This is the second time I have tried to go here. Round one we ordered two milk shakes and tater tots. This took 30 mins when I asked to speak the the manager about the slow service and cold tots they said they didn't know where they were they had been missing for an hour! Then today my husband and I went order French toast tots and orange juice. My husband got a coney and chili cheese tots with a lime aid they brought out 4 drinks non were ours. a milk and a mystery bag of food when we told the kid that was not our order he puffed inside and the manage came out asking what we ordered and if he read it back right. I told home the screen was correct then the manager came back with our food and told that is what the other employee brought out! Understaffed and slow. ....Always. Tried ordering from drive through five times in the last month. ... and never got an order in. After not moving in the drive through lane after five minutes each time, we gave up and left. Never gets any better over the years. Ownership needs to invest in more staff to actually be able to complete an order. What's the point of spending millions to build a restaurant when customers can't get an order in to make the money back? I continue to give this Sonic an opportunity to figure out how to get an ice tea, and a shake in a timely manner. Service is absolutely horrible, and the owner must not care about this location because they are losing customers left and right. Also, take a look at the drive thru window next time you go through, it looks like a 1st grade class had a field trip to smear the drive thru window...absolutely disgusting. The last 3 times I've been, I've waited in the drive thru for 20 minutes before finally leaving out of frustration prior to getting my order. By the looks of everyone else's reviews, it is consistent with mine, and is an absolute shame. Go to Chick Fil-A and then go to Sonic and let me know who has their ducks in a row. Stopped by there this morning for a breakfast meal via the drive-thru. I waited at the speaker for a solid 3-4 minutes and repeatedly asked to place an order to no response. As I pulled around the corner, the car at the drive-thru window received their order and pulled away. I pulled up to the window hoping to place an order. The guy at the window hustled to take an order out to a car in one of the stalls. He saw me parked at the window but didn't come back to the window. I could see one of the female employees talking on her cell phone and another standing at the door talking to her boyfriend. I was at the window for another 3-4 minutes trying to get someone's attention to no avail. So, I left. Won't be back to this store again. On a Friday night we dropped in here for some ice cream. After finally deciding on what we wanted we tried to order and then the speaker came on and said the ordering system was broke and we needed to go through the drive through for service. Are you kidding me? There was a long walk up line at the drive thru of teenagers and we refused to do business here so went to another Sonic instead. This is the second time we have stopped here and both times now this place has not even been worth our time for doing so. Last time they messed up our order and now they don't even have a functional speaker system to order from. Don't think we will ever stop in here again, went to the Sonic on the other side of town and had a much better experience. Terrible sonic! After taking a long time to take our order of five small drinks, they proceeded to get four of five right AFTER a 28 minute wait. We weren't the only ones w this problem. We tried to talk to the poor server but she just walked off. Honestly, I'd have to quit if I worked at this place. The manager needs to get it together. If I could give less than 1 star, I would. When I pulled in, about 6:30 pm, they were not busy at all. One or two stalls had cars. One car was at the Drive Thru window. One car was at the Drive Thru speaker. It was a full 10+ minutes before they took my order. I'm 1st in line at the window, they take my money, and I wait. The guy at the window is doing *nothing*. Two female carhops are pulling drinks, and lining them up at the window. Getting shakes and lining them up at the window. And I'm still sitting there. The guy wonders away. Eventually, I lean forward, and I see a 3rd female employee using her phone in the food preparation area, and eating a lime green beverage with a spoon. She sees me, points with her left hand and seems to get excited speaking excitedly (I don't know what was said) and waving her left hand at me. A few minutes later, Carhop Classic Philly Cheesesteak arrives. The meat is burnt beyond recognition. Inedible. I tossed it out when I got home. The tots are cold. (They've probably been waiting for 10 minutes, like all those shakes lined up on the counter behind my order.) 25 minutes to get food unfit to eat. Plus a likely County health code violation, with employees handling their phones and eating in the kitchen. They just don't care. To be clear, this is the 13th street Sonic, near Walmart in Loveland. Horrible service, the waitstaff seems to be new everytime I come in, and the orders are generally messed up. The tater tots come out oversoaked in oil, and the breakfast burritos come out light. Have complained to the management, but doesn't make any difference. Found out that the owners live out of state, so obviously they don't care. Just feed them money. I have worked down the street from this location for almost a year. Service and food was decent although never quick. Waiting has been the norm here for awhile but something has happened at this store and it's not good. I suspect they are chronically shorthanded but I'm not sure. I am sure that the drive thru is shut down 4-5 times a week. Parking for your order has grown to a minimum 20-30 minute wait for even the smallest order, even when ordering ahead with the app. Today was my last time at this location because my order was taken but never fulfilled and after 25 minutes, I couldn't even get an employees attention. I came to this Sonic. I had waited for nearly 20 minutes. When I got to the window, the person at the window got my order wrong. She could not figure out how to change it. I had ordered 2 diet cherry lime aids. After waiting nearly 5 minutes, I said that's fine; I need to go. I realized I had already paid for 1 diet cherry lime aid. When I went into the store to get it, the manager who was extremely rude, would not give me the diet cherry lime aid I had asked for. He literally told me to get out of his store. I was appalled. Not only did I not get what I had paid for, but I have never been treated so rudely. I will never go to this Sonic again. The one on Lincoln has much better service. When my wife called to ask if I was ok because I had been gone so long I walked up to the building and the one frazzled delivery girl gave me my drinks.
