I got there and had my pedicure first and they prepped my nails prior to the gelx full set application and design. The pedicure is pretty nice with inclusive services with a separate menu on how much pampering and services you want with a pedicure. They offered a complimentary drink with the pedicures only it seems as I went for a gelx fill only but wasn't offered any beverages during my second visit. After my pedicure, I waited another 15 minutes before I could move to the next part of my gelx services. The owner Rosie seems apologetic for the inconvenience, mentioned calling in for appts is recommended to prevent any double booking w the online services. Came in for a full set for my friend's granddaughter. The Service requested turned out exactly like the picture that she showed them. The quality was good and it had a nice vibe they even served I think wine or champagne for the adults who are getting services. It was very clean, but I must tell you that the smell was very strong and very pungent. I did not feel they had a good ventilation system as I personally had to step out several times for clean fresh oxygen, but the people were really friendly and kind. I was running short on time to get my nails done prior to Christmas, so I happened to be in the Tacoma area, so I looked at several reviews of nail salons in the area. I actually planned to go somewhere else, but went to the gym prior and drove by this place, so while I was at the gym, I looked this place up. I got there right when they opened without an appointment. I was helped right away. The lady was super sweet. I did bleed a little bit during the filing and nail trimming portion of the manicure, but that wasn't her fault. My nail broke fairly low down on my finger, so I attempted to cut it myself. She was only doing her best to file it to make sure it matched all my other fingers. About 5 weeks later, the nails have obviously grown out, but I haven't had any chipping or anything. She kept apologizing. Nail salon is well kept and clean. Lot of nail table and chairs. Manicure was reasonably priced as well. I don't live in the area, so I don't know how often I would come to get my nails done here, but certainly if I was in the area I would come here. read more

Horrible Service!! I would give less than one star if that was an option. I took my daughter who is celebrating her 6th birthday for a mommy daughter birthday mani pedi. My daughter's nail tech, Trang was beyond unfriendly. My child excitedly tried exchange niceties with her. The only response she got other than a scowl, was me being told that she talks too much. We had discussed pricing for services at the beginning of the appointment. I thought we had decided to do gel only on my daughter's nails. She was squirmy while her gel nails hardened under the UV lights. When she took her hands out because it was too hot for her, the lady was very stern with her. Understandably, she needed some breaks when it felt like it was burning her. When Trang pulled out the UV machine & fitted it over my daughters feet, I repeated that we're not doing gel on her toes. The lady said that I had decided on gel for both nails and toes after she told me the price. Maybe I did, & misremembered, so I hesitantly agreed we could go ahead and do the gel on her toes. Honestly between being told in front of the birthday girl that she talks too much, and the harsh, rude treatment of my daughter, I should have just said "We're done," paid for services rendered and left. Being in the middle of a treatment myself, I just felt stuck. Trang got up, got another nail polish, came back, painted my daughter's nails without another word, then moved on to the next customer without a "good bye," "All done," "Thanks for coming in. " We were left confused by what was apparently the completion of my daughter's toes. The experience with my nail tech wasn't much better. She didn't do anything wrong per se. There were just no niceties exchanged as one might expect when treating themselves to a spa treatment. Maybe there was a language barrier, making conversation difficult. I won't judge harshly for that. To crush my daughter's spirits though, is unacceptable. If you don 't like children, don't offer services to children. I paid good money for a service to give my child a nice birthday, not to have her soul crushed. read more

It's a NO for me.. My appointment was at 12. Seated at 12:15pm waited for a tech to touch my toes for 32mins! I pointed out flaws so they could fix them. Pictures speak for themselves! The 1st lady said she'd fix my pinky and didn't. You can see the size difference from her vigorous filing! Second lady (Sonny) came to do my design. It just wasn't uniform. The edges weren't painted completely. I told her. She went over it again. After pulling my nails out of the UV light the 1st time, it looked like the white was cracking. She told me it was bc I moved my hand..after that I I decided, that it wasn't going to be good job, you could tell she was rushing. After every fingernail painted she's ask " look ok" and I'm just saying " it's ok" bc what's the point. Her response was "just ok not pretty" I gave the same response again. Then she comments "she's not happy" I tell her I'm particularly I like it to look even a nice. which equates to her to adding another coat..? Here's what's extra sketchy tho. I go to PAY$ and it comes to $95 lol I do NOT tip! But my receipt says CUSTOM ITEM and that's it.. not Gel Pedi + Fill Gel or whatever. Just CUSTOM item. I don't know if I was charged more or not. She knew I wasn't happy, most likely not tipping. We Pay too much money for someone not to take their time. Especially when I waited in the pedi area for 30 mins! My appointment was at 12! The whole reason I schedule appointments is so you don't have to rush with me. Why even schedule a appointment?? I Won't be back. Going back to Capricorn Nails it's worth the extra $$ 2 s bc the pedi lady was a little more thorough then the other ones. read more

Im busy and I tip 10-15 $ I expect good quality not fast rush service that i got at nail pro. So disappointed.
