We need another forum for places so bad, so evil that we can give like SKULLS - you know 5 skulls being your life is actually in danger for going here kinda thing? Hubby wanted a milkshake and we had not had dinner- so here we go. Order was taken quickly and "food" if you could call it that was promptly delivered. I tried the pretzel dog, small fries and a Sprite. Hubby had chicken strip dinner with a chocolate malt. First problem ? Not one napkin. Called and a guy brought us 4 flimsy napkins and skated away. I reached in my bag to grab a hot salty fry- what I got was a slightly warm and limp tasteless fry. UGH! Husband opened his box and had 3 little chicken strips, pasty looking tater tots- 2 pieces of wet toast and it was all cold! I picked up my pretzel dog- wet with mustard and COLD! It was small, wet and cold ....then it slipped from the limp bun and hit the car mat! DONE!! Never have I had such crap! NEVER going back...with so many choices in Vacaville why would ANYONE go here?? You may not die but after eating here you will wish you were dead ! read more

I come here about three to five times a week and some of the workers can never figure out how to use the Sonic Pay App on my iPhone. I have to tell them how sometime....or just wait until someone figures it out (5 minutes later). This is a management training issue. Please teach your staff how to use the technology. The food and drinks are always awesome here and the staff is always friendly. So the little technology training glitch still allows You'll to bolster *****. read more

The worst, disorganized, mismanaged outfit I know; got a shake, the bottom of the cup was cracked and split so by the time got home the shake half poured all over the car; the slush was not frozen; tried calling sonic but they NEVER EVER answer their phone; they used to be good, until the workers just giggle and goof off and half the time don't even know what your order is; many times i've gotten drinks tasting like water; flat soda; melted shakes; can't believe they are still in business; time to call corporate headquarters! read more

The worst place to go if you want your order done right and have a person be positive and greet you professionally. Also, they are not willing to fix mistakes when they make them and they forget to put food in the bag and when you go back to get it they call you a lier and give off a nasty ass attitude. The past 5 times over the past two months we have given it a benefit of a doubt and have been disappointed with the food and especially the service. Horrible and not recommended. I would give no stars but I had to do at least one in order to post a review. Oh.... And when going though the drive thru, we witnessed employees playing grab ass instead of working to get peoples orders correct. To worried about flirting and twerking rather than working. Employees were walking around with ear pods and obviously listening to music in one ear and taking orders and getting them incorrect despite repeating the order twice if not three times and having them repeat it back but the receipt was so not what we ordered. They suck. To bad, I love Sonics drinks but would be willing to drive to Roseville to eat there rather then go to this location in Vacaville again. read more

Great for what it is! They offer military discount. Sometimes takes awhile to get the order but it is made fresh. You must try some things on the secret menu as well, like my favorite the FRITO PIE! they also sometimes do fried pickles... read more

I had tried Sonic's before elsewhere, but this time I ordered food instead of ice cream. The food here is good, not great, but average. I liked it due to the value and portion. The lady brought out the food roller-skated to the car and was so jolly. I had the Footlong Quarter Pound Coney and Tots, and DAMNNNNNN they weren't kidding when they said footlong. Overall it was good, for some reason I was craving chili cheese and sided with that. They fries are regular, nothing special there. The onion rings are good and so are the tots. I wanted ice cream after, but I was SO full from my meal, I skipped it. Atmosphere is okay; you sit in the car and eat your food, which is nice. No crappy fuss over the loud table next to you or the little kids running around like crazy from food-deprivation. read more

I come by this sonic on occasion when I get the urge to have it! This morning (pregnancy cravings!) I really wanted an ultimate meat and cheese burrito. The service was great, my order was out in a timely manner, however... when I opened my burrito it wasn't rolled up hardly at all, just kind of mushed together, it was cold with stale tater tots and the tortilla was completely ripped open on the back side. I'm currently waiting for them to make me a new one, the carhop, Hope was her name! She was very kind! And helpful! However, I was disappointed in the cooks! They brought me out a new one and it was fresh and muchhhhh better! So between Hope the carhop and the new burrito is why I added an extra star! read more

We don't have Sonic in Marin and so my Texas bred honey almost cried upon discovery. Decent service, good food, at least of the fast food genre. I'm especially partial to the fact that you can order tater tots with your meal. TATER TOTS!! The chicken wrap was awesome too. IMHO, this Sonic location is much better than the one in American Canyon's. Car hops come out on skates, so that's a plus.

This was my second time at this Sonic and I was NOT impressed! I was pleased to find that breakfast is available all day, and at 2pm having had nothing to eat all day I thought the new spicy breakfast burrito would hit the spot! Um... I was so wrong! This burrito was smashed, the wrapper was filthy (had contents smeared) but it was DRIED spillage which leads me to believe it was reheated. Nothing tasted fresh - even the jalapeno strings were soft- they're fried- if they were fresh they'd be crispy! The only saving grace was the tater tots. They were fresh and yummy. Oh- but the lady at the window was frowning the entire time- poor customer service! read more

This is your typical run of the mill Sonic's. The service is decent, the drinks and deserts are good, but the food itself is just ok. i pretty much stick to tots, corn dogs, or popcorn chicken. i have been disapointed with the other food i have tried here. the whole drive up experience is fun and we like the roller skating waitresses. I tried Sonic on my way to Tahoe because I'd been seduced by both the exciting commercials and the dearth of Sonics in my own area. The drive-in system is a cool concept and ends up being very convenient---you just pull your car up to a parking lot of drive-in booths, each with a speaker system that will take your order. In a few minutes a girl on roller skates will bring it out for you. The food itself was unmemorable and frankly nested itself in the lower quartile of the fast food I've tried. It was precisely what a two star rating is, a "Meh, I've experienced better." It might be worth it for the drive-in or the roller skates, which are awesome to newbies, but the fries were a little stale and the milkshakes which look fantastic on television are actually just Meh and run on the too-sweet side. I wouldn't come here again if I were hungry, because I didn't like the food enough to eat enough to fill me up. But maybe for a quick snack, especially to show someone what the Sonic experience is like. read more

I was suprised how good their burgers are. The hot dogs were okay. Tator tots were kind of pale and the onion rings were not crispy and lacked flavor. I would go back just for the burgers and the drinks. This location was actually very clean and right off the freeway and easy to find. read more

So my last visit was NOT a good one. My boyfriend and I usually order outside from our car, and then they bring our food out to us. That part, fine. This time, we decided to "go in," thinking it was like a McD or something. Nope. To our surprise, it's like a garage with tables and 3 ordering stations, 2 of which were located IN the echoed filled area. We couldn't hear the girl, and she couldn't hear us. AND, everybody can hear you screaming at the mic. This day might have been the day when all the newbs came to try Sonic because EVERYBODY who ordered was getting frustrated because they couldn't hear the person on the other end and/or the other person couldn't hear the customer. SOOOOOOO much echoing and feedback. That was strike one. Strike two was even though we yelled our orders over and over again to the girl and confirmed our order, she got our order wrong. I ordered the chicken chipotle club sandwich and he ordered the honey mustard chicken club sandwich, and we had large drink and large tots. When it came out, tots-good; drink- good; sandwiches-ALLLL wrong!!!!!! We both ended up with the basic chicken sandwich. We had to yell into the mic again to get somebody to fix this. They took it back, and the manager "personally" made the new sandwiches. This time around was better. They were both clubs, BUT at first we thought we got the same order, the chicken chipotle club, since neither of us was able to taste the honey mustard in either sandwiches. Half way into my sandwich, I finally get to the honey mustard part. I actually had his sandwich. Moral of the story, don't get the honey mustard chicken sandwich; they're stingy with that shizzz. This last visit kinda ruined my TOTAL experience with Sonic, even though prior visits were okay. The food isn't even that great. I just love their tots, but their large isn't even a large, so not worth coming back anymore. If you EVER want to go to Sonic, please stay in your car and order outside. I have driven home to Sacramento so many times from the bay, but surprisingly never stopped at this Sonic before. Today, an ice cream sounded oh so yummy. So we took off the Davis street exit and pulled into the huge parking lot at Sonic. We ordered about 5 minutes after going back and forth on the menu to decide what our final choices were. The service was fast and we were shoving food down our face in 5 minutes. The parking spaces were huge, as many Sonics, you are unable to open your door to go throw trash away because the menu is in your way. This location made spaces large enough to be able to get out of your vehicle on both sides. The only reason why I gave this Sonic location a 5 star was because some kids next to us were smoking. We were trying to eat with our windows open because it was so beautiful out. Unfortunately, when the server brought their food out they never asked then not to smoke out there. So we had to roll up our windows and deal with our car smelling like onion rings and hot dogs. Other then that situation, I would suggest someone to eat here no doubt. read more

I've never had any issues with sonic, I use the drive thru and it's never a long wait. If you park it's a bit longer though so if you're in a hurry, nix the parking lot! My food has always been hot and as fresh as fast food can get. It's not the best food in the world but for fast food it's pretty decent. I'm addicted to the mozzarella sticks and the customized drinks are pretty good. The service is always super friendly. read more
