The crew did miss one section of the living room wall above the windows, and I didn't catch it during the final walkthrough. It included engineered hardwood and porcelain tile flooring, Nuage slab counters everywhere, sinks, faucets, toilets... We did use outside electricians and painters, which we were told had to wait an entire week while the hardwood floors guy did his thing. I was texted a message by A Flores himself that the dude would straight up walk off the job if anyone else were there at the same time, even if they weren't interfering with his work. Because of this person's refusal to play nice with others, we had to stay in a hotel an additional week while the other work (baseboards, painting) got finished. I can't give five stars to this business, even though the owner is EXTREMELY clear when communicating and he'll never leave your messages hanging, waiting for a response. I did not like being responsible for buying/picking every single thing (sinks, faucets, a ton of flooring, caulk color) and it would've been nice to have had higher quality suggestions made so that I didn't feel I had to find my own materials. They did a great job on our niche, which has thinks like rounded ceramic tiles instead of the vile shluter thing that they had been planning on doing. There was also quite an issue with getting a double full bullnose edge to the counters: I assumed they were going to do that but they basically nickel and dimed us to get it the way we wanted. Lesson: be extremely careful when your project has a lot of moving parts (and people).

I continued sporadically with this contractor, through 2 bathrooms and an interior door replacement (19 doors) until 2013 when he left Colorado. I continued to use Bellwether for many more projects. She (Diana) repainted most of our house, room by room, in phases. These were walls by roller paint and brush trim of paint eras dating to the 80s and 90s. Much flaw repair was needed. Impeccable work. The trim looks like satin. Because this house was originally constructed in 1950 with actual plaster walls, remodeled with an addition in 1978 with drywall, it is always a challenge to have things done. On any given wall, there may be a transition from one construction to another. The texture appearances were uneven. Diana was like a miracle worker, improving every room she touched. She has an impeccable eye for color and light. She is also pleasant, a very neat painter to have around if you need to be home while she is working but also so trustworthy in your space that you do not need to be there yourself. She also has other workers to add for bigger projects, but mine have always been small enough for just her. She can be busy, so it may need to be scheduled well in advance but she is flexible to adjust if you have a change of plans. Also know, she will devote herself to getting every job right, so sometimes you may need to be flexible too. Some jobs, like mine, can turn up unexpected issues. And she does her best to deal with them, always successfully. The largest unusual job she did for my contractor here was the finish work for the 19 maple interior doors, to replace a mix of doors on both vintages of the house to make it a more cohesive look. They were unfinished maple which were stained a warm color, then clear coated for durability, to blend with various floorings. She achieved an outstanding look, that people notice when they enter such an overall "plain" house. I have not used another painter since she started here. I am always willing to wait until she can fit my next job into her schedule. She works by time and materials and uses quality paints and I have found her prices very fair.
