My new favorite pastime is to browse the apps for freebies and deals. Today, I was near my local Sonic Drive-In and the app had multiple offers. I chose the Free Entree with purchase deal and snagged a free Footlong Chili Cheese Coney. I had toto make a purchase of $1 or more, and add you know, you can barely get anything for a buck. I ordered a Cherry Limeade and Groovy Fries with sauce. After tipping, I spent $6, but the deal was still worth it in my opinion. Went through the drive thru literally 5 minutes ago. The older crabby lady kept saying my bad over and over! To top it all off she messed the order up and was extremely rude! She needs to go! Not acceptable behavior from a grown woman! I paid almost $50 for food for my kids and I and for it to be all completely wrong and messed up and then she wanted to argue with me that she gave me a coke with no ice when it was a Dr pepper with no ice that I asked for from the beginning! Every time we go the orders are incorrect , every time my hamburger has missing or wrong ingredients . Is it really that hard.

I just keep putting us through the pain of giving this place a chance. I truly do not understand a restaurant selling tots, fries, onion rings, etc NOT automatically putting ketchup in the bag. But when you specifically ASK when you're ordering and are still made to wait another ten minutes while your food gets cold and kiddos are complaining because there's no ketchup or the sauce for their chicken bites... well it's beyond frustrating. I finally waved down the delivery lady in the parking lot as she was running back inside from another stall. Cause they will also ignore you standing outside the door. Then they look at you crazy because you actually want condiments with your food and hand you three packets of ketchup when we ordered three large tots, an onion ring, and two large chicken bites. SERIOUSLY?! It's just such a simple thing that ruins it all. If you're not going to include condiments then put a sign on each stall. Or specifically end each order with ASKING the customer. Something, anything. Ironically, after this we went next door to Grand Park and had our Sonic cups and about 15 people started griping about the EXACT SAME THING. Everyone figures the only reason this place stays in business is because so many out of towners are coming through for tournaments at the ballpark and just don't realize what they're dealing with. The concession stand lady at the park even said how many people come back with Sonic bags and have to ask them for ketchup, sauces, napkins, etc. Ridiculous and such an easy thing to fix. The service would still be way too slow to answer a speaker but I could overlook that for the yummy options. My family says never again. read more

I dislike Sonic completely but my child still seems obsessed with going there. Went there last night and they never fail to disappoint. They almost never get the order right. I got fed up with them long ago when using the app for their deals, but the app would never work. Isn't that convenient? I don't particularly like their food. It is mostly lame, but even if the food was good, the service is incredibly awful. And they always screw up your order and then cannot get it right Go to Taco Bell in Westfield . They are "spot on" Great service, great food, get my order right. Or DQ Westfield is also "spot on" and way better for same type food. read more

Meh. They were having a special on hotdogs so I gave them a try. I was not impressed. The hotdogs seemed almost undercooked... It seems like these were only cooked them for as long as they absolutely had to, and not a second more. The buns on both hotdogs were both hard on one end, which makes me believe they were probably stored "exposed" on that end. read more

Overall, Sonic is not a bad place. I used to be skeptical, because in their TV commercials, their food seems to be made of plastic. However, each burger I've had here has been very good. Same with the shakes - they're not exactly healthy, but yummy nonetheless. Service is good. In Westfield, they're using an automated ordering process. Servers deliver food to your car on roller skates, which is kind of cool. The ambiance is reminiscent of old drive-ins, which is nice. read more

Server squeezed the top of the cup when she handed it to me and spilled coffee on my car and on me....and even though it may have been a nervous laugh, there was nothing funny. Along with this, I ordered 4 different times, and they kept deleting my order. They messed up my name, and the payment was off. When they first opened, I was at this Sonic at least twice a week, ordering the same drink (RT 44 diet cherry limeade with strawberries), sometimes by itself, sometimes with a meal. After a few months I noticed that they were making the drink different every time. I ordered it many times from the history on the app, so I didn't order it differently, but I never knew what I would get. Sometimes there would be no cherry flavor, sometimes very little strawberry (even though I paid extra for it), and I was supposed to get a cherry, but sometimes I would get none and occasionally I would get 4 or 5. I gave up when I had one and after a few hours I tested my blood sugar and it was extremely high. I realized they must not have used diet Sprite. I sent a message to the restaurant and they gave me a free drink (with purchase), but it was wrong again. I sent another message but didn't get a reply. I stopped going there for about 6 months. When I went back, I didn't get any cherry flavor or cherry and very little strawberry. I'm not going back. The food's been good, but they advertise their drinks, but they don't make them consistently, so you have no idea what you'll get. read more

I ordered for a pick up thru Uber and the manager (a bearded male) was so rude, unprofessional, and confrontational. She rudely asked me to pick up the order at the patio. I said "I am just wondering if you could get the order for me since I have a sick, sleeping baby in the car" we just got home from the urgent care. He yelled "how are you going to make a delivery with a baby then?" I was like "Well, the food is mine! I'm not a driver." He kept proceeding to be rude and mean. When I said that I am going to file a complain on him and he just shrugged and walked away. That was uncalled for. You get yelled at for no reason for being a customer. It's 10pm, late, two tired parents, a grumpy 1yr old, and two dogs in the very back as we are headed to a family's house for the night. We needed dinner and just got baby to sleep... Yay Sonic is open! Too bad the experience SUCKED. Teenagers working were rude af. I questioned why my fries and drink in my combo were upped to a "Large size" as I only asked for a small and I wanted Groovy fries-"Well large fries are the Groovy Fries. That's what we call them.." No they were just too lazy to refund me and correct my purchase so I was incorrectly overcharged. Two workers running out the side to the parking spots decide to peek faces close to the back window and rile up our dogs who are understandably spooked and want to protect us. I hush them up as the baby wakes up startled and upset then the dumbasses run back up to the window thinking it's funny upsetting the dogs once more. I don't think they knew we had a kid in the car but even still you don't do that to strangers' dogs...common sense? No. Maturity? Negative. I then sit in the drive thru as my wife quickly checked again to make sure we had everything and we needed sauce. Another young girl comes up to the window huffs and asks rudely if we needed something else. I listed off three sauces, she rolled her eyes and huffed again and grabbed them. The same who claimed Lg fries=groovy fries (too tired to fight with some kid). Never have I had such apathetic and immature service. I'm NOT much older than them but I would never do that to someone older than me, just not raised that way. All in all the vibes were bad. The food was extremely subpar. And as expensive as everything is nowadays I'm pissed I was over charged. I don't care how minute it seems to these kids. Once daddy stops paying for everything maybe then they'll get the picture. I'm a dasher it instructs us to pull into a drive up spot and wait for staff to bring to us. she told me no I need to come to the patio doors and they are still making it (hadn't told her the name yet) when I went to pick up she tried to have me wait outside it's 1degree with windchill no I came in. I showed her what our instructions show and that she needed to not have an attitude and she proceeded to say it's because too many dashers don't speak English?
