I was really not that excited until I sat down on my second visit and noticed that this was the cleanest most delicious meal I have ever had in a Denny's. We visited one of our favorite Sunday morning/afternoon spots again this week. The location was pretty busy, in comparison to some of our visits, but we were happy to have not been given a wait time. We were seated right away by a gentleman named Kevin, who appeared to be acting in the capacity of a host and busser. We noticed a new manager on staff and felt that some of the better service elements may have been due to his presence. I ordered what I believed to be one of my more recent "tried and true" options of the chicken strips and fries. They were not as good as they have been on my past two visits. I feel as if they've gone back to whatever frozen and flash-fried option they used in the past. They weren't nearly as flavorful, and the crispy coating didn't taste fresh. It was thick and hard like the ones you can find in the grocery store's freezer section. All of the staff appeared to be busy, though, checking the restrooms for cleanliness, visiting tables to offer coffee refills, and running food out to guests. It really appeared to be a valiant team effort, and we can always appreciate that. Our server, Lilly, was upbeat, kind and attentive. We will always return to a place for good service...I'll just have to find something different to order on our next visit. read more

Very disappointed about my breakfast trip to Denny's today. After finding a place to park, my wife and I headed in. We didn't get our normal "Welcome to Denny's" greeting. Today's greeting from Teresa was letting me know there was a 45 minute wait on food. I was surprised to hear this since they weren't packed. There were several empty booths and tables and the bar had empty spots. I guess I feel like there could have been a better way to handle it and I really doubt it would've taken that long to get a food order anyway. We've been to Denny's many times and even with a packed house the food doesn't take that long. The average time for food is anywhere from 20-30 minutes once we place our order. I guess I'm just a little frustrated because I was looking forward to Denny's today. read more

Went in for a quick breakfast for dinner moment but was not met with the best experience. The food was subpar as the bacon was covered in grease, sausage links were very crisp, I didn't mind, but the hash browns were lukewarm and flavorless. Lots of salt & pepper was needed for the entire meal. The restaurant itself seemed very dirty and they clustered all their guest into the same small section. Apryl, my server, was very welcoming and helpful with the menu. Being the only server working, she remained very calm and friendly as the tables began to fill up. She is the only reason you are getting 2 stars. I would have expected much better being in Westfield, IN. read more

For a limited time, Dennys is offering the Original Grand Slam for $5.99. So we thought we'd go give it a try. Figured $5.99 was a good deal since it came the 2 eggs, 2 bacon, 2 sausage links and 2 pancakes. My wife and I both got the Grand Slam. We ordered a side of hash browns for $3.49. We read the menu wrong and thought it was $1.29. We thought $3.49 was a bit much for what we got. We could buy an entire bag of hash browns at the grocery for that price! Then again, we thought our mistaken price of $1.29 was a great deal. So, maybe a better price is somewhere between the two. The pancakes were huge and filling. Very light and fluffy. The eggs were cooked to order and came out just as we wanted. The bacon was tiny thin strips. We'd have liked larger and thicker strips of bacon. It was underwhelming on the plate. Food was delivered promptly and was hot. Server was rushed and not real cordial. But, they were busy with crowds from Grand Park. Cashier had the same disposition... not very friendly. However, the a server at a nearby table appeared more pleasant. We will return for the $5.99 Grand Slam as long as it's on sale. The menu full price at this location is $10.49. read more

Worst experience at a Denny's that I've ever had. I ordered a lumberjack slam with eggs over easy with the pumpkin pancakes- waited nearly an hour for my food and when it finally arrived the eggs were prepared wrong. She took them back to the kitchen (mind you, at this point everything else on the plate was correct- ham, hashbrown, bacon... etc.) however when she brought the food BACK to the table for the second time, all that was on the plate was two eggs and two tiny strips of bacon. ALL OF MY OTHER FOOD WAS GONE. The hashbrowns, the toast, the ham.... All of it was just removed from the plate. By the time I got ANY of my food I didn't have time to have them fix it or I'd have been late for work so I said screw it and Just sucked it up and took what I was given. These arseholes charged me twenty bucks for two pancakes, two eggs, and two tiny pieces of bacon. Never Returning to this dennys and I caution anyone else who comes here to seek better service and food elsewhere. read more

I came in waiting for a seat. I had a gentleman checking out A few customers. He looked over at me and Didn't mention a thing about. I'll be right with you. After he was done with them, he said are you picking up an order for Uber? I said why would you think that is it because I am foreign? Then he didn't take kind to that. I was sat at the bar where I saw him coming behind me and started talking to his employees I said, what are you talking about? Why are you still talking and then he started to verbally threaten me and tell me, don't worry about it. If you have a problem you wanna step outside? after a few more verbal confrontations with this gentleman he went to his Manager and told her a bunch of lies about how I physically assaulted him and said I was racially profiling. Exactly what he had done to me. He is white. I am not then he came back and said get out out of here. You're being kicked out and reached from behind me and hit me on the neck and shoulder area to grab the menus from me and I would not let him grab them from me so he grabbed my phone and threw it down the counter. His name is Mike Miller. He has been fired from what I've been told. The manager Donna has no repercussion for kicking me out because she came over and kicked me out, saying I had attacked him. After the camera showed that this was the absolute lie the corporate manager called me and said they had let Mike Miller go. I do not believe this restaurant is ran properly and is not a family environment any longer. read more

We waited 1 hour after being seated to get our food. Our server was rude and dismissive when we inquired about our order. I had to go to the manager after my 54 minute wait and was advised that my order was out in 12 minutes ago. When the food came out, we discovered that our order was wrong. We ordered take out here this morning to try something different. A welcomed addition to the neighborhood. Been several years since we last dined at a Denny's because the other locations in the Indianapolis area are not good at all. I got the double cheeseburger today and that was a mistake because it's huge. I had to remove one patty so that I could eat it. The burger was delicious and I enjoyed every bite. I opted for the onion rings and they were good as well. We also got a Superbird with fries and it was delicious as well. We understand that they're understaffed, but after we waited 45 minutes another table got seated , greeted, and got their order taken. So there should've been no reason for them to not at least take our order or even greet us. It is unacceptable for us to have waited 50 minutes seated waiting for service. read more

We stopped in for dinner with about half our baseball team on Saturday the 21st around 8:00 PM after a day at Grand Park. There might have been a total of 8 tables already occupied. We told the hostess we had 24 people, but we didn't all need to sit together nor were we in a hurry. After he had a conversation with his waitress and cook staff, we were turned away, stating they couldn't handle us and it'd be a hassle for their staff. Very disappointed in the staff and I can tell you it'll be a while before we visit again. read more

I would like to say that this was the first time this has happened at this establishment, but unfortunately it is not, hence the review! After being seated we waited about 7 minutes to be greeted by our server. She finally got to our table and took our order. My daughter orders the kids chocolate chip pancakes, my son ordered the BYO grand slam, and I ordered the pot roast bowl. After about 10 minutes the kids food came, they loved the pancakes, but my sons hash browns and bacon were burnt to a crisp. My food did not come (I was told just another couple of minutes.) I would've brought the hash browns and bacon to our servers attention except it would be another 20 minutes until she made it back to our table (again without my pot roast) and by that point my kids were completely done with their pancakes and my son didn't want to wait on fresh hash browns or bacon. In this 20 minutes without my food I observed two managers (I'm assuming, since they were dressed nicer with name tags, and not dressed like the service staff) standing with two or three other employees at the end of the bar eating their food and chatting. They looked serval times over at our table, and could clearly see I was annoyed and looking for someone that could get our servers attention, or at the very least jump in and HELP our very busy server or the kitchen staff so that maybe after 30 minutes I could finally get my food. Instead they just stood there doing nothing but chatting, and eating. After finally seeing our server at the food window I (just loud enough for her to hear without yelling) asked her if she would just box up my meal as we were all ready to leave. After I hear her tell the kitchen to box it up to go I hear them yell back to her "ARE YOU SERIOUS?" (As if they were the ones that were being put out instead of ME who had been waiting 30 minutes for my food.) After hearing that, I said back to her "actually just go ahead and cancel my order. Finally she gets one of the managers to come take my food off my bill. I was expecting one of the managers to make their way over to my table to at the very least apologize and maybe offer to send me with the boxed up pot roast for my inconvenience. Again I was disappointed, but at this point I was not surprised by the abismal costumer service we had experienced up to that point! I hope this feedback helps, and that no one else experiences this kind of service at this restaurant again! For myself and my family, we will not be returning! We went in for a family dinner on a weeknight & enjoyed our meal. The staff was very nice from taking our name for the waitlist, to the service staff, & management. Due to larger numbers of people because of it being near opening day, we did wait a bit longer than I would have anticipated for our food to come out from the kitchen. My husbands food came out about 10/15 minutes after the rest of the food. The service staff was very nice and did their best to expedite it so he could eat with the rest of our family. I enjoyed the breakfast foods the best, and think they did a good job preparing it. Looking forward to going back for carry out and seeing how the items do when we take them home to eat. read more
