I'm not really fast food girl. It's only acceptable if: A) If there's no other option for miles and you're so ravenous, you're about to tear off your own arm, dip it in honey mustard and self-cannibalize. B) If you're shame-eating and/or hungover because when dealing with the latter, a frosty fountain Diet Coke might just save your life. But I'll make an exception every single time for Sonic for four reasons: A) Massive drink selection. I am down with tasty beverages and the fact that I can customize a delightful soft drink at Sonic does my little ticker good. Bonus points for their Happy Hour where a girl can get a giant unsweetened blackberry-mint iced tea for $1.21. Dudes, I literally paid for this with the change I found in my car. It was awesome. B) Milkshakes. I am not sweets girl and would much rather shovel pizza into my vast and gaping maw than ice cream any day of the week. But every now and then, I get a jones for a sweet treat and Sonic's milkshakes fulfill that need every time. The coconut cream pie shakes taste like a first kiss, the banana shakes have real banana in them and I would commit an act of bodily harm if you stood between me and a chocolate malt. C) Onion Rings. It is tough to make a good onion ring. Some places feature slimy onions, some places have crappy breading (rhymes with Fake's Fayback Furgers) and some places are Burger King (It's just water and reconstituted onion powder in the shape of a ring! What the hell is that all about? That's not an onion ring! That's the sweatpants of the fast food world!). Sonic's onion rings have a perfect onion-to-breading ratio, they're crunchy and they use this magical batter that I want to pour over everything so I can deep-fry my entire life. D) The Supersonic Burrito. Lemme crack an egg of knowledge here. Unless I'm sitting down at a joint or making them myself, I don't eat eggs out. That fake egg-like good utilized by pretty much every breakfast retailer in the nation? I don't roll with that. But the SuperSonic Burrito (sans sausage 'cause in the words of House of Pain, I never eat pork 'cause a pig is a cop) is pretty much the greatest breakfast sandwich out there. Eggs, tomatoes, onions, jalapenos, cheese and tater tots encased in a soft, warm tortilla. Let me break this down for you in case you're sitting in the cheap seats: They put the tots IN the burrito. IN! So, you take a bite and of all a sudden, a nubbin of deliciously crispy potato hugs your mouth. My only lament regarding the SuperSonic Breakfast Buritto is that it isn't the same size as a Chipotle burrito. Because dear God, I would love to inhale one of Mack Trucks of deliciousness and then, promptly slip into the world's happiest food coma. AND they're served all day long until Mickey D's Only Until 10:30 bullshit. If you're starving and looking for a quick bite, ditch the clown and the king and go Sonic. read more

The new cheese sandwich looks good on the tv commercial but what we got in our order was nothing near the commercial. The bread was not grilled like they show on tv and there was very very little sauce. After we got home, my husband took the sandwich and grilled it on the stove. Was craving some ice cream or shake with the family, and we were in the area and we divided to give sonic a try order a shake and some food the shake were on point nothing to complain about food was was decent and service was ok, my only complaint is that the patio are we're we sat down can be a little more clean, table wise and floor a little pressure washer would be nice, but overall it was nice. read more

Saw an ad on TV for $1.00 chili dogs so decided to try again. The regular price is $2.00, so this was a fabulous deal. When I got there a lady was getting frustrated as the walk up ordering screen said we will be with you in a second and nothing was happening. I was polite and waited behind her, but when a then jumped on another kiosk when I realized she was never going to get served. I think what happens is multiple kiosks ring the one or two tellers at once and sometimes they don't answer similar to business phone numbers. The trick I found out is just to repeatedly buzz in until they verbally answer you, take the order, and you pay up. In my peripheral vision I saw the lady flipping out and getting irritated that I got to order before her and then she realized how the trick works too. The food took about ten minutes to get out to me despite maybe 20 cars and a couple eat-in tables and the two chili dogs were very tasty and filled me up just to the max and not to where I was getting sick (these ones didn't give me a tummy ache or heartburn either). The young waitress that brought me my to-go order was very nice and apologetic for general delay despite having what I am guessing is a hectic and underpaid job. read more

The food was ok the grilled cheese had oil in it, but the chicken sandwich was amazing. The chicken was juicy but not to moist the breading was flavor full and moist and dry at the same time, it was just perfect breading. The sizes confused me a small is to small. So make sure you check the sizes. When you order always say what size never just the item. The wait is kind of long depending on what you ordered. The fries weren't that flavorful. Went to sonic after a concert for some late night food. Sonic always has the best options for shakes - I got myself the cookie dough brownie one. I accompanied it with a side of fries and the meal was delicious. The only disappointing thing was there was a hard piece of something in the milkshake. YOU'RE BETTER OFF EATING OUT OF A DUMPSTER. If you're reading this, I BEG OF YOU DO NOT EAT HERE..do not eat at this Sonics and do not believe these other reviews. If you wanna know why, I encourage you to read till the end. When my cousins & I arrived to this Sonics, we were happy with the way it looked from the entrance and how a couple of the carhoppers were bringing the food to customers in skates. But sooner or later we find out that our expectations for good service and good food was NOT gonna be fulfilled tonight. The carhopper that took our orders was polite but at times she became feisty and impatient with us. After WAITING FOR ALMOST AN HOUR, she finally brought us our food and the bag she brought she DID NOT HAVE WHAT WE ORDERED AT ALL!! It was a whole different order with our receipt stapled to the bag. We eventually called her back and told her what she gave was wrong and she apologized and gave us a new bag whichin had our food. On the ride back from the Sonics, we started going through our food and we were shocked. The 6 piece wings only came with 5, the Mango slushie had no syrup in it, the FRIES WE ORDERED WERE NOT GIVEN TO US, there was NO Buffalo sauce on the 24 piece wings, the mozzarella sticks had NO SAUCE accompanied with it, and last but not least the OREO BLAST we bought had STALE OREOS and NOOO OREOS BLENDED IN THE ICE CREAM..it was only vanilla ice cream with STALE Oreo pieces on top. So we decided to go back to them & fix our orders. BUT IT ONLY GOT WORSE FROM THERE. The same lady who was originally our carhopper served us again & we told what her what she did wrong and she APOLOGIZED AGAIN but you could tell she really wasn't apologetic for her mistakes and was getting frustrated with us. She was not interested in helping us at all because before we could tell her ALL OF OUR problems with the food, she had already disappeared. Finally, after getting our 24 piece wings with sauce on them and the fries we originally ordered, we left the establishment. Now, as we unload the wings and fries from the bag, we notice that the wings have been DROWNED in buffalo sauce! SERIOUSLY DROWNED! The container holding the wings had buffalo sauce almost filling to the top! Then the fries tasted dry and burnt; afterwards they left a bad aftertaste in our mouths. THE CAR HOPPER WHO SERVED US, THE MEST UP ORDERS, AND THE UNPREPARED FOODS RUINED OUR WHOLE NIGHT! PLEASE I BEG OF YOU AGAIN DO NOT GO TO THIS SONICS.... YOU WILL REGRET IT BIG TIME! I got pretty much what I expected. We were there on a busy Friday night, so I expected to wait. But even I was surprised that it took over 30 minutes to order two chili dogs and two sodas. We ended up missing the beginning of the movie we were on our way to see.
