Wish it were possible to give one star. This place is slow and has the reputation to continuously be slow. I suggest you drive 10 miles to Madison, AL and then back. You'll have your milkshake and be home before they take your order here. Don't bother complaining. Just drive to Madison or go somewhere else. How freaking hard is it to get an order right? In the past 3 weeks my husband has brought sonic home for lunch about 4 times. When someone orders a burger with mustard & tomato only, why does it always come with cheese, mayo, pickles and onions? Every time the order is screwed up. Receipt shows correct order but it's always wrong. I get that there will be the occasional screw up but EVERY TIME? C'mon Sonic, get it together! read more

So I went here about a year ago but my family likes to repeat my story so I figured I'd share haha. So I came in at around an hour and a half before they are closed. After 15 min of pushing the button we were able to order shakes then 30 min passes by so we decide to order some wings and we prepaid for everything. The lady finally comes out with shakes and ice cream all over her uniform and she apologized and said the ice cream machine broke. The shakes were both the wrong flavor and it had ice cream all over the sides. Then another 30 min passes by and we're wondering where our wings are? Then the lights turn off so I go up to the window and I said hey I ordered wings about 30 min ago and I already paid. So as the manager was chewing something she laughed and said "sorry I forgot, keep your money and I'll bring some out for you" (after I just said I paid) so after a few min she comes out with cold and the wrong flavor of wings. I got home past midnight and my mom laughed and believed me because that's they're reputation and they do nothing to fix it. read more

Guys trying to steal your girlfriend, waits that are as long as I-65, I'm at a loss for words. I downloaded the Yelp app while waiting for them to take my order just so I could post this review and I definitely had the time to spare. If you happen to like sitting in your car staring at a brick wall for lengthy periods of time and you have 3-5 hours to kill then this is the place for you. The one star (that is required to be able to post this review) is for all of the really cool trucks with their don't tread on me flags that drive by and rev their engines. The good news is if you're hungry you have time to go get something to eat before you get the chance to order and if you're not then you'll almost be starved by the time they take it. Logan is a great movie set in the near future, where a weary Logan cares for an ailing Professor X in a hide out on the Mexican border. But Logan's attempts to hide from the world and his legacy are up-ended when a young mutant arrives, being pursued by dark forces. After pushing the red button I went down the road to cinemagic and watched Logan. With a runtime of 2 hours and 21 minutes, I was able to return to the red button still flashing. Anyways, it was a fantastic film. I loved every minute of it. I would give Logan a 4.8/5! Unlike this sonic which I gave 1 star. read more

This review does not even deserve a 1 star! There are 2 manager's of Sonic in Athens, AL that are mother and daughter and they are very rude. This location has been through multiple employee's. The work environment is hostile. I know working with the public is not easy and it can be very frustrating and most of the employee's at this location are young. It doesn't matter how old you are you should never be called out in front of co-workers by management as well as having to listen to curse words being used. THE MANAGERS ARE NOT PROFESSIONAL! On 7/20/17 around 830PM cars were lined up around the building waiting to have their order taken. It was so bad that the fill in manager from Decatur was walking from car to car apologizing to the customers. Most customers just left. The young ladies that were working the window were in the back talking on their phones and cutting up, not having a care in the world. I have pictures of the working manager filling orders and working the drink machine while the young ladies were doing nothing. One of the carhops spoke up and told the co-workers they needed to come up front and do their jobs. The young ladies refused due to they did not like the car hop telling them what to do. The manager had already tried telling them and was ignored. The health rating at this store is 76. How does the owners let manager's curse while talking to employees? This Sonic is always busy and on that night there is no telling how much money was lost due to a 16yr and 21yr old. I believe the EEOC should do some investigating on this store! read more
