The parking lot was completely full, so after circling around and eventually finding street parking, we figured the place must be popular. Unfortunately, that turned out to be the high point of the experience. The main restaurant was fairly full, so we were seated in a large, dark bar area in the back. And then... nothing happened. For more than 30 minutes. Eventually, a waiter appeared and took our order. Then another 30+ minutes passed before the food arrived. Somehow, even our iced tea didn't make it to the table until the food did. All told, we spent roughly an hour sitting at an empty table without so much as a beverage, and about 90 minutes from the time we arrived until we actually had food in front of us. At that point, the whole experience was becoming almost comical. We ordered a cod burger with fries, a Caesar salad, onion rings and an iced tea. The cod burger was okay. Nothing memorable, but edible. The Caesar salad was actually good. The fries, however, arrived cold, soggy and thoroughly greasy -- quite an accomplishment considering how long we waited for them. The onion rings apparently embarked on a separate journey altogether, because they never arrived. By then, we'd lost the will to ask about them and just gave up. The grand total for one cod burger with cold fries, a small Caesar salad and an iced tea? $40.00! We mentioned the long wait, forgotten food and other problems to our waiter. He was sympathetic and explained that they were short staffed, which we understand can make things difficult. But being short staffed doesn't make a 90-minute lunch, no drinks for an hour, cold soggy fries and forgotten food any less disappointing -- especially at those prices. By the end, we weren't even angry. The whole thing had crossed over into comedy. Needless to say, on future drives between Oregon and Seattle, we'll be finding a different midway lunch stop.

THE SERVICE IS SO BAD I DOWNLOADED YELP JUST SO I CAN WARN PEOPLE, but the food is pretty good. Unless they f*ck up your order, which they seem to specialize in doing so. Also, they take so long. There was no cars there and it took half an hour for us to get two burgers and tator tots. Maybe if they hired decent workers who actually put effort into their jobs, everyone would stop rating Sonic so poorly on yelp. Instead of practicing roller skating around like a newborn horse, practice making your service a lot more fast and efficient. It's pathetic how long their service takes, just for them to mess up your order. At least they put a few mints in the bag, to try and makeup for having sh@tty service. (: read more

I recently visited Sonic expecting a pleasant experience, but was thoroughly disappointed. I ordered three drinks and was given only one. When I mentioned the mistake, the staff did not address it properly. This lack of attention to detail ruined my visit. I can't recommend this location based on my experience. Totally adore! Since the restaurant is operated by a family, you can immediately sense the affection when you enter. The burgers are genuine. They are aware that you need to check in and out because the hospital is only around the corner. read more
