The bratwurst is a little better than one-star. Consistency is not typical of bratwurst. Fkavor has hints of bratwurst, but is missing a more richer flavor. Based solely on the bratwurst, save your money and but two gingerbread milk shakes next to Test Track. I enjoy the Bietharten, but Sommerfest might as well close. I had heard they had some good potato salad from this youtube channel I watch so I had to try it out for myself. The potato's weren't the type of cooked I like but I suppose they make them differently in Germany. But it was a nice snack in the end. I had someone in my group try the bratwurst and they loved it! My parents also love the bratwurst from this quick service. So I do insist you get that the next time you come here. It came with chips which were a good side. I just wish it had french fries instead. Outside they have a couple tables out for you to sit on, sometimes you might have to camp out to get a chair but for the most part, you can eat and walk if you'd like. Sommerfest is not bad for a quick service (dining plan) option, if you like sausages. I went with the bratwurst, which comes on a roll with sauerkraut. The bratwurst itself was good. Not too salty like most theme park food tends to be. The bread was pretty chewy though. It was almost hard to eat. Good thing we got some German beers to wash it all down! I ordered the Altenmünster Oktoberfest while my Dad ordered the Radeberger Pilsner. Both tasted refreshing and not too dark. (but then again, I like super dark beers so the Oktoberfest might be too much for some people). For $4 more, you could get the beer in a souvenir mug. But when I saw it was just a cheapo plastic one, I opted out of it. Finally, for dessert, there weren't many options. It was either apple strudel with vanilla sauce or a black forest cake. All four of us went with the apple strudel, which now looking back, I don't know why we did that. We should have done two and two. (Oh well - should have, would have, could have). It had way too much vanilla sauce on it to the point where the strudel was drenched in it. It also had raisins, which I'm not a fan of so as you can tell, this dessert was definitely not the best I've ever had. I probably wouldn't come back here if I visit EPCOT again, but that's mainly because would eventually like to try all the food from each of the countries. Not too busy for a Saturday afternoon. I wanted a Dunkel, but this location didn't have it. The bratwurst was $10.99. Everything about it tasted fresh. The bread wasn't stale and the sauerkraut was warm. With the chips, it was a very filling meal. I added mustard which I highly recommend. Unbelievable. This place is just amazing. In a theme park that is known for its delicious food, this place stands out. If you're on the Disney dining plan, you won't get a better quick service meal in Epcot than this place. First, you get a choice of bratwurst or frankfurter. I tried my best to eat or drink my way around the world at Epcot. Unfortunately I didn't have enough days but I made it out to Germany. The people working here are super friendly. Since I wasn't familiar with German beer, I asked a bunch of questions and the person at the counter was nice enough to explain everything to me. I ended up going with the stein Oktoberfest and a bratwurst for good measures. The beer and bratwurst were good but nothing special. This used to be one of our favorite counter-service restaurants in WDW. It's still up there, but things have changed over the years. For starters, they went two years without putting out the Gouden's Mustard. That's just being cheap. it's back out as of this afternoon. Second, they used to put large hunks of baked ham in the sauerkraut they served with the bratwurst. Those days are long gone. But when they did this, it was absolutely exceptional! We like to blame Disney's "free-dining" plan. Give people free food, and cheapen it up at the same time. I'm surprised myself in giving Sommerfest the perfect 5 but they really deserve it. The menu is simple but hey that just means those items have to be very good. We ordered a bratwurst to start and it was delicious. The roll was a bit large compared to the sausage but it was still a great roll. The sausage was not dry or overcooked at all as well. We then ate the frangipane peach tart and it was something else. It was delicious and not just a peach filling inside but a peach right on top. I really enjoyed it and hope it's there next time as well. The grapefruit Hefeweizen was actually a huge standout for my wife. Surprisingly maybe Germany is the can't miss land in Epcot for food and drinks. read more

Great quick service place to get your German craving on! Hubby use to love getting the Bratwurst, but ever since the new Currywurst appeared, it totally reminds him of his birthplace! Sliced up bratwurst smothered in curry ketchup might not sound good but is definitely worth the try! Also comes with fresh chips with paprika tossed with it. I haven't had it since 2011...used to be our favorite.. so very very disappointed.. the roll was hard as a rock and stale- very surprised at the quality... the wurst part ( no pun intended) was the Bratwurst.. unfortunately they were very slow not busy at all and the Brat must have been sitting there for hours- so overcooked it crumbled- it was horrible.. Since Mom doesn't drink, and was already giving me the glare for even wanting a beer, I wasn't going to force her to wait in an unnecessary line. Service inside was super quick, even with only one open register. I wasn't sure which beer I wanted so I asked the cashier for her suggestion. Once I told her I preferred paler beers, she insisted the Altenmünster Oktoberfest ($9) was just what I wanted. And she was right! My sister and I wanted a quick bite before the fourth of July fireworks. I saw the suggestions for the nudel gratin (baked mac and cheese and definitely not the boxed kind!) the cold potato salad (romaine lettuce, red baby potatoes, eggs, and homemade mayo-like sauce) during my disney research so we definitely ordered these. They were so good that unfortunately we realized we forgot to take pictures :/ We finished our meal with caramel popcorn at karamel-kuche (near to sommerfest) so we were thankful that we didn't order a large meal there. One con about the place is that there is only outside seating for Sommerfest so it may not be accommodating for families. The Nudel Gratin was pretty fantastic, it was creamy and rich. Very cheesy! I was born in Germany and I love going to the German Pavilion in EPCOT to get some of the tasty treats that they have to remind me of my birth place. Recently they added a new dish - Currywurst. This is amazing!! I love the new addition. It brings me back to my childhood of eating it in Berlin. It's basically a bratwurst sliced up and topped with a curry ketchup. There's nothing like it here in the states and is a must try for anyone wanting to try something from Germany. Pair it up with an Oktoberfest beer and you're good to go. This place was great. We had a dining plan and hubby had the great idea of running in and asking if a soft pretzel would count as a snack. To my surprise it did. We got a huge pretzel, large coke and mustard and only used to snacks to get it. I really enjoyed the food here. I'm a finicky eater and did some homework prior to visiting Epcot and so I knew this place is the one I wanted to try. It exceeded my expectations. I tried the Bratwurst (without sauerkraut) and paprika chips along with the Nudel Gratin (mac and cheese). The Bratwurst has excellent flavoring and is better than I recall ever getting at say a ballpark. Some may think it looks small, but it's the typical size with the bun being notably large. The chips were fine, but I was too enamored with the bratwurst to really remember anything much about them. Then came the Nudel Gratin. My friend had already been eating hers and said it was really good. She was on the money with that assessment. Don't expect any crazy flavor, but it still hit the spot. Have to mention the service as well. Everyone was nice and pleasant and it was already mid afternoon. I got a free Black Forest Cake since I spoke a little German and have a credit card with a German flag on it. The Black Forest Cake wasn't very good if you ask me, so I'd try the Strudel instead, but it's the thought that counts. If I'm ever back at Epcot this will be a must have meal for me. read more

If you're ready for something authentic, I'd steer clear. I didn't think you could mess up something as simple and beautiful as a bratwurst but I guess this place has managed to. The bread is just a cold roll. Honestly for $10.99, I expected at LEAST a toasted bun. The bun also fell apart immediately. The sauerkraut is lacking in flavor. The brat itself was decent but again, how do you mess one up? The condiments they offer are spicy mustard, mustard and ketchup. The cast members here are happy to converse in German with you, and are regular people who are proud of their culture. This is the best spot in the park to pick up a traditional salted pretzel since the lager beers are a good match. The tables can get crowded during peak seasons, but the food is made for being on the run. Try coming here during January or February, it's a nice quiet get away spot in the park. read more

The currywurst chips were okay but tasted heavy and oily. The nudel gratin was average. The food had a fast food, processed vibe to it. Since it is inside Epcot, it is also over priced. Frankfurter or bratwurst? Those are basically your two choices. And I got to try both. The frankfurter is like an extra long hot dog. And I much prefer the brat, which is like a sausage and so much more flavorful. Stupid me, and I rode the Mission: Space ride right before eating here. So I was super nauseous and almost didn't get to enjoy these tasty dishes. I had to get a soda, which made me feel a bit better. And then I split both the frankfurter and the bratwurst with a friend. I think they both had sauerkraut, which I'm too much of a fan of, but I slathered them both ketchup and mustard and I was good to go. I remember the bun being really good too - like one of those French rolls. They also serve alcohol and some good-looking desserts as well. How it works is that you order at the cashier and then pick up your food at the counter. There was somewhat of a line but it moves along quickly. Then there's tables and chairs inside and out to sit and enjoy your food. I recommend outside since the courtyard has a pretty fountain and every hour or half hour or so the clock plays music and figurines come out to accompany it. It's a good alternative to the biergarten, which is an AYCE place next door, which I can imagine can be pricey and has a long wait. read more

If you're looking for the cheapest meal in Epcot and you're not picky, this is probably it. The bratwurst (about 3.5oz cooked, without the bun) is under $7 and comes with sauerkraut, and if you're vegetarian the news is even better: you can get a side of sauerkraut (I think it's sautéed in butter or oil) for only $1, and when I got two orders, they weighed in at around 6oz each. That's nearly half a pound of veggies for a buck! And yes, I did bring a scale so I could weigh food. You're welcome. read more

Had the noodle gratin and the currywurst. Our friends ordered the bratwurst. They said that our currywurst was much better. I thought it was a bit on the sweet side, but this is my first time having the dish, so I don't know the correct flavor profile. I did like the house made chips that came with the dish. The noodle gratin was meh. They no longer make/sell the pretzels here. Instead, just around the corner is a standalone kiosk that sells beer and pretzel. I did go there to try it out. The guy there said that they were made just 5 min before. I thought they were good...they looked more authentic than the pretzels being sold in the rest of the park, but they're not all that memorable. All in all, I could've saved my appetite for more smoked turkey legs:) read more
