    Daughter's mermaid bday cake!
    Cin Cin G.

If you're looking for great taste and good presentation in cakes this is the place! I got my daughter's bday cake from here and it was so delicious. While I was there I treated myself to picking up some pan Dulce for the fam, and OMG it was so delicious with my coffee in the morning!! I would definitely recommend this place, and will definitely be returning to pick up some bread for the holidays!!

Ordered a cake for my son's birthday, the best chocolate cake. Moist and delicious, I will be ordering my cakes from here all the time. The smell of pan dulce when you walk in is amazing.

Lately (especially since one of their family members had an unfortunate accident), it's been frustrating to try to get anything: they don't make the butterflies every week, and I've made 4 trips to over the past month and a half and only succeeded in getting anything at all on one occasion. First trip was mid-January. Turns out that was the first day they had reduced hours because of the injury and I was there an hour after they closed. Second trip (about a month later): they didn't have butterflies until the week after. Third trip the following week: I forgot about the family member who was out (or maybe I thought they'd be back because that's how we do), so I artived after close again. Fourth trip: finally got the goods! Was it worth it? The almond cookies were good, but the butterflies were a bit flat and not airy, like they were just deep-fried wonton skins with thickened sugar syrup on them. Both times (out of 4 attempts!) I actually caught them when they were open (granted, I'm an early afternoon person, not an early morning one), there were only 1 or 2 cakes in the case, a bunch of bags of cookies, and, on the one successful visit, I got the last order of butterflies. Haven't had their strawberry cake in years (that first trip was for my birthday cake, womp womp), but they look the same. Moral of the story: get there early or be disappointed...or just drive to Chinatown.

My partner loved the coconut flavor (even though I'm not usually a coconut fan), and after trying it myself, I have to admit it was really good. The coconut paired so well with the coffee, and the cold foam was perfectly creamy and added so much to the overall flavor. The name of the shop itself is really cool and the soccer theme was a nice touch. They had soccer cleats displayed and a game playing on the TV, which added to the vibe. We didn't spend too much time inside, but there was plenty of seating and it looked really comfortable. It was fairly busy, which made the atmosphere feel warm and welcoming. I also noticed they had community events planned for the holidays, which I thought was really nice. Overall, I'd definitely come back.

She seemed unsure at times and had to step away multiple times to ask questions in the back, which made me a bit concerned about the order details being captured correctly. Initially, I asked for the writing on the cake to be in blue and pink ("Coming Sept 2026"), and she confirmed it could be done. However, I later changed my mind and requested the writing to be in white instead. She said she would update the order form, but unfortunately that change was not reflected when I picked up the cake. When I received the cake, the writing was not only done in blue and pink, but it also looked messy and poorly done, which was really disappointing for such a special occasion. I didn't say anything at pickup because I didn't want to make the moment more stressful. That being said, the cake itself was actually delicious--I ordered carrot cake, and the flavor was great. Overall, if you're just looking for a tasty cake, they do a good job. But if you want detailed or neat writing/design work, I would be cautious based on my experience.
