I have stopped at this location many times while shopping at a nearby Walmart. Everytime I go here they are out of half the menu, or some of their equipment is broken. They have been out of Ice Cream, Tater Tots, or the milkshake machine is broken. They never get your order right and the employees are down right rude. The Manager of this restaurant has been absent everytime you ask for him or her. I have managed restaurants in my life and know what's required for good food and customer service. You won't find that here. If this is a franchise store, Sonic needs to revoke the franchise. If it's a company store, Sonic needs to replace the whole staff with people who know how to do their jobs. I had to rate them one star because that's as low a rating you can give on Yelp. This place doesn't deserve one star. Will not be returning. read more

I have been waiting in the drive thru line for about 20 minutes and the cashier is handing out food to the people behind us.

I would give them negative 2 stars if possible! This site has the worst service I have ever experienced!!! I had 2 bad experiences there before but I tried to give them at the benefit of the doubt as one of those was when covid started & everywhere was shorthanded but after my experience tonight I will never go back. I waited 40+ mins for 3 shakes. I had to remind them I was there repeatedly. I requested to cancel my order & get a refund & I was refused. Then they brought me the shakes I requested canceled, warm & completely melted to water consistency. I didn't expect them & requested a refund again. The server went back in & never returned. Finally I pushed the red button again & found out the server never told anyone so I was sitting in the heat with 2 kids at now 9:15pm for nothing. The guy over the speaker refused my refund & said if I wanted my shakes I had to wait another 20 mins minimum. I said no just a refund to which I was denied & told call the 800 # then ignored. After pushing the button again and requesting at least, if nothing else, a copy of my receipt with the transaction number so I could call and get a refund. They completely ignored me & refused to acknowledge me, just kept canceling me out on the screen every time I pushed the button. I did call the 800 number when I got home & they are issuing me a refund but I will have to wait 10 days to get. In the meantime I have two upset, sweaty kids (from sitting in the heat for the better part of an hour) who didn't get their shakes or even an apology from the store. They need to fix their intercom system 3 times i had to repeat my order. I ordered an original pretzel dog with nothing on it and she typed it as the chese dog. I told her 3 times the original plain pretzel dog she said oh ok and when I got my order they still gave me a cheezy one instead if the plain one. read more

This is the worst Sonic I've been to. My boyfriend's burger was missing the lettuce, tomato, and was dry. I ordered a cookie dough blast, and it was just soft serve ice cream, with a few cookie dough pieces tossed on the top. Was not "blasted" at all, and the ice cream was super gritty. There were 2 cars hops that came to our car, not wearing their roller skates (that's what makes it sonic). The kid with the tray couldn't even tell us what our order was, but instead tried to hand us the whole damn tray! On top of that, we didn't get a receipt. Never coming back. read more

Like other reviewers I too have a love/hate thing with Sonic. The restaurant here in Hemet is part of the love side of that equation. The new ordering screens make it so much easier to order. The whole place is so much brighter now, and with the staff skating around, this place is great. I usually go for lunch, the young lady Felicia is amazing in the drive thru window, she brings me my food before I get to the hand out window. Here is a tip.... They are very busy after 8pm, so a word to the wise my wife and I go after 9pm the wait for shakes isn't quite as long.... read more

"Some people wait a lifetime... for a moment like this...." Finally, a Sonic! Was it everything I hoped it would be? It was actually more. They have about a dozen personal drive-in stations where you pull in, press the button and order, and then wait for a server in roller skates to bring you your order. You can take it to go, or hook a tray to your car to eat there. As far as the food - awesome. But awesome on the cheap, greasy level. On a quality level, it's better than Mickey D's, but lower than Jack in the Crack. For the price, it cannot be beat. I cannot believe how cheap this place is. Feed 2 people well for under 10 bucks. We went there twice in a weekend, so we sampled a ton of items. Burgers are good, loaded up nice. They serve tater-tots as well as fries, so if you're into that, this is your place. The onion rings taste like they added sugar to their batter - plus one star. Breakfast burritos are pretty awesome and the jalapenos in there are actually hot. You pretty much can't go wrong with any of the items here. Haven't tried any of the special drinks that they have here yet, but i will write an update because I do intend to be back. Ask me "How would you like that burger?"or "What would you like on that burger?" Instead of jumping ahead of me as I take a breath to finish. Don't tell me "Oh we don't make it that way." because when I ask for it that way, you do. Slow down and ask a few questions if you hear silence for more than 2 seconds. Drive-thru 915pm on a weekday simple order chili-cheese fries,cream slush and fruit slush how much more easier could it get???? I go here occasionally for their half-price happy hour drinks. If you order an UNsweet iced tea, make sure you taste test it before you drive off. On more than one occasion, I've had them give me sweet, even after ordering unsweet and it being correct on the receipt. I even once had a carhop insist she gave me the right beverage (when she hadn't), even after checking it myself...it's not hard to tell the difference between sugar and no sugar. I can understand a mix-up, but the customer shouldn't be made to feel like they are a nuisance because their order was wrong. I wasn't even offered as much as a simple, "sorry about that." And on that note, some of their employees could use an attitude adjustment. My coworker and I went for lunch. I didn't want to do the drive-in thing so we sat outside. Being that I've never been to a Sonic before I didn't know how to order until I tried to go inside. The employee told me to push the red button. After searching the menu and finding more than one red button, we finally ordered. Came for the 50 cent corn dogs. Ordered a combo along with that. I ordered regular fries with it. On my way home my son said they put tots in there. I drove back told them fries missing the guy tells me they need the tots back!??? So I have the tots confiscated, I told the server they made the mistake (caused me to return for the right side order, waste additional time) and they won't give me the damn tots, they have to confiscate them??? Our good friend owns Sonic stocks and was excited to find out that they opened a place in Hemet. Our friend is also a lic pilot so when he said let's fly from Gillespie Field up to Hemet for lunch-how could we say no!! Sonic had a different system than the run of the mill fast food restaurants. They feature a wealth of parking places w/ the food menu and a intercom system to order your food. Once you place your order you can pay right on the menu as it features a card reader for your ATM card, or you can pay cash. After a short time the wait staff roller skates out and delivers your food, pretty cool and efficient. Now since we had a group of 5 people we decided to eat at the tables outside of the restaurant. Now it was kinda weird as they don't have a inside seating, I discovered this after walking into their kitchen. They have the same menu "box" with a red order button that you use to order food. I had the #2 combo, dbl Sonic Burger w cheese , O-rings and Dr. Pepper, pretty good fast food, cheap and tasted good. The fries were good although unsalted, should've opted for the Tots- which is one of their specialties. Lots of burger choices, I need to try the Jalapeno Burger next time, but stuck to the main Burger option to get a baseline on the Beef. The Onion Rings tasted like a waffle cone batter; kinda weird, but not bad. Drinks Drinks Drinks, Lotta options here! She ordered Dr. Pepper and had a shot of Vanilla added to add to the flavor. They even have Diet Dr Pepper on tap;which I've never seen outside of Texas & have a Happy Hour from 2pm -4pm featuring 1/2 price drinks and slushies Holy Shit! They have breakfast, which we didn't try but looked yummy, Sausage Biscuit Dippers w/ Gravy anyone? Health food for sure!! Lots of Ice Cream options too, Banana Split please!! We shall return and try other stuff in the future. We gave our waitress a decent tip as they are really working hard to not trip while speeding out all those damn drinks. Excited for my first time at Sonics!! We pulled up to the drive in area and i know my eyes are bad but the menu's are pretty small! We ordered two asiago chicken sandwiches and they were good!! I also got buffalo boneless wings and my fiance got the island fire boneless wings which was good as well. The only thing i didnt like was waiting 20 minutes for food. They also put our wings in the bag upside down so it was sauce everywhere. For our drinks we ordered two blue raspberry slushes with pop candy which was ok. The meal wasn't worth 26 dollars, we would have been better off somewhere else for better taste and lower price. We will only be back for happy hour! read more

I was very disappointed with the quality of the food served here. The food didn't taste any better then something you get out of the freezer section at your local food market. I do have to say the tater tots are extremely good. I also ordered a slush and it was absolutely gross.
