And the lady was very rude to me at the menu where you order I asked for a #10 and a Powerade slushy I got my #10 and my tots I got just the Powerade drink no slush at all!! And 3 hamburger PATTYS for my dogs were burnt!!! Never going to this sonic again I'm glad the one on south Virginia opened so much more friendlier and nicer and they love seeing my dogs and give them pupachinos without me asking!!! read more

I needed ice cream. Well, the wifey did. A bad day that could only be cured by ice cream was the message sent to me. Sonic was only blocks from my appointment so off I went. Drive through was easy and not too busy. The woman taking the order was polite and understood me the first time. 2 shakes. This may not sound like a large feat, but I hate when ordering requires charades or assorted volumes and cadence of my tone in order to convey the order. What should have happened was a violent reaction when I ordered a large chocolate master blaster for my wife. I rolled up to the window to discover a vat of ice cream awaiting me. Seriously?!?! "How large is this?" I asked... my lower jaw dropping into my lap as the kind guy at the window handed me my bucket of master blaster. "32 ounces!" he exclaimed, seemingly delighted he had delivered to me a portion guaranteed to satisfy my wives bad day craving... and the next year of bad days to come. 32 ounces of ice cream? Not necessary. NOT AT ALL!! If this was on the signage at the ordering stage this may have been 4 stars. My banana shake was reasonably sized and tasted like fresh bananas. I love all the different soda combinations they offer and their crushed ice-so refreshing on a warm day! My favorite is the cherry limeade which also comes with diet soda. Their burgers are pretty good but I love the hotdogs-both regular and Coney Island. The milk shakes are my favorite dessert and they have a lot of flavors but I like peanut butter Oreo the best! read more

This has to be the worst Sonic in all of Reno/Sparks. I keep hoping it will get better as it is the closest to me, but it just gets worse! $20 tonite for a single cheeseburger combo with upgrade to shake and a burrito for tomorrow morning. Mobile order. Took 20 minutes to get and had to call them twice. Staff was too busy laughing and joking with each other. So.. shake had melted whipped cream, burger room temp, burrito only partially covered in foil wrapper, no picante sauce that was ordered for burrito , tons of ketchup that was not requested half of which was covered in honey so packets stuck together. I did manage to see fries were cold once I wrangled the stapled closed bag open and I was still in the parking spot. She replaced those; I noticed when I got home that the longest one was an inch long so bottom of the frozen bag obviously. Their insert card on the lighted order board was inserted backwards but no one had even noticed. Reno sits 47th in the country for education; is this the result we're seeing or is it poor management? read more

You can order ahead and pick a time, there's ASAP (if you're already there) then it goes in 5 minutes increments. When you get there, pull into a stall and check in and they'll bring your order out to you. We usually stay to eat in the car. It's not the same as going out but it sure beats staying at home . My favorite part is the kids meals. $1.99 gets you any Wacky Packy WITH THE TOY! The toy definitely cheers my kids up since we can't go out and do anything else. And their Vanilla Coke is the best I've had from anywhere else!!! I usually get orders wrong or mixed up at these fast food places but it's never happened to me at sonic so far. After 8 p.m., you can get any of their shakes, floats, or ice cream slushes at half off their regular price- a pretty good deal! And considering that they offer hand-mixed shakes in a variety of different flavors using "real ice cream," it is a great deal! We always choose the shakes from this deal and they are always thick and delicious. There is a "Hand-Mixed Classic Shake" menu which includes flavors such as chocolate, caramel, and banana, and a "Hand-Mixed Master Shake" menu which includes more exotic flavors such as Oreo peanut butter and strawberry cheesecake. I had a friend over to help me with a project and his payment was lunch. We wanted to get started and I thought that a good burger would be a great way to start the job. I'm not a drive through person so I parked and went over to the center area where there is outside seating. That's when things started going south... There is an order board at each parking stall and you check out the menu, then order by pushing a red button on the order board. We didn't know that, but were in stall one standing, reading the order board for a few minutes. Stall one has a table, and is set up for foot traffic. After deciding what we wanted, we walked to the building and opened the door... There is no inside counter for customers! Everyone was in there busy cooking and preparing food, and I was standing there watching... A nice young lady named Heaven rushed over and escorted me outside, then explained how this all works. You push the red button on the order board, then wait for a response! Order your food, and then pay at the order board with a card of some sort. Well, now that we have that figured out, I went back over to stall one, and pushed the red button. No response... So I push the red button again! No response again, so my friend pushes the red button. Then, I pushed the red button again, and finally got a response! We will be with you shortly! Being the tech genius, I started speaking into the speaker instead of the mic...apparently, they still heard enough to take our order, and everyone else got a good laugh! The Jalapeño burger was average, as was my friends' double cheeseburger. The Coney Island dog was decent, being "all beef". The fries were hot and fresh. This was a fantastic meal for twelve bucks! Unfortunately, it cost over thirty bucks! That made it only average... sorry Sonic. I will be back, but I won't have very high expectations. read more

The shakes here kinda taste like they were either made with old milk or the blender they used was not washed thoroughly. So I stopped ordering the shakes, because the food and other desserts are still pretty good. They've gotten my orders wrong before like giving me a wrong side or whatever, but today I ordered a blast and they outright gave me a shake? I am not sure if it was a lack of staff or what the issue was but we ordered onion rings with out meal, they forgot them and it was 30 minutes later and pressing the order button twice, then my husband going to the door to actually get something done. They also had other cutosmer complaint about the slushies being all liquid and no slush. The manager told one customer that that was as good as they will get their machine doesn't work right. Truly the worst sonic ever. We love ice cream and sonic! So it's a shame the only one close to me is filled with unprofessional kids and mismanaged orders. I was offered a free shake over my last three orders being incorrect and I went to use that tonight. Only to have my order made wrong not once but twice so I threw it out. I wish I paid credit so I could start charging fraud every time. When you tell them it's wrong on the menu they argue when you tell them it's wrong at the drive through the tell you well my paper says this. Well I sure didn't type it in so who did? Last week I'm in the drive through and they can't hear what I'm saying because everyone is yelling inside. The girl proceeds to scream "Shut the F### up" eventually she told us we couldn't order more because it was to hard to hear...of course my order was wrong that time as well. I'm sure management got complaints that night. The issue at this location is way greater than offering a free shake and it's so disappointing. Sonic in Sparks Galleria shopping center. Stay away from this drive thru unless you like waiting 15-20 minutes between cars for anyone at all to come on the speaker to take your order! Don't ask for soft serve or shake because, the machine is STILL down! No straws, can't see your receipt because, no ink in printer. Don't try to park in ANY of the stalls and press the red button to place your order because, you can sit there all day and press the button and no one will ever come and forget complaining as no one gives a crap. Drove in about 9:45 to a stall, the guy asked me to wait and took the order of the guy who pulled in after me. So I pressed the button again, around 9:55 and he took my order. Around 10:03 a girl came and asked us to go through drive thru or go to the front because it would be easier for them along w everyone else but we had already paid and ordered . We pulled to the front and waiting until 10:25 until walking up and asking about our order. We got out shakes melted and it was overall a very disappointing snack lol. I took my daughter on a snowy Sunday to this location for lunch . We tried to use two coupons on the same visit manager refused said one coupon per visit so we so we went through the drive-through twice on the second trip we ordered two medium cherry limeade's buy one get one free they poured both we approached the window. The attendant refused to honor the coupon. The total was $6.47. I showed her the coupon she had to ask the manager for approval manager was in the bathroom now keep in mind there are now four people behind us all waiting for their food. Finally the manager came out refused to honor the coupon and so I said "you're really going to lose the entire sale over $3.23.?, Now you have to throw out the two limeade's. She went back to ask the manager again manager refused now one of the people in line left so I told her not only will you have to throw out the limeade's but you're also gonna have to throw out the food you just cooked for the white truck that just left!" I can't believe their unwillingness and refusal for customer service. No where on the coupon does it limit the number of visits per day. so we took the coupon back and they threw out all the food and we drove to the next sonic location just 10 minutes down the road and got our 2 cherry limeades, buy one, get one free!! read more
