Happy birthday my friend! Let's go again!

Hot and New Dessert and drink location! A Five Star Review! It's located on Maunakea Street, directly across of the Sing Cheong Bakery. Grand opening was in April 2026! Thank you Yelp Elite All Star Irene M. For recommending this new place! Service is friendly and easy going here. Owner Fennie recommended Song's Coconut Pudding to try. I had to try an item with its namesake. Yelp Elite All Star Irene M. Ordered the Honey Iced Lemon Tea at 25% sweet. I loved the two layered (coconut water gel on the bottom and coconut pudding on the top), not too sweet and very refreshing Song's Coconut Pudding! It was delicious and satisfying on a warm Thursday afternoon. I would recommend this namesake pudding to all! Tables, chairs, counter tops and floor are all clean here. Prices are reasonable. The pudding is $6.75 and the Honey Iced Lemon Tea is $5.50. Street and municipal parking available. A perfect way to support Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month which is observed in the month of May.

Happy International Tea Day... Something that I can easily celebrate and enjoy as well and on this Thursday I finally made my way to Song Kee Dessert a newbie on Maunakea Street right beside the Municipal Parking entrance is a great but busy spot and even on this late afternoon there is a steady flow of customer and I can totally see why. They serve Taiwanese style desserts with soup and puddings which I do love but on this hot afternoon it. Just had to be tea...I was torn between the Jasmine Pineapple or this Honey Iced Lemon Tea both sound so refreshing but I went with my usual favorite of the Lemon Tea which gives me energy as well it was nice that I can adjust the sweetness and ice level as well. The service is so very nice and friendly with a few tables and some bar type seating available in this air conditioned shop is a great place to relax and enjoy and that they are open until 6pm there's lots of time to grab your treat after a day of adulting. Pudding and sauces are house made is great knowing that it's freshly made is a unique find and appreciated as a crafted tea is something that I do enjoy and know that this place is a great way to celebrate AAPI month and our local small biz. Thank you!

Breakfast in Honolulu, Hawaii... Sundays are the best days to go to Chinatown because metered street parking is free! I found Song Kee Dessert across the street from Sing Cheong Yuan Bakery, and next to Cindy's Lei Shoppe. The space used to be occupied by Domo. The interior is cute and service is friendly and helpful! The kind woman gave me a free sample of the sweet potato gau! I ordered the gee mah koo (black sesame walnut soup) dessert and a Jasmine Lime Iced Tea. The soup is usually thicker, like a pudding, so this one was lighter and not too sweet! The iced tea was on the tart side, but refreshing! We had a pleasant foodie adventure here and look forward to returning!

New Taiwanese dessert shop in Chinatown! We got the taro/grass jelly ice and milk pudding with black sesame paste. The taro dessert had a soft poi-like taro paste in it that was sooo good! And the milk pudding is light and paired so well with the nutty black sesame! I've never had these desserts but they were very yummy. The service was amazing, the cutest auntie helped us :) It is a cute shop with a few tables available! I would definitely go back!

How has no one else reviewed the awesome desserts here yet?!? We were walking through Chinatown and saw this cute shop serving Taiwanese Ice desserts and we had to stop in. The shop is adorable and there are actually inside tables where you can enjoy your dessert which is rare in this area. We ordered from the delightful cashier and she answered all of our questions. When our order arrived it was outstanding. We had the D3 which was Grass Jelly Deluxe with Taro Mochi Ball, Grass Jelly, Pudding, Taro, Red Beans, and Vanilla Ice Cream. It was great and so refreshing! The serving was plenty for two people to share and the price was very reasonable. You need to stop in here right away! I think they will be crowded soon!

Such a cute Hong Kong desert shop! Stumbled across this hole in the wall after lunch and noticed this desert place! The honey iced lemon tea and the herbal jelly with honey was so refreshing! I recommend the curry fish balls as a savory snack! There is a very wide range on their menu considering they just opened. But so far it's really good!!

This was a sweet spot to come after shopping in Chinatown! They have a variety from drinks, puddings, gao, soup, cheesecake and cheung funn. The desserts I tried was not to sweet or heavy. Very light and refreshing. The honey lemon tea brought me back to Hong Kong. Will be back to try the cheesecake!

Jasmine milk tea is very refreshing, especially when you select lower sugar level.

The jasmine milk tea at lower sugar level is very refreshing. The ambiance and service is very good. We definitely appreciate the AC being on full blast. An oasis in the summer heat!

Little gem at Chinatown. Is very refreshing and perfect for the summer time. Inside very clean and have some place to sit down to chill. We lucky have some seat which have to join with other customer. The staff very nice.

Yummy dessert shop!! - Basque Double Cheese Cake: perfect to share with two people - Song's Double Skim Milk Pudding: comforting, light subtle taste of sweetness, very nostalgic and reminded me of something my mom used to make when I was a kid - Enping-style Cheong Fun: super yummy and savory!

So many favorites! We have so many favorites it's hard to try new things here. We recently tried the honey walnut shrimp and it was good big shrimps fried perfectly with honey sauce and it's on top of potato chips so you get a little bonus of honey chips too! That was definitely a nice surprise and something different from any other restaurant. Service here is always great! We ordered and not even 5 minutes later our food was already coming out. They always come by to fill your water and check on you, They have their own men and women's bathroom located in the back which is clean. As it turns out, the restaurant was full on a week day for dinner so it was good to have a reservation. We ordered six items and started with the salted egg yolk chicken wings. Incredible flavor, crispy outside and juicy inside. This appetizer was so delicious! Next came the green beans and the sweet sour pork. My goodness, talk about perfect green beans, this was still crisp and not over cooked. Nicely seasoned and not too oily...I could eat that everyday! If you enjoy Honey Walnut Shrimp, they do an excellent job here. I like that it didn't have an abundance of mayonnaise. In fact, our batch had an added bonus for a nice crunch effect....kettle potato chips, whole and not crumbs. Might even have been the Maui Onion flavor, not sure but it was good! Last but not least, our family dinner enjoyed the House rice noodles and steamed fish. The thin rice noodles had generous portion of shrimp, beef, and vegetables. Quite hearty, here's to long life :) Easy to find, lots of free parking, not in Chinatown, and BYOB. What's not to like?

The first thing I saw when I walked in was the owner making dumplings by hand. That immediately gave me the feeling I was in the right place. Growing up I watched my own Mom make our version of dumplings, so seeing that kind of care and craftsmanship felt familiar. The owner was warm and very welcoming, and as each dish was completed she brought it out fresh from the kitchen, which gave me a chance to taste the food while it was still steaming. It was hot, but I could not stop myself from sampling it :) Everything I ordered was delicious and clearly made fresh. I'll be honest though, watching the dumplings being prepared right in front of me was a real highlight. I'm sure that some of you out there can relate to this. I also had the chance to meet owner's mother and another gentleman who I believe may have been family, which added to the welcoming atmosphere. The restaurant is small, but it did not feel rushed. We had a good time talking story while the food was being prepared. It was a challenge for me to drive home with all that food in the back of my car. I was tempted to pull over and just indulge, but I remembered that I had to share it lol My summary? Good food, genuine hospitality, and a great first impression. I will definitely be back.

The minute chicken is nicely charred and flavorful with a little gravy. Their cake noodle is one of the best in town. Combine them and you have their signature dish. They raved over the food from KRB, so I suggested we come here for dinner. To play it safe I called ahead and made a reservation for a round table as I tend to order an array of different dishes. To our surprise, KRB wasn't busy that weekday evening with both private dining rooms occupied and only one other table of 4 during our arrival. I asked the family what they wanted to eat and because they are big eaters who also enjoy leftovers, our initial food order consisted of 9 different dishes that included doubling up both noodle orders. Overall, our meal was above average with family favorites of tofu casserole that was so delicious that I ended up getting another one. The seafood crispy noodles were also phenomenal as it was executed well with great texture contrast and finesse in flavors. Personally I enjoyed the free range chicken with ginger onion sauce and the sautéed lamb with leeks. We also appreciated the complimentary dessert of chilled coconut milk tapioca. Service was above average as the staff were attentive to our needs and exchanged plates halfway during our dinner. The only setback for me was the ambiance as it was semi dark and dingy. The interior could use an upgrade. Recent returned visits to KRB is truly deserving of 5-stars from me.
