My single combo before cooking- some sort wagyu, tendon, tilapia, various veggies
    Rita W.

It's been ages since I've had hot pot, and tbh, I haven't been a fan of it because a lot of items have been bland to me. A couple workout buddies + kids and I went here for dinner on a Friday night, put our name down on the wait list, and waited for around 20 mins. During the wait time, we went nearby to the bakery and got some stuff there. Absolutely love the single pots here so you can enjoy your own flavor soup/broth to drink and to cook the items you choose. We were seated and everything looked so clean. Ordering was done via QR code and the items accumulate on the order page where if multiple people scan the table QR code, whatever each person adds gets added so don't check out until everything in that around is definitely in. The soups and items came by sooooo quickly. I was impressed! They have a make your own sauce combo and we did that between ordering and getting our stuff. I got a singles combo with tom yum soup base. It was a good amount of food. I chose one of the Wagyu, and the side items I chose were tendon, fish, and if I also chose something else, I forgot. It came with a lot of veggies such as greens and mushroom. Guess I mixed and "created" my sauces right cause they went well with the stuff. Cooking the meat was so quick, so pretty much not much wait time to enjoy some food. Others chose some different cuts of beef, some lamb (?), quail eggs, and more. A bit pricey, but the stuff was super fresh and things were really quick so it was worth it to me.

I am so against a la carte hot pot, but I get the Mumu hype for real!! The quality is there and the taste is so good. My party came in midday, and there was no wait on a Saturday. If I remember correctly, we had a reservation and arrived early as well. They sat us down once we were all there since there was no wait. My partner and I opted for the classic set which had 2 soup bases, 3 meats, 3 sides, 2 rice/noodle, and a veggie platter. I opted for the Yuzu Shio, while my partner got the Sukiyaki. I loved my broth! Again the meats, despite being from their most basic set meats was so good. You can definitely tell the difference in quality. I was scared this wasn't gonna be enough, but it was plenty! We were so full by the end. Again, I totally get the Mumu hot pot hype. I will be back LOL

We really like mumu hotpot. Their meat is definitely better than those AYCE. We are not a huge eater so we prefer better quality. This place is quite busy, sometimes wait time could be 45 mins to an hour on weekends. No reservations. We put down our name and walk around the plaza while waiting for our seats. Service is always good. The 2 people combo menu comes with 3 trays of meat, veggies and choice of rice and noodles. Sauce is available for your choice. There are plenty of soup base for you to choose from with spicy and non spicy option. I always like tom yum soup. Yum!

Their wagyu beef is tender. Makes the hot pot experience great. Love their mushroom sauce that you can get from the sauce bar. Service is great. Servers are always friendly and they are quick to serve you.

First time hot potter! The hype is real! Check in when I arrived. 20 minute wait and it was worth it! Staff showed us how to make the sauce and explained the process. Be careful it is HOT!!! Hence the hot pot. Burned my mouth. I might have to come back next week! Very good and flavorful! Packed but quick service.

Great experience! Tomyum base with sauces enriches the tastes and enhances the flavors. Vegetarian single combo was a great hit! 30 mins wait time Saturday evening!

Came here for the first time on a Sunday for lunch and there was a 5 min wait which is not bad. If there is a wait, you can add yourself to the Yelp Waitlist on the iPad, then they'll call your name once they're ready. The menu is on a QR code and one person will put it on their phone and order everyone's order from there. I got the tom yum soup, with the New Zealand lamb shoulder meat, and udon noodles. The veggies come on the side already and I also picked shrimp as the other option. Once we ordered it, the food came out within a minute - it was so fast! There is a sauce/condiment bar where you can create your own side dipping sauce. The tom yum soup was really good but I couldn't tell if it was a bit salty but besides that it was really good. The meat was good as well. Service was good - they came to our table a couple of times to refill water. If you don't finish your food, you can get a container and boxes to pack up your food ToGo. There is a large parking lot outside and there are two restroom stalls here for the women's restroom. I would definitely come back here again.

I haven't been to Mumu in a long time. I used to go pretty often when I lived in the South Bay, especially when the first location opened in Sunnyvale. I eventually stopped going because the prices kept going up. It used to be much more affordable, and now it's definitely on the higher end. There are a lot of other AYCE hot pot places you can go to for much less, and while the meat quality might not be the same, the price difference is huge. Recently, I went vegetarian, and it's actually hard to find a good value AYCE hot pot spot without ordering meat. I noticed that Mumu offers a single vegetarian combo for $27, which isn't bad at all, so we decided to give it another try. I do wish they offered some kind of meat substitute like seitan or gluten, but that's honestly hard to find at hot pot places in general. I ordered the vegetarian tom yum broth, and the vegetable tray was huge. I still had vegetables left over after eating. Ordering is done through a QR code, which was a little confusing at first. It asks you to pick two vegetable items, so I assumed that was all I was getting. It doesn't clearly explain that you also receive a full vegetable tray in addition to the extra veggies you choose. One thing I really appreciated was that adding a raw egg is only $1, which is much more reasonable compared to other places that charge $2 to $3 per egg. The sauce bar is still awesome, the quality of the food is as good as I remembered, and the service was great and attentive. Overall, I was very satisfied and will definitely come back. I'm still kind of shocked at how filling and satisfying vegetarian hot pot can be. I just wish they had a meat substitute option.

We really enjoyed our lunch at Mumu. Dare I say, almost as good as homemade hot pot?! We got there shortly after they opened and there were already a few groups before us. The restaurant is a pretty good size and it filled up, even for a weekday lunch! People truly like this place! The server was cheerful, friendly, and explained everything to us. They checked in a few times, refilling our water glasses and broth (choice of hot water or chicken stock). We ordered the "Classic" 2 person set ($75). 3 meats (1 angus short rib & 2 chuck eye), 3 sides (spam, fish balls with roe, & tendon), 2 noodle or rice (1 house ramen & 1 udon), 1 veggie platter. All of the items were high quality and well cleaned. No growth media left on mushrooms, veggies were properly scrubbed, etc. Check out photos to see how nice and clean everything is! We don't usually like fried tofu or tofu skin, but those items were super fresh and delicious here. They had a good selection of stuff to go with the meats and you can always order more. We really like the chuck eye. It is tender without being super fatty. The tendon was extremely soft and one of our favorites too. We got an extra portion for $7. The House Ramen wasn't like the classic wavy Ramen, but more like a thin noodle. The udon was high quality, the set comes with half of a usual block. Kids really enjoyed these items and we had to order extras ($5 for a whole block of udon). I got an extra Napa cabbage ($6), which was well cleaned and a pretty generous portion. We got one extra soup base for $7. The mushroom soup was DH's favorite. It had a little bit of tanginess, which I'm not sure if I liked, but made it more complex. Little one got miso, which he loved. Me and the tiny one shared a Sukiyaki soup, which is sweet and savory, sorta like Teriyaki flavor. If you're not sure about spiciness level, get a plain soup and add the spice at the toppings station afterwards. The toppings station had many options. You try it out some sesame oil and chili crisp. Crushed garlic also looked really good. Here you can get extra small bowls and soup spoons. The restaurant is casual and kept at a colder temperature than usual, which makes sense given that you're eating hot (and possibly spicy) soup. There was a sports game playing on the TV. Overall, a really excellent experience at a reasonable price. We will be back!

Mumu always taste good. There is a wait so sign up for the yelp waitlist. We got the combo and it fed both of us so well. The Wagyu is so delicious. I will def come Back and the sukiyaki broth taste so good.

Meat lovers is the way to go, plenty of food for two people. Tom yum soup base is my go to Don't forget to get your sauces at the condiments bar. Their juices are pretty good too! Parking: always easy unless youre going prime time

This is the third Mumu Hot Pot location I've been to in the Bay Area and this one seems to be the smallest and older. The wait on a Friday night was a bit longer than expected than what was shown when we first joined the waitlist. Service here is fast though! We did get seated by the kitchen, so it was a bit hectic with staff constantly rushing behind us. We got the premium set and the meat quality was great. The vegetable platter that came with the set had a nice variety of fresh veggies. We ordered udon noodles but what we got was broken up pieces of frozen noodles that looked only to be half a serving. Other than that we still enjoyed our meal and were both stuffed. Personally I'd choose the Emeryville location over this one just because it's bigger and you're not sharing a table with other guests as much.

Is this place vegetarian friendly? I don't eat red meat

    Wait time for dinner?

    30-45 mins on the weekend

Is this all you can eat?

    No, it isn't!

I like MuMu. Do you have a membership to apply for better benefit to customer and loyalty? Thanks

I don't think they have a loyalty program, but you can check in on Yelp for a free Sake!

    Do you serve halal meet?

I saw on the menu that the lamb is halal

Will you guys be discontinuing the Green Pepper soup base? I saw that it's not on the new menu :( It's our favorite!

The green pepper sauce is at the sauce bar. We order the mushroom soup base, then add the green pepper sauce.

Any gluten free options? If so, what are they? Thank you!

Hi Jeff, Most of our soup bases are gluten free such as Tom Yum, Tomato, Sichuan Spicy, Mushroom…

Is any meat here halal? It comes up when searching halal but the menu doesn't specify.

Not to my knowledge. They likely buy in bulk so not likely halal unless they specifically purchased meat that followed halal practice.

    All you can?

Nope. Never has been, but the quality here tends to be better than most AYCE's.

Are they open? I've been trying to call them but no answer. We don't wanna drive if it's closed. Would be nice if they have a greeting saying they're open or closed or maybe answer their phone

They have been open at least for the last four months that I've been there. If they are closed, there are lots of other great restaurants in the same complex.

Is this open? Do they have single or family take out options?

I went there last week...they do close after lunch and reopen for dinner.

Is it all you can eat?

No it is not. But the portion is fairly reasonable so I figured out no need to overpay for portions that I can't consume. Hope this helps.

Are we able to make a reservation?

    Yes

They are affiliated with Fiery Shanghai located in the same shopping center. My brother and I came here for dinner with a couple friends on 12/20/2025. It was pretty quiet when we walked in just after 5pm. The staff greeted us, and we were immediately seated. The interior was clean, but the floor was a bit slippery. Near the cash register counter were the cold/hot food and dessert stations and sauce bar. The AYCE dinner was $35.99 per person on weekends ($29.99 on weekdays), which included one broth of your choice, all the hot pot ingredients, plus all the other stuff mentioned in the previous paragraph. Ordering was done by marking what you want on a laminated menu. We started with a round of roast duck wraps, spicy beef and lamb skewers, honey walnut prawns, and other cold appetizers. Everything was delicious, and we eventually got a couple more rounds of the same order. We decided to go with the pork bone soup base since we all wanted something mild. The food menu featured a wide array of standard hot pot ingredients plus different organ meats. We were very pleased with the quality of the meats and vegetables. Out of everything we tried, I especially loved the Angus beef (not fatty), garlic beef (great garlicky flavor), tripe (fresh and crunchy), and tendon (large chucks were stewed prior which gave it a great taste). Portions were huge so beware of over ordering. I didn't see any mention of dining time limit. Service was excellent. The staff were friendly and they checked on us frequently throughout our meal to refill water, clear dirty plates, and take additional orders. With tax and tip (already included in the bill), the total was about $188 ($47 per person). We all thought it was well worth it. Fantastic hot pot option in the Tri-Valley area. You will definitely get your money's worth here. 5 stars.

But years later, Tasty Pot at Ulferts Center is still one of our reliable go-to spots in Dublin. My wife usually orders the Beef Hot Soup, while I go for the Taiwanese Supreme Spicy Hot Soup - both with a side of rice and either black or green tea during lunchtime. Both pots are consistently delicious, satisfying, and served steaming hot - the kind of hot that clears your sinuses and makes your nose run. For reference, we order them at the "medium" spice level, so either we're weak sauce or they really are that hot and spicy. I especially like that Tasty Pot's meals are complete individual servings. You get the full hot-pot experience without having to fetch ingredients, wait for a communal pot to cook, or coordinate a family-style meal. Since the restaurant's website states that the closing time is 9:30 PM, we thought we had enough time to have dinner, especially since this was our first time visiting. As soon as we arrived, however, we were told by the server that 8:45 PM was the last call for orders. We immediately tried to order as quickly as possible using the online ordering system because we did not want to inconvenience the staff. After placing our order, we were then told that green tea and other teas were unavailable, so all of our drink orders were canceled except for water. We understood that items can sometimes run out, so we let that go. The biggest problem was the service and atmosphere after we received our food. It was very difficult to get the attention of the staff because everyone seemed to be rushing around cleaning. We genuinely felt like we were a burden simply because we were still eating. What was especially inappropriate was that while customers were still dining, the staff began putting chairs up on the tables. I even took a picture because I believe management should be aware of what was happening. If the restaurant is still open and customers are still eating, this is not the kind of atmosphere customers should be subjected to. Even worse, it appeared that the AC was turned off while we were still eating, even though it was not yet closing time. With hot pot already being a very warm meal, we were literally sweating while trying to eat. After a long day of traveling, the last thing we wanted was to feel rushed and uncomfortable during dinner. We tried not to make a big issue out of it because we were tired and simply wanted to finish our meal and get to our hotel. But honestly, this type of service is unacceptable. I don't know if this is how every Tasty Pot location operates, but if this is specific to this branch, management really needs to address it and properly train the staff on how to treat customers who are still dining during business hours. Unfortunately, this was our first experience with Tasty Pot, and it will most likely be our last. We were hoping to enjoy the food and understand why my sister recommended it, but the poor service and uncomfortable atmosphere completely ruined the experience. With hot pot, the food is already hot enough. There's no need for the customers to leave with a boiling-hot temper because of the service. Very disappointing, and definitely not a place I would recommend based on this experience.

The inside is very cutely decorated, and you get a large assortment of ingredients for your soup. Pricing is pretty standard its about $15.99/lb. I enjoyed the hotpot, came out super fast (~10 minutes) and they gave large bowls for sharing between my partner and I. I think the soup broth flavor was not as savory as I had hoped but still sweet and good. While everything was very good, this place is in a very competitive area of food spots. I did enjoy the food but I wouldn't say it's the best of the best soup broth. They have about 5-6 different flavorings/cooking styles but i think some places tend to have more. I enjoyed the food and I think I would come back to try other things. I think they do have a large ingredient selection making for a unique hotpot experience.

It was early dinner time on a Friday evening and it wasn't overly crowded. All 6 of us got different items and overall it's a matter of preference for what kind of broth and protein you'd like that depicts the meal, the toppings are generally all the same. Consider this place to almost be a "make your own ramen" type of thing, in that you're given a platter of toppings to add to your bowl of steaming hot broth, mix it and let it sit, then voila! It's ready to eat. For a rainy winter evening, it was perfect to have some tasty noodle soup!

The service was really good, they are super on top of cleaning and serving so my food came out in about 15-20 minutes. I got the combo with an appetizer, drink, and noodle soup. The portions were pretty generous. -grapefruit tea: thought it was pretty yummy! I also tried out the super fruit tea and i really liked it but personally found it to be a little too sweet. Not too much to displease though! I mixed some water and it was perfect for me. -tomato beef brisket noodle soup: i was surprised by how tender the meat was and how much they actually give you. If you love tomato soups as much as i do then it's definitely a great option! -takoyaki & lamb skewers: my sister had one dish from her combo order and i has my own but was able to try both! The lamb skewers were a bit smaller than expected but were flavorful with a fragrant aroma. The takoyaki came in about 5 balls and while they didn't include all typical takoyaki toppings it was still pretty good considering it came as a combo! Overall, i really loved coming by this place, my main concern is that it's actually in a pretty busy plaza so parking can be a little difficult during peak business hours. Otherwise it's located in a really great area relatively close to some shopping areas such as the Livermore outlets or even other smaller shopping plazas. Give this place a try if you're in the area and looking for a good eat without breaking the wallet!

Last week my son wanted to try some new hot pot and we decided to go here for dinner…read more This place is in a big shopping center, there are quite a few spot to park. This is the most disappointing hot pot I've been to, we're going to leave after looking at the menu, again 2 prices, $34 & $42. The broth comes with only 2 flavors just like Haidilao in Fremont which if you chose the wrong ones, then your meal is over, this is exactly what happened to us. The spicy broth is just garlic, star anis, salt water and lots of red pepper that burns your tongue so you can't taste anything. The original broth is also just tons of garlic cloves and tasteless. For $34 you get the least expensive beef there are, my son likes pot belly like Shabuya but only get pork slices, there is pot belly in the cold meat section and doesn't look very fresh. For $42 you get a plate of Wagyu beef each and a few more choices of meats like briskets. So we decided to go with the cheaper $34 menu. Hot pot is simple, good hot broth and "tender" meats to dip in to eat. If the broth is tasteless then the hot pot is bad. The sauce bar is small and people have to get in line to get the sauce, the ponzu is salty not as tasty and light as other places and it's in a bottle. The veggies bar I like, it had Tong Ho and lettuce wraps, but the Tong Ho was gone after the fist round and replaced with something else. The hot foods are actually good, the fried chicken was tasty and crispy, the braised pork feet was delicious. The seafood bar is ok. I think it's depend on everyone's taste, I definitely don't like the tier menus, I prefer individual broth instead of everyone is using the same 2 flavor broths, that's why we don't go to Haidilao any more although their broths are tasty. Until we tried all the hot pots places, we wouldn't know which types fit our tastes and look at the patrons, Chinese main land may have different tastes than Chinese Hong Kong or Taiwan. There are definitely not many Japanese in these places although it's shabu style. Shabuya is still our favorite.
