Inside the restaurant the ceiling in the small dining area was similar to galvanized siding. It was shiny new. I didn't ask if the dining area was a new addition. The shiny caught my attention. I believe there were 12 booths for seating. We were the only customers inside sitting while Mike, the owner, was back in the kitchen preparing our foods. We introduced ourselves and told Mike we drove over there because we heard so many great things about his food and that his restaurant was clean. It was clean too! Mike brought our foods out and we headed to the car. As we were about to leave, Mike came out with a sample of his hamburger soup on the house. What a lovely gesture. We thanked him and his wife and headed home to devour our haul. The smoked chicken was delicious! We thoroughly enjoyed the fried okra, pintos and fried potatoes.
