Food was good, double cheeseburger with (bacon)? Very sparse,more like a few bacon bits. Burger was hot and tasty. Wife's hotdog was prepared correctly and was good. Ordered some cheese sticks that had a good taste but were not hot,Luke warm at best. Service was quick, but to tell you the truth, I know that no one there wanted to be there. I understand. After a long day of work me and my family decided to enjoy some sonic, at least we thought we were. To begin with we ordered a minimum of $55 worth of food, this is including 3 meals and some other extras. Out of those 3 meals, we only got 2 drinks. That was forgivable. Service was ok besides the fact that it seemed like the team member had a stank face. Also forgivable, you never know what's going on with someone in their personal life. FINALLY THE REASON WHY YOU SHOULDN'T EAT HERE, the bread was growing MOLD. We didn't notice this until after some of my family had already ate their food. After finding this out we went back immediately to ask for the manager in order to sort things out and get a refund. Out of the $55 we spent we only got $20 back. Even called and nobody would answer the phone employees walking around inside, not even acknowledging any of the customers. Other cars were pulling off also! Tonight we ate outside on the patio at Sonic. Pros: Not anyone around and food came out relatively quickly. Food wasn't spoiled or gross. Cons: The girl taking the order couldn't get the computer to work and entered our order incorrectly after taking about 5 minutes to explain a very simple order over and over. When the food arrived, the chili cheese coney I ordered came out an American dog with queso on it. They were reluctant to fix the problem and claimed that's what I ordered. They brought the chili cheese coney after a bit but put onions on it. Still not right, but I was done arguing at this point. If you can't get that basic thing right, you just don't have the mental capacity to take an order. As I'm sitting there eating, I am approached by not 1, not 2, but 3 homeless people. The first 2 ask us for charging blocks for their phones. Which we didn't have with us. They eventually left. The third one came by every parked car panhandling. Then as we were seated, he approached us. He asked us for money and food. I gave him the queso dog and then he asked for a drink. I got him 2 drinks. Then as I'm finishing eating he tells me the hot dog is gross. He wants chicken nuggets and ice cream now. Can you believe this guy? He really smelled horrible and sat at the table behind us. Appetite ruined. If I can't go somewhere without being harassed at every turn, I just won't go. Sorry, Sonic. Used to love coming here, but I won't be back. read more

Absolutely the worse sonic I've ever been too. Third time coming here and the first time they lost my order after it said they were on the way with it. Waited over an hour for my food that visit. The next two times it took over thirty minutes for just two drinks. NO FOOD! just two drinks. I've had to ask them where my order is all three visits. I get there is a shortage of employees but this is not lack of employees. It's bad management of workers they do have. read more

Family has been wanting to try Sonic for quite some time but not local to Charlotte. Drive was not too bad and the food did not disappoint. Staff was pleasant and delivered the correct order. Milkshakes options were plentiful but DO NOT recommend the cheesecake options. I can speak to the Oreo cheesecake milkshake which, for lack of a better descriptive, was rancid. Not that the ingredients were spoiled just the cheesecake flavoring was overpowering with an overtly salty/sour taste. Other milkshakes ordered by family were good! Definitely a do over with the exception of the cheesecake milkshake. read more

NOT SAFE! Aside from the apathetic/hostile staff and dangerously poor food quality, the employees at the Monroe location "play games" with people's orders. I cannot speak to them tampering with the food because I threw it all away after noticing my drink was spitefully "altered". I wouldn't complain to management either because you will get an earful of how YOU are wrong, no matter how polite you are. Not sure how this location is still open. Drive-In!! The wait-staff wears rollar skates! You sit in your car, order from a big menu-breakfast served all day. My 9 yr. old loves it. Went to this Sonic on a Saturday after a movie and was exited to eat fatty and delish fast food, unfortunately I left extremely frustrated and hungry. Before going to this location me and my wife verified it was open, although it was close to closing time we figured we would be able to make it to the location with plenty of time. After browsing the menu for a couple minutes I hit the red button to order, and heard nothing in reply exempt the screen saying we will be with you shortly. After about 5 min of waiting we saw a worker taking the trash out the back, we made eye contact and continued to wait another 15 min and 5 more red button pushes later we realized that it had past the closing time. At this point I knew that the employees purposely didn't take my order for 20 min and let me sit outside so that they could close the store. The worst part was that the employee knew we were there and said nothing making us wait past the time where most other places closed as well. If they would have just told us we would have happily left and found a knew place to order food from but now I'm pissed and starving, I guess this is how sonic treats it's customers, will not be going back ever and will actively tell people to skip this location all together! read more

Horrible, my family and I are at the hospital in Monroe for Easter and decided to go grab something to eat, I pulled up to the car hop intercom and ordered 2 hamburgers and 1 bacon cheese burger combos. I received the coldest fries, onion rings was hot but tasted like doe, my hamburger had an onion peel in it, and all burgers were dressed so sloppy!!! I know things happen at fast food restaurants, but I will never eat here again in my life, the worst presentation and food ever! And yes I am a tad harsh because I was so hungry, and it still was inedible... Ugh read more

BUT my most recent visit there(4/30/2011) was sadly to say my last,... after enjoying our meal my husband was just about finished with his cheese tots and went for his next bite and saw under the tot he was picking up a piece of hair, lets just say everything was thrown away. sorry sonic, you need to make sure ALL employees ware there hair nets!! you have lost me and my family as customers, this will also be passed to our family and friends. read more
