I go to somisomi when I'm craving some really creamy and SOFT softserve. The flavors are good, but they aren't too strong either. The ube and matcha, for example, are really muted and subtle. But the taiyaki is pretty good, just a tad too sweet for my preference. It is usually crowded inside so be prepared to wait in line. Ambiance is cute, but the line system they have in place could be improved.

Somi somi is my sister and I's favorite place for a sweet pick me up treat. We always get the upside down which comes with a taiyaki with filling of choice over an ice cream swirl. We love to play around with their combos as they change their featured flavors every few weeks. In the past month, we have tried the peach/dalgona and the matcha/ube flavors. All of their flavors are true to description, creamy, and very delicious. For our filling, we tend to alternate between the custard and the nutella. They also let you choose ice cream toppings for each order; I love getting the rainbow crispy cereal. Service is always pretty fast, even if there is a line. No seats inside, but they have an outside seating area that they built. Great vibes.

Absolutely Delicious!!! I stopped by Somi Somi for my usual ube soft serve, and I have to give a special shoutout to the girl nushin on counter! she was absolutely amazing! From the moment I walked in, she greeted me with the warmest smile and had such a positive, friendly attitude that instantly brightened my day. It's rare to find service this genuine and cheerful, and it made my whole Somi Somi experience even better. Not only was the dessert delicious (as always), but the vibe and energy she brought made it feel special. She's the definition of great customer service and the reason I'll keep coming back.

New staff and everyone is friendly and accommodating. The new staff is very informative when it Congress to food allergies ands sensitivities. It always smells amazing in there!

Soo yummyyy! If you want to try a Korean dessert place, this is the place to go! The soft served ice cream is 10/10. I got the ube + cookie and cream. Those two go so well with each other. Literally my two favorite flavors in one. They give you the option of adding toppings so, I got the fruity pebble and they add a macaroon on top. The workers were super friendly. My friends and I came near closing time so, I felt bad but they were still very helpful and sweet. The last time I went here I got a taiyaki with my ice cream but this time I didn't. I would say if it's your first time here it is worth trying the taiyaki with the ice cream! Overall, I had a great experience here and the ice cream was amazing! Can't wait to go back in the future!

After dinner, we came here for some warm dessert. They also have ice cream but they do not give samples for the ice creams. I normally get Nutella or custard but I wanted to try black sesame. Black sesame would be good for people who prefer nutty flavors and not too sweet. The dough is mochi and slightly sweet. There are no chairs or table but there is a standing self or picnic right outside. Parking is free and out front .

The overall food is great. Green tea ice cream is really nice, creamy yet not too sweet. However, the fish was cold on the ice cream. It would be nice if they warm it up a bit before serve on the ice cream, it became a bit hard and lost the chewy texture.

They have a a small selection of flavors to choose from and have combos to choose from that they change weekly. There's also a wide selection of toppings to pick from. This place is very tasty. There are only a few standing tables tho/no seating.

Korean creamy ice cream that is quite popular for their fish shaped Taiyaki pastry. We were over in the area snagging some bubble tea and decided to up the sweet meter even further off the charts. This shop is small no inside seating is available. There is a small standing counter that can fit maybe 5/6 comfortably. They do have a small wooden area that is directly outside the store but its design is a bit abstract. I opted for matcha soft serve dusted either match powder and my kids got the cookies and cream with an oreo cookie dust. The soft serve was delicious, the portion was generous so we probably could have split one. In soft serve fashion it melted quickly. We also ordered 2 Taitaki filled with Oreo and red bean to go. We perhaps should have eaten these fresh as they tend to get soggy and deflate the longer you wait to eat. I ended up re-baking them in the oven when we arrived home to crisp them back up a little. My kids oggled over the crock charm, but couldn't bring myself to spend $10 bucks on them (we lose them like crazy). Parking was a bit difficult to locate as it shares the lot with several neighboring businesses and restaurants.

Small shop at the corner by various Korean barbecue and bubble tea establishments. It's not the ideal place to sit and chat... but there is a quaint seating area with benches outside. The service was quick. The taiyaki was also delicious. It's 80% bread and soggy though, but I still thought it was delicious. Compared to the Katy location, this place definitely had less people but quality wasn't as great. Still a decent dessert place though.

Great high-quality soft-serve, and I got the new sweet corn flavor which was excellent. You can also get toppings like cereal/cracker dust and fruity pebbles specks. Service was excellent - commitment to getting the toppings just right and perfect and also prompt. Small interior but there is a seating area or deck outside. Also there deal of two taiyaki for less than $5 was good - got the custard and sesame. The cheddar is also great and goes with the filling. Definitely recommended!

Love me some Taiyakis and this place has taiyakis. Yay! Those filled with red bean paste were awesome! Custard and matcha fillings were good. The Cheddar Cheese and Oreo were A-OK. Warning: LEAVE ALONE the black sesame! Never ever in my life I had such a horrible taiyaki filled with super salty black sesame paste which tasted so gross and freaked me out big time. OMGEEEEEE. I thought it was a mistake in the first place like whoever was making the black sesame paste might have put in salt rather than sugar by mistake. So, when I went back to buy more taiyakis, I asked a staff member about the salty black sesame taiyaki that I had and confirmed that (to my surprise!) the black sesame taiyaki was meant to be salty, like soooooo salty and sooooooo gross. OH MY GOD. The matcha and ube swirl soft serve was alright. The two flavors would stand out better on their own but when swirled up, the whole thing tasted kinda strange.

A small ice cream parlor in a strip mall. There is no seating area inside, but they have a long standing table for customers to enjoy the ice cream. There is an outdoor public benches for anyone though. The ice cream parlor sells soft serves and taiyaki. Flavors change seasonally which is nice so that customers will keep coming for more. This time I had the milk soft serve in a cup, and the strawberry upside down ahboong with Nutella filling taiyaki. Both soft serves were smooth and not overly sweet. The milk soft serve was good. The strawberry soft serve had a good flavor. The taiyaki was crispy but the Nutella was hard. It would have been better for it to be more runny. This is definitely a place I would come back repeatedly.

The hot buffet bar was not filled at all, some were even just empty. I found it disappointing that we didn't get to try a lot of their items. The hot buffet bar was really scarce, I mean, just fried dumplings and fries but they were refilled really slow and some never had refills. The boba bar was empty and never filled. The DIY ramen station was closed off. I tipped only because I felt like I had to, but the service was abysmal. I would come back but maybe for lunch instead of dinner. Hopefully service improves.

When you pickup your food, the sit down area is dark, and there isn't much of a waiting area. It looks to be run by two folks, the cook and the cashier. It is probably best to order over the app, as the one cashier is busy packing the food in the fancy packaging and dealing with the money transactions. Since it is only two people, it can be slow to get your food when it is busy. I waited an additional 20 mins from the projected time it was suppose to be done. As for the food, the miso ramen was packed in this fancy box. The box contained the soup separated from the noodles with a few side dishes. I believe this is the only vegi ramen they offer. It is nothing special. The broth is basically miso soup with soy sauce. (2 out of 5) The cold sesame noodles was better. It had more flavor. I have passed by their restaurant many times, but it never occurred to me to go in until one day I was surprised to see them ranked in the top 100 ramen places nationally on Yelp! With less than 300 reviews, I was skeptical at first but was intrigued to give it a try, and I'm so glad that I did! I visited on a Friday afternoon right before New Year's and was greeted warmly by the staff inside. As I was indecisive on what to order in the ramen section, I asked the staff for suggestions. She was kind to walk me through the menu without rushing to get an order, and she mentioned that their most popular item is actually the beef noodles. That was all I needed to make a decision to try the beef noodles. While waiting for the food, I chatted with the staff and learned that the restaurant opened right before the pandemic then shifted their model to take-out only as the pandemic begin. Since then, they've tried to make use of their restaurant space to return to dine-in but it has been difficult to find reliable workers. In the interest of keeping the quality consistent and customers happy, they've decided to make sacrifices to keep the business model as is for take-out only instead of scaling up with additional staff, which is such a shame given the rent in the area is not cheap and they have such a beautiful space! When you hear "take-out only", I know what you're thinking, BUT I promise you this is the best takeout food you will ever have! The packaging is very well-designed to keep the flavors and ingredients at its finest! As I mentioned, I ordered the beef noodles, and typically noodle dishes are not ideal for takeout, but Asia Blue separates the soup from the noodles so that the noodles are not soggy, and even after half hour, the soup stayed warm and flavorful. The noodles also came paired with many mini side dishes as palate cleansers, which were a nice surprise. From my conversation with the staff, I've also learned that this is one of the rare places that truly make their broth fresh from premium ingredients! You can be sure that it's MSG free and packed with healthy nutrients, and that's a quality that you can taste. I highly recommend this place for your next ramen adventure, and I certainly will be returning again very soon to try the other menu items. :)
