Went to get my legs waxed, while waiting for a worker I noticed ants crawling around on the ground. Then i saw one of the workers finish a pedicure and start cleaning the area, she literally used the towel she dried the lady's feet with to wipe the washing bowl and floor. She pushed the toenail clippings under the washing bowl, then she told me to go into the waxing room. When i entered the waxing room a customer was just leaving it and there was hair on the bed and pillow. The sanitary paper only was on the pillow and it had a wet spot and hair on it. The lady that waxed my legs said lay down, I stood there in horror, and said no it's not clean. Then she flipped the paper over and said lay down. I was still shocked and so she rolled the paper over, so that there was a new layer over the wet dirty layer. I lay down and she goes to town. She got wax all over my shorts (I was only having the bottom half of my legs waxed), left wax all over my legs, and missed spots. They even had the nerve to ask for a tip and said "is that all" when I only gave them a couple undeserved dollars. read more

Initially, I was being nice by giving them two stars. Even now, I wish I could give them half a star. The service is and, from what I've read, continues to be terrible. I made an appointment and still had to wait 30 mins before I was even seated in a pedicure chair. The people that work there only care about your money and don't seem to understand that the service received is directly correlated to the tip you receive and the return service and recommendations give. I detest this place and will NEVER return. read more

Went in for a pedi and the woman during the leg massage allowed her breast to touch the bottom of my foot and did not allow me some space to relax my foot. Guess she couldn't read that my flexed foot was not wanting to graze her boob. Hot stones were rubbed on my foot again her breast jiggeled against my foot. She said, "is dis too hot?" I said "No, I don't like your boob touching me," she said "Ah, its okay..." I said, "not for me. I don't like that." read more

I borrowed this from my mother above: My sister went into this place to redeem a gift certificate given for her birthday. Upon presenting the gift certificate the manager told her it was not valid and that the authorizing signature was a forgery. Instead of speaking to the purchasing customer who had been using this salon for ten years, when my mom arrived to pick my sister up she found 3 adults leaning over her telling her they were calling the police. She was in tears. All of the other customers were telling my mom how horribly they had treated and threatened her prior to my arrival. This store has not only lost the 10 year customer who bought this gift certificate but I hope will not recieve business from anyone I know. Its ridiculous that they questioned the certificate but its even worse that they refused to find the truth and then treated a young girl like a criminal who thought she was there for a birthday wish. Very, very poor customer service. Non-existent people skills. Just plain not nice people! read more

I had never been to this salon before and I definitely will not be returning. The whole time I was there the woman was talking on her phone and barely said a word to me. She got around 7-8 phone calls and would pick it up, talk for like 5 minutes and then hang up no matter what point she was on doing my nails. So unprofessional! Then when all finished I had dried polish/powder ( once pointed out she mostly fixed) all over the sides of my skin and my nails were filed crooked and some areas not at all. There are areas that should have been filed down that were not. I wish I would've examined them a bit more before leaving....Ugh I will definitely stick with my previous salon. read more

The place isn't bad. It's also not great. I had my eyebrows done and they turned out uneven. Their nail service is okay... But you can get better for their prices. I would suggest considering going someplace else. It's pricey and the quality isn't worth the cost. read more

Everything I would expect from a good pedicure. They even used hot stones on my legs! It was wonderful! I've never had that before. They were friendly and attentive as well. My husband and I walked in off the street and we were getting pedicures done maybe three minutes later. So take all the negative reviews with a grain of salt. read more

I have been very happy with Sonny's nails. I never have to wait more then 5 min. to get service. They do a the best job on eyebrows! They do a beautiful job on nails. I don't know why others have been so hard on them. I have never had any of those problems and have gone their for 2 years. The prices are reasonable as well. read more

Service is horrible! They're rude and don't take people in the order they come in. I've watched them tell people to come back in 20 minutes just to seat someone else who just walked in the door 5 minutes later (not an appointment deal). They do a below average job and every time the older lady or one of the guys touch my feet, I always have to combat an ingrown toenail. If you want French tip, forget it. They do a poor job with fills and burn you which is very visible through the clear portion of the nail. They are cheap but remember, you are paying for what you get. If you want to be treated poorly, spend your time prying your nail out your tender skin, and still have nails that look like a 7 year old did them, then by all means- Sonnys is your place. Otherwise, I strongly suggest going elsewhere. read more

I really like the way my nails turned out I'll give them that. Normally when I go to nail salons they give me about a 15 minute estimate if I walk in without an appointment and I'm sitting in my nails are done I was the only one in the nail salon and there was only one nail technician working on a Saturday really?! Another lady walked in without asking the lady if she had an appointment she started working on the other ladies nails while I sat there for 45 minutes I was kind of trapped because the nail technician had already started on my nails. So then finally she gets to my nails which takes about another 2025 minutes I told her I really needed to get to work and she still did a good job I'll give her that. The prices were actually a little bit high for the service that I got normally I pay $25 for a fill but here it was 35 you would think more people would be working there if they were charging so much probably won't return again read more

Horrible customer service. Came back after 3 days because my mom and I shellac polish was chipping. She wanted to charge us for a fill instead of fixing it for cheaper. Not the first time we have troubles with their polish. Seems like the water it down too much with alcohol. Will not be going back for sure.. read more

I wish I saw these reviews before going to this place. I went to this place yesterday for a fill and pedicure. I originally wanted a pedicure with shellac, but after the nail tech said it was $45 I told her I would do the regular polish on my toes and shellac on my nails. She then told me that a regular pedicure was $20. This is when I should have left. They ask me to sit in the chair for my pedicure and I notice that there is already water in the basin from what appears to be the last customer. I ask her about the water and she says they just cleaned it she then proceeds to "clean" it again. I told you, I should have left. I'm crunched for time so the nail tech says she will do my fill the same time as another Tech does my pedicure. Everything is going well until the nail tech doing my nails starts to shape my nails. The shape is off and weird and not the coffin shape I asked for. I ask her about it and she says that it's supposed to look like this. Did I mention that i should have left. Anyway, we get past the shape and I figure she'll even it out once the acrylic is one. Wrong! Once she starts putting the arycrlic on I tell her that I do not want my nails thick, because once you put the shellac on it would may the nails look thick. Not only does she layer the acrylic on but once she gets to the shellac she puts 5 I repeat 5 coats of shellac on. By this time the tech doing my feet is still doing the pedicure, he asked me what color I want and I say white. I swear he used some strange off white color with pink undertones. It was not white. Again, I'm in a rush so i figure what the hell, I only have to wear them for 2 weeks. I'm ready to pay and the nail tech says the pedicure was $25, I tell her that she told me $20 and she straight up tells me the I did not understand her English. I tell her that I did not misunderstand because there is nothing wrong with my hearing or her accent and she told me $20. needless to say I paid for the crap job that they did and went to Burien Nails and had Tina fix both my nails and feet. read more

I have come to Sonnys about half a dozen times, there is usually some wait. Today, I called in to see when I should stop by and how busy they currently are. I was told that they are not busy and to come now. I arrived to find every chair full, every waiting chair full, and techs working on multiple people at once. I was left soaking in a luke warm foot bath for 50 minutes before my pedicure finally began. It's so inconsiderate of service oriented businesses to disrespect customers' time and schedules. read more

I don't like to argue and look crazy like I'm wrong so I let it go but I will be posti first from now on. Just ridiculous for these bubble filled Gel nails. Bubble cause she can't polish. I went into sonnys for a polish change. We walked in to the extremely overwhelming smell of nail polish and chemicals. After having no success trying to take off my nail polish with "remover", the woman doing my nails grabbed a drill and began buffing down my nails (natural nails, mind you). I explained that these were my nails and I really did not want them to be buffed down, but she argued that because I had gel, it was the only option. I then explained that I did not have gel, but she continued to argue that I did. After 2 more "mishaps" she realized that the remover she was trying to use was too watered down to work. And that she had in-fact buffed down my real nails, not gels. After an hour of this nonsense, I went to pay (which I should not have had to) And the woman told me that she was going to charge my card $10, instead of the $7 she had previously told me, because the min was $10. I looked around and explained that there was no sign, so no, it would not be ok if she charged me $10.....She begrudgingly charged me $7 and I left......Do Not waste your time here.....Not good business! read more
