It also didn't melt as easily as others I've had which was appreciative. For their taiyaki, you can pick the filling. Yum!
I have come here many times and have tried different flavors. The majority of the time I usually order the Upside Down Ahboong filled with something. On my visit last week, I ordered the Upside Down Ahboong with the Pistachio soft serve flavor, and with the black sesame filling. It was so good! The soft serve had a nice pistachio flavor to it, and the Ahboong was made perfectly with a nice soft chewiness to it. In the past, the Ube and the black sesame soft serve were my favorites. My favorite filling was the custard.
Somisomi is one of the few dessert places in this plaza that remains open past 8 pm on weekdays. I ordered the matcha soft serve with red bean taiyaki. I've been to other locations and remember the taiyaki being warm and crispy. It was crispy, but not warm on the outside. The service was quick, and facility was spacious.
Had some food next door and was so excited to see Somi Somi in the same parking lot! Service is quick but nothing compares to the waffle styled fish with filling! Young crew working there but very professional. Love it!
Walking across from chubby cattle,we've tried their ube soft serve and Taiyaki(fish waffle with filling).The soft serve is refreshing and together with the warm Taiyaki with custard filling is perfect combination for me.
Got the pistachio ube swirl with graham cracker toppings and it was good! I appreciate the ube actually tasting like it and not like taro. Pistachio didn't have an artificial flavor too.
Came in here with some friends after eating at Kura sushi next door! Collectively we ordered three milk soft serves with a nutella filled taiyaki on the top. The staff were very efficient with the preparation, our orders did not take more than 7 minutes to make. Loved how toppings were free! I had Oreo crumbs, cereal, and macaron on mine! Though Somisomi do not have a wide range of choices on the menu, this shop makes the cutest ice cream! The walls in the interior were the cutest with decorations on the walls where our ice creams could pose for a picture. However, what cost them a star was that the place could use some furniture. The shop was practically empty, so we had to stand and eat on a high table facing the wall.
Came here after our lunch. Somisomi is always a good idea! There were people inside and coming in and out. We were lucky and did not have to wait in line. We usually always come here for ice cream, but we went for their taiyaki only this time. We ordered their 5 pack deal and tried some new flavors - Oreo, cheddar, and black sesame. They were all so good! We saw they had a limited time banana pudding flavor soft serve - we will have to come back soon to try it. If you haven't tried Somisomi, you're missing out on delicious soft serve and taiyaki. Come check it out!
This place is good. Been coming here for a while. Was in town so I grabbed a matcha ah boong with a red bean taiyaki. I like how their soft serve isn't too sweet. I always add the matcha powder as well! The employees running the register were quick and friendly. Also super informative. This location is really clean but kind of empty? Not really much going inside but it doesn't matter too much because all the customers inside. Will be back soon!
The ice cream is very creamy and rich. I ordered the milk flavor. It's pretty good but it felt one note. I was hoping for more exciting toppings like macarons or cotton candy. But it was pretty limited. Only one of my kids got a topping but it was "dusted" on the ice cream vs like what's shown in their photos. The taiyaki fish was freshly made. Nice chew. I chose black sesame as my filling but it wasn't really "filled" but more like lightly lined. I wanted it to ooze with black sesame. The flavor was mild. I wanted more black sesame flavor. No chairs. Only one long table to stand next to.
Came after dinner for dessert. The place is small, clean, and standing room only. Even with a line of 5, they move fast! Taiyaki orders may take longer. I like that you can select your toppings and their desserts are not too sweet.
A really yummy tayaki. The sort serve had a good amount of matcha flavor and the fish was so soft and fluffy. The custard inside also paired really well with everything. I also usually can't eat a whole serving/scoop of ice cream by myself since I don't have a sweet tooth but if this wasn't unhealthy I could probably eat this every day... read more
I ordered the ah-boong in a cup. I chose black sesame soft serve and red bean in the taiyaki with toasted coconut and a strawberry. My son ordered the ah-boong and a cup with ube ice cream, Oreo crumbs taiyaki filled with red bean. My daughter ordered the milk soft serve with Oreo crumbs and a macaron on top. We thought that the presentation was really good so four stars there. We decided to sit on the bench outside rather than eating in the car which is a good idea because all of us made a real mess from dripping soft serve all over ourselves since it was a hot day and it was melting really quickly. Other than that, the desserts were pretty good. I can't wait to try it again and try the different flavors, too. read more

Those waffles are so evil. They are so good. My kids love their Oreo soft serve, hubby had milk which he also liked. Mine was coffee and it was not enough coffee flavor to me but it wasn't bad. The star of the show are those waffles. They are so good. We tried all the fillings except for taro. The winner to us is cheese and oreo. Red bean is a close third for me. The place is tiny so with covid it's rather hard to keep a distance. Hopefully people will still make an effort while waiting for their order. read more

Another taiyaki joint to add to the list--and competing with Uji Time on the opposite side of the plaza as well. We came for their grand opening event: buy one ah-boong and get one free taiyaki. There were a few people in front of us in line outside but it moved pretty quickly (~10 min). They allow 2-3 groups inside at a time to line up to order. After ordering, you stand off to the side in another line. You can watch the taiyaki-making process as you wait. Once your dessert is made, you choose toppings! There were 8 to choose from, including crushed captain crunch, oreo crumbles, crushed graham crackers, matcha powder, sprinkles, etc. And you choose between a cute macaron or strawberry to top it off. This week's swirl options were milk and matcha; ube and sesame; and oreo and milk tea. Overall a quick and pleasant experience. Hard to remain socially distant with so many people during the opening, but they have markers on the floor to help. Not more special than other taiyaki places, but a good warm day treat. read more

So happy to have a somisomi near us now! We used to only be able to get it in South Bay or socal. Their soft serve flavors rotate and each location has different swirls every week. You can check out their Instagram page to find the current offerings. The "ahboong" is what I think got them popular -- it's basically soft serve in a taiyaki cone, and you can pick the filling in the taiyaki (I like taro or custard). Their soft serve is pretty creamy, and I appreciate that most flavors are lactose-free for lactose-challenged like me. And they give you a pretty large amount! However, I usually only get their soft serve if there's a new flavor I've been wanting to try, because I actually prefer their regular taiyakis (with choice of filling) and not many other places nearby sell those. They're usually pretty chewy and crispy on the outside and don't get soggy super fast. Either way I've never had a bad order here! read more

This was our second time coming to this location. There was no wait or line when we arrived here on a Saturday night to get a treat after our dinner.. they were so quick.. I ordered an upside down ahboong in a cup with ube & cookies and cream swirl with Nutella filling & it was so good! My daughter and I shared and it was enough for the both of us! My favorite dessert place rn! My favorite one is in San Mateo where I live, but this place was no different! Customer service - excellent as usual. Very friendly and timely and considerate. And the place was clean, easily accessible, and very inviting. Cute ambiance. I like to try different flavors, and this one's exclusive was thai tea. SO good. The soft serve is creamy, smooth, delicious, and famously "not too sweet." Not to mention UNLIMITED TOPPINGS (featuring biscoff crumbles and cocoa pebbles today). Hot fresh taiyaki is the way to go. Order it fresh on the side and combine for that wonderful hot and cold combination. The oreo and nutella are the best in my opinion, and the cheese one is surprisingly good too! My love for Somisomi is undying. Side note: The staple flavors are ube and matcha (both top-notch flavors). The hot fresh taiyaki is AMAZING, and some ppl think they're undercooked, but they have regulated temperatures so they're safe, and that's the way they're supposed to be - DIVINE!! read more

Soooo happy to have a Somi Somi in the East Bay! Prior to this location, there were only two other locations in the Bay Area - both in the South Bay (as of this review they are opening another location in downtown SF!). Somi Somi started in Koreatown, LA in 2016 and have since expanded all across California and into other states as well. They serve the creamiest, tastiest, and smoothest soft serve ice cream you can find. Some of their most popular flavors are ube, matcha, black sesame, and milk tea. They also have an assorted of swirl flavors. On my most recent visit I got ube/milk tea swirl. You can get the ice cream in a cup, or in one of their signature fish cones. The fish cone isn't like your typical ice cream cone. It's crispy on the outside, and soft and chewy on the inside -- much like a crispy waffle. The cone can also be filled with a filling like Nutella or custard. Toppings, like Oreo crumbs, matcha powder, sprinkles, and a macaron, are unlimited! Yes, it is a little on the pricey side for ice cream ($4 in cup / $6 in a cone) but the quality is top-notch and truly one of the best soft serve ice creams you'll ever have. I don't know how they do it, but their ice cream texture is so soft, yet compact. It is located in the Asian plaza across the street from the Livermore outlets. Parking is plentiful. I've gone twice during covid and the lines went really quickly both times. I still don't like a lot of people know that it's there. read more

SOMISOMI... you make eating healthy so difficult. Whenever I drive past you, I can't help myself. Why do you have to be so creamy and sweet? Why do you have to have such good flavors like milk tea? Key Points: - Tasty soft serve ice cream with unique flavors such as ube, matcha, and honeydew. - fish cones available (Ah-boong!) - Taiyaki! The Mrs. And I have wanted to try Somi Somi for quite some time. We lives in SoCal for years, but never tried it there. So ironically, we tried if after moving back up to NorCal. We stopped by here on the way back from the central valley, as we were craving some form of ice cream. It was a toss up between this place and Uji Time. We realized we tried Uji time in SoCal, so this became the obvious choice. We chose the Matcha and the Ube soft serve flavors, in upside-down Ahboong. By having it upside down in a cup, it helps keep things neater/cleaner, especially since we still try to adhere to social distancing by eating in the car rather than dining in. For toppings, you get to choose between a strawberry and a macarOn. Yes, macaron, NOT a macaroon. I won't go into the difference today. Anyways, it's ice cream, it's matcha and ube, so you absolutely can't go wrong with it. I do believe the fish cones were a bit dry and thin. Though not enough for me to dock any stars. Now, the only thing that would have made the experience better would have been if they had allowed me to choose two separate flavors for my order. I actually wanted to try both the ube AND the honeydew. I wanted something like ube on the bottom, followed with honeydew on top. However, I didn't want to order two flavors as then I would have to eat double the ice cream and pay more. Why not a swirl then? Well, I'm glad you asked. Firstly, they didn't offer a swirl in those two flavors. And secondly, this is the real reason, and all you readers who like swirled ice cream may hate me for this, so please forgive me on this, as it's my honest opinion: I feel like a swirl is pretty much pointless. I mean, the point of getting two different flavors is to TRY TWO DIFFERENT flavors. That means, if I want to try something like Vanilla and Chocolate (in this case, ube and honeydew), then I would want them SEPARATE, so that I could have a bite of the vanilla, and then the chocolate, and vice versa. In a swirl, the two flavors are intertwined so finely that in order to try any separate flavors, you would have to carefully scoop TINY little bites, too small and too much work to actually enjoy. That and you would HAVE to eat it with a spoon to do this. Most of the time, every bite you take is going to have both flavors, making it nearly impossible to distinguish between the two in one's bite because every bite has both flavors in your mouth. If I wanted this, wouldn't I just mix the flavors entirely? like mix/stir the chocolate and vanilla together so that I get a relatively homogenous flavor? that would be more efficient, wouldn't it? That's why I'm not a fan of swirls, and that's why if I ever wanted to different ice cream flavors, I would want them separate. If I still wanted the mixture of the flavors that a swirl grants you, then I could then mix them in my cone, bowl, or whatever vessel is holding the ice cream. Anyways, I digressed a lot there. Somi Somi is great. Didn't mean to go too crazy on my lack of fondness of swirls. But hey, my experience here reminded me of it. Still, you should check this place out. This dessert place is so good! The Taiyaki is made fresh. We ordered the red bean and Custard Taiyaki and it is so good. The ingredients are the real thing its not just flavoring. We also ordered the Upside down Ahboong with red bean Taiyaki and oreo soft serve. Excellent! We also ordered the Taro soft serve. If you love Ube this is a place to get it. The soft serve is so creamy and the Ube flavor on this soft serve is 100% Authentic Ube! It was so good we came back 3 days in a row. Enjoy this place and try all the Taiyaki. read more
I am not exaggerating when I say that SomiSomi is my all time favorite soft serve and taiyaki place. Their soft serves are creamy and fragrant and the right amount of sweetness for me. The taiyaki are made to order and come out piping hot. You can't really go wrong with any flavor you choose, but my favorites are ube and matcha. I always have such a hard time choosing between the 2 so just imagine how excited I was when they had the ube matcha swirl the day I was there. I love that they switch up the swirl combinations, but this was for sure my lucky day. We arrived at 2PM on a Friday and there were quite a few people in there getting their mid day snack. There was only one worker, so it took some time but I didn't mind. I got the taiyaki is all the flavors and an upside down ahboong with custard filling (my favorite!) and the ube matcha swirl with fruity pebbles and strawberry. My favorite place to get soft serve when going back to the Bay! They have options for soft serve, soft serve in/with an ah-boong (a fish-shaped pastry that can be filled with tons of different fillings: my favorites are Nutella and Taro), and taiyaki, which is just the fish-shaped pastry with a filling. The taiyaki comes in sets of 5, perfect for sharing with friends and family! You can see them being made in front of you, and you can definitely taste the crunchiness and freshness. There are also tons of toppings to choose from, and they also come with a complimentary strawberry or macaroon. The best part about this place is definitely the unique variety of flavors you can get your soft serve in. My favorite is the Ube, but some other flavors I've really enjoyed are their Milk tea, Milk (a sort of Vanilla), Black Sesame, and Matcha. The flavors rotate around every week or so and are also offered in swirls if you'd like more than one flavor. Very reasonably priced! Definitely recommend this place to anyone stopping by the Outlet mall or Pearl Plaza! read more

We don't live near SomiSomi, but we always want to grab some whenever we're around the area. We typically get ube in a cup alongside a custard filled taiyaki. There's nothing like it! We've been to Uji Time more often and while they're good as well, something about SomiSomi's ube tastes different; better in our opinion! Uji Time also doesn't offer custard so if that's what you're into then I would definitely recommend trying it! We're hoping SomiSomi will open up a location closer to the Concord/Antioch area soon. I was so excited to see that they opened up a new location close to me. I couldn't resist helping myself to some right then and there. Definitely one of my favorite dessert places. The custard filled taiyaki is my favorite part! There are a handful of different flavors to choose, and if you're indecisive, you can try two flavors together. I went for the matcha & milk twist and the soft serve was delicious! For my toppings, I went with the crushed Oreo and a mini macron to add the finishing touch. Personally, I like it "upside down" with the taiyaki on top of a cup of soft serve, it's easier to share and less messy. I'm looking forward to visiting again! read more

Stopped by on opening day 6/12/20 Friday. Shelter in place is still going on while restrictions are slowly being lifted. Something was off with the ice cream, but that's expected on opening day. I think the owners were there training, great customer service! The taiyaki was yummy, just as yummy as the other SomiSomi I've been to. Pro-tip; buy just the ice cream in a cup + taiyaki if you can't decide on the taiyaki filling. This way, you get multiple taiyaki fillings with your ice cream. Also another pro-tip; follow SomiSomi on Instagram. They post weekly what their special flavors are. read more

Whenever my work sends me to the Livermore plant to do IT work, I walk from my Hotel and come here after my dinner (normally Basil Delight in the same shopping center). I always get their matcha soft serve and depending on how hungry I still am - will sometimes get a nutella filled Taiyaki (fished-shaped waffel). Both are truly addicting and I have not had an equivalent in quality matcha soft serve anywhere else. It is the perfect blend on matcha tang, sweetness, and silky texture. It is one of my favorite food things in life - yep its that good! The nutella filled Taiyaki is really good also, creamy nutella in a softer fish-shaped waffel. It amuses me. read more

wow! I have never been the type of person who genuinely craves ice cream, but now I am! somisomi is truly the best place to satisfy your sweet cravings. it's super affordable ($3-6 depending on whatcha get) and filling! I love the fact you can customize the kind of toppings you get on your soft serve, I always go for coconut shavings and graham crackers, but there a bunch of others such as oreos, fruity pebbles, and much more! super fun experience and the staff there are very friendly and are willing to answer any questions you have about the items.... now the taiyaki (which are basically fish shaped buns stuffed with various fillings) take some time to come out because they're made to order so expect to wait around 5-15 minutes if you order some of these bad boys (the wait is hella worth it though). they're nice and crunchy, but soft and creamy on the inside UGH it is to die for. keep in mind the swirl flavors change each week so if you see your favorite swirl combo you better get it before it's gone! my personal fave is the matcha and milk tea WHEW that shit is heaven in a cup. anyway, everyone needs to check this place out, their ice cream is the best in town! :D read more
Somi Somi makes for such a good late night dessert. I went on a Tuesday around 8pm and there were customers constantly going in and out; there isn't indoor seating and service is pretty fast so I maybe only waited 2 minutes for my ice cream. I ordered just the milk tea soft serve while my friend got ube + milk tea + custard taiyaki. My soft serve cost less than $4 and they give you a pretty size able amount of ice cream! It was super tasty and not overly sweet, but didn't really taste like milk tea? It just tasted more like nutty/full bodied cream more than milk tea but it was still good so I have no complaints. I love that you get free toppings (oreos, graham crackers, fruity pebbles, etc) and a choice of a half strawberry or mini macaron. I was a little disappointed though to find they don't offer every flavor of soft serve every day. For example, I came in hoping to try their strawberry or hojicha, but that didn't offer those flavors that evening -- only horchata, milk tea, milk, ube, black sesame, and some others. I also wish they offered fruit toppings and more fruit-based flavors of soft serve. read more

SomiSomi is one of my favorite ice cream to get when I'm craving strongly for dessert! The soft serves are big and come with the option of a taiyaki, so whether you're craving ice cream or something cakey, you'll get it all here! The soft serve comes in many delicious flavors, like matcha, taro, milk tea, coffee, milk, etc. Literally all my favorites, it's so hard to choose each time. Each flavor is very creamy and not overly sweet. You can get swirls of 2 flavors, which changes weekly. My favorite go-to is matcha + taro. The matcha flavor isn't super strong, no bitterness at all, but I think it goes very well the taro that's super creamy! The taiyaki is also incredible! I love that it has a chewy, mochi-like texture. If you also like a mochi texture, definitely get it in a taiyaki! My recommendation is to get the upside down ahboong for an easier/less messy eating experience. A downside of this location is it seems super busy. I came at 9pm and it was packed inside with a full line, we ended waiting about 15-20 mins for our order. Another downside is there's no sitting/dining area, so you'll have to eat standing outside, in your car, or take it to go. Overall, it's located in a plaza with many restaurants, so it's a great post-meal dessert option! ;) read more
It's my first time trying Somi Somi and I have always heard good things about it. It's located in a plaza full of food option, so it's a great dessert place to visit after a good dinner/lunch. I ordered matcha and cookie&cream swirl with Oreo crumbs topping, and two red bean filled Taiyaki. The red bean filled fish came out warm and fresh. It's a great dessert in winter. I loved the combination of ice-cream and red bean filled tayaki. I waited about 5 min in line and another 5 min to get the food I ordered. I would recommend everyone to try this cute dessert place! read more
This place is definitely a sweet treat! Their soft serve is pretty soft (too soft IMO) and melts quickly. Therefore, always get it upside down. They have a variety of ice cream flavor including ube, matcha, and milk tea. I also love that they do small taiyaki fishes AND you can customize flavor of each fish (where as Uji time across the plaza doesn't not offer smaller fish). Their custard flavor is pretty bomb. But the taro flavor tastes a bit artificial. I think the cheddar one would be interesting to try too! It's delicious and the taiyakis are heart warming on a cold night. Its pillow-y. It's picture worthy. Expect a line around dinner time and for custom made taiyakis. read more

A while back my friend took me to try Somi Somi for the first time. I'm so happy I got the chance to! I got the ah-boong with the ube ice cream and Taiyaki filled with red bean. The ube ice cream was silky and not overly sweet which I really enjoyed. The taiyaki with the red bean was delicious. The taiyaki, made fresh, had a nice crunch and chew to it. The red bean filling was not overly sweet and if I remember correctly it had some actual red bean chunks. Overall I really enjoyed this and not to mention the portions were big. I can't wait to go back! read more

We got the milk and cookies & cream swirl along with their waffle cone and our kid got the cookies & cream ice cream in a cup with some toppings. We all really liked the quality of the ice cream was very Smooth and not that sweet. The waffle cone is soft, flavorful and has amazing custard in it which goes well with the ice cream. I was in the neighborhood for a Yelp event and when I saw this store, I thought I should try and do I got 2 taiyaki custard and Oreo. Really nice staff and clean store. It was ready quickly and they even labeled our box to make sure we knew which one is which! The taiyaki tasted so good. I will definitely recommend this place for sure. read more

My son and I wanted to try something new so we found SomiSomi. We ordered the Match & Milk and Milk & Oreo. We also ordered the Taiyaki (Custard, Nutella, and Oreo). We made the mistake of ordering the ice cream at the same time as the Taiyaki because our ice cream was all melted. My son didn't feel comfortable eating inside because of COVID. There were quite a bit of people that went in after us. Therefore, he wanted to wait and eat in the car. I would have given SomiSomi a perfect 5 star rating. However, I deducted a star because they didn't work on our order after we had ordered. After we ordered, 2 families came in after us. They immediately worked on their orders and gave it to them first. After everyone left, we finally received our order. By that time, our ice cream was melted. It was still edible, but it dripped all over my son's clothes. He was so upset and we really didn't get to enjoy our ice cream. HOWEVER, the Taiyaki was very delicious and so was the ice cream. Came in while it was super busy, and at the time there was only one worker but her service was quick & efficient. She was friendly and patient! The box of filled taiyaki is made fresh to order! And the milk tea flavored soft serve was so delicious! I definitely recommend getting the upside down ah-boong because it's easier to eat. Ambiance was chill. Quick grab and go, and so festive with the decor! Will definitely be back. Service was so great! read more
I'm still dreaming about this soft serve and I had it 3 days ago. We went here after dinner and after having a little fight and it played a part in us reconciling. That's how good SomiSomi is. This place serves soft serve with the cute taiyakis. The ice cream here was so soft and creamy and not too sweet. Perfect balance. What's more is that many of their ice creams are lactose free, so if your intolerant, then you can rest assured that it won't make you sick! The store is very clean and they don't allow dining inside. read more
