If I could give this sonic negative stars I would the amount of stuff they forget everything single time you get something from there is astronomical. Probably the worst sonic to exist. I know this is just fast food but when you sit in a car for 30 minutes waiting on food when your the only car there and they still forget half your order is very frustrating. I want to start by saying I love Sonic! We moved to this area from Texas,where we had 4 Sonic's in a 5 mile radius, and they were all awesome! We would go there several times a week for drinks or breakfast burritos. So I was happy that the town we moved to had one. Then we went there. Yikes! First of all, they are not open for breakfast. Bummer. They still have a breakfast menu, but you can't get it in the morning. 2nd, the drive up stalls. Half of them are broken and have out of order signs on them. There are 3 or 4 more that have been hit by cars so many times that they are crooked and you can't pull into the spot. So only 2 or 3 stalls actually work. The last time I was there, I used the app to make my order and it wouldn't connect to the stall, so I had to go through the drive through. 3rd, they always seem to be out of things. Especially new items that I get emails about. One time we went and got an ice cream sundae, and when they brought it to the car, they let us know they were out of spoons, and just walked back inside. 4th, their indoor seating. This isn't a dealbreaker for me, as most of the Sonics I've been to do not have indoor seating, so I was excited that this one did. Only problem was that they closed the indoor part during the pandemic, and never reopened it. That was 4 years ago. I will say the staff there is very friendly and nice. I honestly feel sorry for them they have to work at such a broken place. We really tried to support this Sonic, but I just can't do it anymore. It honestly makes me sad every time I drive by it. So I secretly love fast food and I like trying places that don't have stores where I live. Canada doesn't have any Sonics that I know of, so when I spotted a Sonic near our hotel I knew I wanted to check it out. Unfortunately, I was not too impressed with the food. The service however, was excellent. Since I am not familiar with the Sonic chain, I went online to look at their menu. I saw that they had a promotion for $2.99 for a Junior Garlic Butter Bacon Burger and medium tater tots. So I figured I would give that a try. They have a drive thru, but they also have these lanes where you can park and order and carhops will come out and bring your food to you, and of course you can also go into the restaurant and eat in or get takeout. I went into the store and ordered takeout. The cashier was Breanna and she was very friendly and patient, as I had lots of questions, it being my first time at a Sonic and all. The person who delivered my food to the table that I was sitting at waiting was Whitney and she was really pleasant and friendly too. (They all wear name tags, that's how I know their names). Service was excellent, and was the only redeeming thing about this visit. Unfortunately, I did not enjoy the food. Half of the burger was wet and soggy :( There was way too much butter in the burger. The non-soggy part tasted ok, but not great. The bacon was at least crispy, which I liked. And they aren't joking when it comes to the garlic, there was so much garlic in the burger! The tater tots were only lukewarm. Not hot :( The drive back to the hotel was not far, and it was not cold outside, so I think they were served to me like that. I only like to leave positive reviews, but my last eight trips to this location have been fairly horrendous. Putting the word fairly in there makes me feel nicer about really poor service. Most times I am one of two cars in the drive-through and we still wait eight minutes for drinks alone. Tonight, as the third car of a total of three cars on a Friday night, I sat at the drive-through speaker for three minutes without being acknowledged. I finally said hello? To which, rather than being greeted like a paying customer, I was told... "Yeah, it's gonna be a long while since there's like $100 of food on my computer and only two of us here so you're going to be waiting a while". What business is it of mine to know the dollar amount of the food orders in front of me. And why are there only two employees on a Friday night at 8 PM When the staff or not having bad attitudes, or short with you, or very unfriendly, the one consistency, you can always count on with this location is a long wait times even when you're the only customer and unfriendly staff. I wish management would get a hold of them selves, do some proper training, and hire at least one human who smiles and asks how your day is. My love for Sonic is tremendous. No matter where I'm at Syracuse, Watertown or in another state they are consistent. There shakes are my favorite. They make them thick enough that you could use a spoon. The fruit is flavorful. The overall quality is fantastic. Let's talk about tots. Sonic has the best deep fried tater tots on the planet. The tots are fried to perfection, nice crisp outside and fluffy tater inside. They are always perfect. Burgers are scrumptious I usually get the double cheese burger loaded with all the fixings. Fast service if you pull into park and order spot but the drive thru line was super long. We avoided that. Chili cheese tots were sooooo good. Stopped at sonic with my three-year-old granddaughter went through the car hop. The customer service was horrible. Katiuska waited on me I asked her if I could see my order on the screen because the app wasn't working. She came out with my receipt pushed at me with a horrible attitude and I asked her if she was cranky. She stated no with a horrible attitude. I come here at least a few times a week and never have I been treated so poorly! I work hard everyday with people and if I am having a bad day I would never take it out on the people I serve. I've been wanting to try the Sonic experience for so long! Finally today was the day. First impressions were the guy, Thomas, was super friendly and super helpful as this was our first time. Ordered a good variety of food consisting of 4 combos which consisted of 2 kids combos (corn dog and chicken fingers) a bacon double cheeseburger and bacon and cheese hotdog. For sides we chose tots mozzarella sticks onion rings and fries. Order placed sat down and waited as someone actually brought the food to the table. Burger was alright and taste wise the cheese was very dominate. Forgot to mention I added a Chicago hot dog which was very relish dominated. The mozzarella stickers were alright but as you would expect very hollow. The bacon and cheese hotdog was good as it had a nice hint of smokiness to it. The tots were actually the best thing. If you have kids and need a variety to help satisfy them consider Sonic as they have hot dogs corn dogs chicken fingers etc. Having now been once I can't say it was that good to have me keep coming back. read more

I made an order in the app last time I was here and one of the items I ordered was sold out. I did not get a refund for the item that was sold out. On the receipt I was given it said change with the amount of the sold out item but I did not receive change. I spoke to a manager and was told my card would be refunded for the amount of the sold out item and if not I would have to call the 1-800 number even though it said cash on the receipt, she was extremely rude and didn't want to deal with the problem. Well I never ever received my refund. I've been to sonic here plenty of times and there is always a problem with forgotten food, wrong order, or charging the wrong amount. The wait times here are also horrible. When you park in a stall and click the red button it takes 30 minutes to even be acknowledged. I've never been to a Sonic that had a dine-in area inside; just the tables outside so this was interesting even though the dine-in area was closed by the time we arrived. We got there about 11:55pm just in time to get to the drive-thru before closing. We ordered the biggest chili cheese tots which was just two larges put together. My friend and I always get this to share whenever we are at Sonic. We also came back the next day for strawberry limeades. Another favorite! read more

Somewhat of a disappointment to my husband who typically likes the burgers from Sonic. He reported that the burger was flavorless in comparison to the ones he's had at the Sonic near home. I can attest to the fact that the tator tots were not cooked to toasty perfection. They also lacked flavor. We stopped here as a rest room/lunch stop on our way to Canada. Really horrible service and food. I've personally worked at a Sonic before and this place is just sad. Considering that it's the only Sonic around here they should just close down. Twice I've received very hard food from here. I got a chili cheese coney with barely any chili and the actual dog itself was super hard. Almost like chewing on styrofoam. I got a slider and the buns were so hard. It was almost impossible to take a bite. The buns were blacked as they appeared to be very over toasted which doesn't make sense because they are supposed to have a roller with bun oil and you toss them in. Upon arrival into the parking lot, you notice what looks like places where you can park, order and eat right in your car. This is reminiscent of the 50s. We didn't choose this method. Upon arrival inside the restaurant, you will notice that the menu board immediately assaults you with 7 major meal choices on the left side of the board. Kids meal choices on the right side of the board, and an endless supply of drink options in the centre of the board. One really has to wonder what they specialize in. So, we asked. Turns out that the number one meal is the standard cheese burger with tater tots covered in chilli. I really wish that I had taken her advise and ordered it. However, my son and daughter ordered the corn dogs which were a good size. In fact, my son ordered two corn dogs and my daughter one corn dog and one regular hot dog. They definitely enjoyed them. As parents, we were surprised that they had apple slices on the menu and ordered them as a side for the kids. They were surprised that we ordered it but ate them without any trouble. My wife ordered a chicken sandwich and her only complaint was that the bun was too big. I like to order the gamut, and decided that I would like to try a single bacon cheeseburger, which wasn't on the menu. They had single and double cheeseburgers and a double bacon cheeseburger. They made it for me without any issue but the only problem with ordering off the menu is that you don't know the price. Thankfully, their prices were in line with what we are used to with McDonald's and Burger King. I also ordered a chili cheese dog but somehow I got the foot long hot dog. I didn't really recognize this as there was no place to see what you had ordered and you are only given the amount you need to pay. When I got a copy of my bill and examined it, I realized the error and went back up to speak to the cashier. It took 3 people an unusually long period of time to try to get me a refund on it and give me the 6 inch dog, as opposed to the foot long. In the end, I advised them that I would rather have the fries at par, but in reality, I think I ripped myself off. No one bothered to correct me or process the refund. In the end, the cashier went in to tell them to give me a 6 inch dog and fries. The good news is that I got HOT FRIES, the bad news is that I got a foot long chilli cheese dog. Oh well. So, I can tell you the burger was good, except that the bun was very soft. Almost unnaturally soft but I was okay with that. As we had ordered the onion rings, tater tots and now fries, we dipped it in the chilli from the chilli cheese dog. I have to tell you, TATER TOTS ROCK!!!! Dipped in chilli cheese sauce, it was GOOD! SO GOOD that we tried the fries, which were also GOOD!!! Unfortunately, I can't say the same for the onion rings in the chilli cheese sauce. I usually love hot dogs, and I try to eat them every chance that I get; however, the best way that I can describe this foot long hot dog covered in chilli cheese was that I usually don't eat salt in hot dog form. At first, I thought it was the chilli but it wasn't, when I tried the hot dog without the chilli, I got a blast of salt. This leads me to believe that the hot dog was sitting in hot dog water and had become salty. I didn't complain, it's not worth my time. I should mention that there was so much ice in my cup, that I ran out of drink. Is the fountain drink too much to give me an ample amount of drink? I didn't bother asking for a refill. So, here's my advice: - Try the cheeseburger - Don't get the ice in your drink - Avoid the foot long hot dog at all costs - GET the Tater TOTS, with chilli, if possible, this would ROCK!
