This location seems to be the only one that knows how to prepare grilled cheese sandwiches. You don't just put some cheese between some dry toast and melt the cheese. The store actually uses some kind of butter spread or something that gives it more flavor and not so dry. And this afternoon it's 94° outside. I suspect they might be shortstaffed and the main person I see bringing food out is probably the person takes the orders and he literally is running from the store out to the vehicles and runs back into the store again. Pulled into drive thru at 7:10 am and pushed the red button. 15 min later I assumed maybe the stall I was at wasn't working so I re-parked in the stall beside me. 5 min goes by and I see a carhop bring a drink out to the car that just pulled up beside me 5min ago. I nicely say 'mam I have bn here for over 20 min, how did that car get their order already since I've bn here alot longer!' The carhop was friendly and said 'I'm so sorry, she placed an online order and I'm the only one here right now.' I said thank u and continued to wait 5 more min to see if she would take my order. Nothing. So I left and went to the sonic on midland and that sonic had my food out to me within 5 min of me placing my order. I went to the Sonic on Grand Ave in Fort Smith, AR and ordered a BLT and it was horrible!!!!!! It was on two pieces of cheap white bread and there wasn't even a slice of bacon on it. Yesterday i placed an order around 8:20ish and they told me to go @8:32 & use the app to let them know i was there and i did. I waited for ab 10 mins because i THOUGHT my drinks drinks were ready but then i pushed the button to ask and they had no clue what i was talking ab out. Then a man came out a few mins later and asked if i was me and he said they were ab to start on my drinks. So therefore it was another 15 min wait. It appears this Drive-In has a management problem. About half the time I stop here there's a problem. Sometimes it's because the fryers aren't running yet at 8am, others it's waiting 15 minutes for a breakfast sandwich. Most if the time the wait in a stall is at least 10 minutes even for simple orders. It appears the priority goes to the drive-thru so the stall orders fall through the cracks. The carhops have always been very friendly as are the voices that take the orders. The orders are usually correct, but often sloppily made. I contacted management (via the Sonic Drive-In survey on the receipt). I received a response apologizing, assuring me that the problems were being addressed, and a promise of coupons. The coupons never materialized and neither did better service. It's not unusual for the franchises in this area to have big problems and this is certainly the case with this Drive-In. It's too bad because with UAFS right next door it seems like it has both a built-in clientele and pool of potential workers from which to draw that could make it a big success. read more

U want it fast, go 2 McD's - BugerKing. They will nuke your buger in 30 seconds. Sonic only promises good food. Another option for ONLY GOOD FOOD is Meyers in Poteau OK. or Mena AR. Sonic and Meyer's have good food and real ice cream for sodas and shakes. Meyer's has good oldies music to dine by. And you might see carhops on skates. McDs and BugerKing will give you shakes made from chicken fat and whatever else is cheap and unhealthy. NEVER complain about a short wait for genuine good food. read more

IF I could do no stars I would!!! This is the second time that I have had a very bad experience at this Sonic!!! We waited in the drive-through for over 5 minutes to place an order the young lady was clearly having difficulty (possibly new) she struggled getting the order and when we got to the window she told it back. The order was wrong as she read it back! Then our drinks came out and they were wrong! We gave it back through the window and had new ones made. We were worried about cleanliness and our health. We asked to speak to the manager and we waited! The manager Jason, came to the window with an attitude! We told him about this being our second time there, and how this time was worse than the first time. He said, "Oh ya, what was so horrible about it.", in a sarcastic tone. We told him about how long the wait was, and he said, "Well you ordered chicken! Meanwhile, he argued over and over! Cars lining up behind us! I told him while you are arguing with us, people are waiting!!!!!! He never gave our receipt and refused a refund of $15 because we paid cash and not a card?
