I walk in and immediately see all of the cheap wine available there so I started taking pictures of it and Mike went looking for the buzz balls that are super tasty like a mild mudslide and he grabbed 4 of them while talking to an old man in the back of the place. So I grab 2 bottles 1 Gallo Cabernet Sauvignon and 1 Gallo Moscato sweet white wine which were $5 bones a piece and we got up to the counter and Mike offered to buy the old man's wine!! Known for their delicious and diverse king cakes, they have all sorts of treats and special items. If they don't have it, they can usually order it as well. I was searching for a unique beer to bring some friends, and they have one of the largest and most unique selections in the state. The list of beers is growing every week as well. It's almost overwhelming all the different types, but hey, just go back and get another kind later! Their chicken salad is probably the best in town. It has flavor and larger pieces of chicken, so it's not a spread like others in town. Their pimento spread is great for parties as well. They have tons of different cheeses and olives and different Calandros brand goodies. Their produce is always fresh and reliable. They don't tend to cater to special diets, so if you have special dietary needs or restrictions, you may have to go to another store for those. But by nature, you can find items that will work for you. Top all of that with friendly owners, friendly staff, and friendly people all around, and it always makes an enjoyable shopping experience!
