Got free fries thru the app which seemed like bottom of the fryer scraps that were small broken up pieces (but they were crispy at least). The onion rings were surprisingly good quality but they put my sugared dessert bites into the same bag which made the onion rings taste like cinnamon. Every once in a while I get a craving for a dirty coke and a Coney Island hot dog and Sonic is the best place to find these things. This specific location has significant staffing problems that have gone unaddressed for far too long. Even when placing our order on the app and scheduling a pickup time, we seem to always have to wait. They are always so short staffed that they close the dining room to customers and turn off the ability to have your items delivered to your car, forcing you to go through the drive thru line for pickup. After waiting for 20 minutes in the drive thru line, they handed me my drink and 3 bags of food. Before driving away from the window, I looked inside the bags, and saw that this was not our order. The employee took the 3 bags of food back and apologized, explaining that they only had 2 employees working at the moment and left the window. 10 minutes later, they appeared again with our correct order and apologized again. While the employees working today were polite and trying to do their best, you should avoid this location at all costs. read more

Stopped in to order. Pulled in to the stall. Pushed the red button to wait for an order. After about five minutes with no response, pulled out my phone and watched a YouTube video. At the end of 16 minutes, still no response. That's 20 minutes of waiting with nobody taking my order. I pulled out while two employees in blue Sonic tee shirts standing next to the door stared mutely at my car pulling away, talking rather than taking my order after a 20 minute wait. I imagine that little red button blinks to this very day, still unanswered. Go to where they have adequate and competent staffing. I live in Maine so we don't have Sonics up this way and my teen loves the slushie drinks and some of the apps. On our way home from Providence she asked to stop. We did an online order for 1:45pm on a Sunday. Told to pull into a car hop. Ok. 1:47 I push the red button. We waited and waited. I yelled to the young guy bringing out food our order name. Waited some more. He never came over. The lobby is closed so can't go in to get food. At 2:30 I told my daughter we are trying the drive thru instead. We get to the ordering window eventually. The woman was rude, just said pull on up. We did. Now it's like 2:45, an hour later. She says we never got an order for you with such an attitude. The attire was something to speak about. Shirt was up to her bra, her piecing was dangling over the counter tops. Just not appropriate. We showed her the email, her boss came over and said ok we will make it now. The bag of fries, mozzarella sticks and tater tots were ICE cold. Flavorless. Just all grease. The slushie drinks were so overly sweet it tasted like pure syrup. The manager came back over and handed us another bag (not our order but my dog loved the corn dog & 2 chicken sandwiches when we got home!). By now we left and it was 2:20pm! I always come back, I don't know why. Every experience gets worse and worse. The line takes 25+ minutes every time. No matter the time of day, the amount of employees, the amount of people in line. For how long it takes, the food is somehow always ice cold and wrong. Maybe if the employees were working and not just standing in circles chatting the whole time, things might be fixed. my girlfriend and I were craving some good monzerella sticks from sonic and we were in the smithfeild area. we stopped for lunch around 1:30 with only 2 other cars there we continue to wait 20mins at the drive in kiosk, no one took our order. we then went into the drive thru just to wait another 25mins just to get poor quality food and awful service. i was givin a bad attitude from the lady at the window all because i wanted to make sure i got the right drink which ended up being wrong even after i asked. my girlfriend wanted groovy fries with groovy sauce they didn't give us the sauce and to top it off they had to ask me what i had ordered after already waiting 15min at the window. I've no idea why this chain get hyped so much. I have given this location the benefit of at least 4 visits and the only thing I can say is that Sonic is consistent. Each visit being just as unpleasant as the last. Once you find a working kiosk (on each visit, at least one was always broken, so you had to back out into the busy lot and vie for a spot, on one occasion I had to exit the lot and come back in), service is slow. You have to sit in your car looking at only a wall of parking lot shrubs while you wait. Food isn't just mediocre, it's bad. Burgers are dry and grey, buns taste like bleach, fries are overly salted and sometimes soggy. Drinks are nearly pure sugar syrup. I've no I idea how this chain maintains itself. Also picked up the Oreo peanut butter master hand mixed shake which would be a 10/10 if they used real whipped cream, I'm actually a bit perplexed as to what that substance is. Sonic is a classic fast food place to visit. The food is great, especially the shakes. The cheesecake shakes are bomb and are a must. About $5 for a good sized medium. They need to improve their straws however because that ice cream is thiccc. The workers do seem a bit annoyed with their job.
