Sonic is a great place to stop when you're traveling, especially if you're traveling with kids. They have a wide variety of food options and their drink selection is unmatched compared to any other fast food place in California. Is the food amazing? No, not really but it's quick and easy and does the job when you want something other than the usual greasy fast food options. Would be awesome if they hadn't been out of toys for the kids meals and a few of the snack items, but we will be back again. read more

I have gone to this location 4 times in the last month to get a strawberry shake and the have been out of strawberry's each time. As a retired restaurant manager I would think that the store manager would go to the store a purchase some more strawberry's until there order came in. Went to Sonics yesterday . We wanted to order shakes but they said they were cleaning their machines?????? Man it was 11:45 am you all should have that ready for when the place opens at 11 am.. Terrible, terrible fast food place. Every time I go there, the fries are cold as soon as they hand me the bag. The last time I was there it took forever, even though no one else was in the drive through line and no one was inside. Fries were cold (again), and when I got home they forgot to put one of the sandwiches in the bag, even though there was only two sandwiches on the order. This is the worst Sonic ever made! Last year was so much better! First off the teenagers who work here are such assholes! They take your order rudely then when your order is ready basically toss it in your car... they will ignore the call button for 10 minutes and make you go through the drive through. Act like they can't hear you and literally will ask you 3x what you ordered. How hard is it to hear the word Pretzel??? 1st trip- Came here from Monterey which is about a 25 minute drive for ice cream, they told us they were out of ice cream because they were cleaning the machine. 2nd trip- Again drove from Monterey for slushes, ordered through the Mobile App this time, sat in the stall and waited while "Food Being Prepared/In The Kitchen" for 25 minutes. September 2020: Want a good meal? The grass that's growing next to this place is prolly more appetizing. I got a burger, fries, and their own special "drinks" for my friend & I.. The burger was rubbery. Honestly, wouldn't be shocked if it was cooked days before & warmed up at the time we ordered. Lettuce was straight up gross & soggy. They put way to many sauces in it, it was dripping when I picked it up. The bread even tasted weird.. not able to explain it. The fries were cold.. and kinda not cooked all the way The onion rings were on a new level of disgusting. The cashier was a little rude. One person inside wasn't wearing a mask.. (COVID) Only reason why we came here was bc it was late & we wanted something quick. The Sonic down in LA is pretty good, but this place wasn't even close to that. Do not waste your money here. To the owner of this establishment.... it is time to get some outside cleaning and fixing done. It is also time for some assistance with the drive thru personnel. I have been to this establishment a few times. The outside has cobwebs, broken hinges, dirty windows, and overall just looks dirty. Each time I've been there the order is missing something- condiments, straws, etc. this includes the food, when I say no pickles it means no pickles. Half the drive in stalls don't work, the order screen on the drive through has been broken for at least 6 months now, and multiple times I've gotten the wrong food. Usually simple things like fries instead of tots (I'm sorry but tots and fries don't sound anything alike) or not having the right toppings on my burger. read more

So I see the bad reviews and had a couple of terrible experiences myself and swore off that place. I should have reviewed then but didn't think to. Since I last went it seemed they closed for awhile(before the COVID mess) and I thought maybe there is new ownership or something, might be worth another shot. So went today and no problems and service was quick and friendly, price was fair. Only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because the burger isn't really all that great. I'll probably go again soon since its summer and if there is social distancing then eating in a shady sonic stall seems like a good solution. It's terrible. No, it's worse than terrible. I gave it several tries and each time it got worse and my last visit will be my last visit ever. I waited over 20-minutes for my food and boy oh boy, once I got it, I knew it was strike three. Everything looked like it had been thrown together quickly, it all tasted terrible and two of the items were cold. Even the tots were ruined and room temperature.
