I actually like this place better than the San Diego Safari Park…read more The parking lot can be packed if you go on a weekend. The check-in process was pretty easy also. We checked-in with our tour guide and let him know that we were joining another family. They put us in the same jeep. They can fit 4 people on the roof but you must be a certain height. I would want to ride above but it was really sunny so I didn't want to get burnt, lol. You'll ride through many many acres of land with all types of animals. They have varieties of antelope that freely roam. They can get really close to the jeep so be careful. I was surprised that the place did not really smell like poop like some other zoos, lol. The tour was like 2 hours on the jeep and another 1 hour walking tour. Our guide was very informational and had great humor too. Our kids loved it and I think all adults would enjoy it also.

We took our kids, ages 8 and 6, and they LOVED it! Our tour guide, Nicole, was awesome! She has been at Safari West for 4 years and really knows the animals, their behaviors and all the fun facts (along with some great jokes!). The jeep tour was about 2 hours, but it is engaging the whole time. We were lucky and got to see several brand new babies of multiple species!! We were all able to take turns sitting on top of the jeep, but sitting on the inside was great as well. After a short break, we did the walking tour which was the perfect ending. Also, we highly recommend the lunch buffet (which must be booked 48 hrs prior to arrival). We were all pleasantly surprised with how great the food was, plus it was kid approved as well! During our break, enjoyed some snacks from Delilah's - the dole whip was a favorite! Thank you Safari West for the awesome memories.

This review is specifically for the Charlie's Candy Shop escape room…read more We came a few months ago in a group of six. I think the Finding Bigfoot escape room wasn't even open yet. The Charlie's Candy Shop escape room was created with AI, and we genuinely felt that was a mistake. This wasn't our first escape room, but we were completely lost. So many of the instructions were confusing and didn't make any sense. All the clues were super vague. One of the instructions was incorrect ( that's why we couldn't complete the task ), and our room host told us about it after our time had ended. We also got the exact same hint twice, from the button and the paper. Overall, the room felt cheaply made, and some of the components were broken. The host also told us that the percentage of people/groups completing the room without hints from the host is zero, which, in our opinion, is odd. So I guess the room is too hard, but mostly because not much of it makes sense. We think, the clues should be more helpful and clearer than what we experienced in Charlie's Candy Shop escape room. We still have hopes for the Finding Bigfoot escape room ( assuming it wasn't created with AI ). P.S. Our host was nice and friendly. He even let us glance at the soon-to-be-open Finding Bigfoot escape room, which we really appreciated. +1 star for the host.

They have a good array of arcade games - we are partial to Jurassic Park though it always has a line, skee ball, basketball, the frogger clone game, the harpoon game - as well as things like trampolines (extra cost), the playground (a ball spill thingy, slides, 3 levels, a zip line, etc - also extra cost. We enjoy bowling during football games so we can watch and bowl and get boneless wings from victory house (and sometimes Bloody Marys). I've also come to watch friends play soccer at their different indoor courts. Only downside - it feels a bit like a germ fest. Lots of hand sanitizer and now I feel like I need to take some elderberry.

This place has been accused of being hard to deal with their subscriptions, and that has absolutely…read morebeen proven true. They will take your money and have extremely predatory contracts Upon signing up for the trial membership, we were excited to try it out. Essentially you pay for a two week membership, it was cool, but my wife and I weren't certain on things and decided to put the membership on hold. When we told them this, the employee never actually processed the "pause" on our end so I was charged. Obviously I was frustrated, but they then decided to refund me after fighting pretty hard for it, I'm assuming solely because they wanted my business back. Fast forward to a month later, In the trial agreement, and per the employees, if you put the membership on pause it will remain like that until you decide to change it. Literally says in the terms that it can stay paused for at MINIMUM 1 month. Not maximum, and their employees verified this. At no point does it say anything about reactivating my membership, yet they choose to do exactly that and charge me $180 with no explanation. Upon reaching out to the business, they took multiple days to respond to our emails, and since we were planning to cancel, they would not be refunding our money. Essentially saying "we'll keep your money now even though we had no right to charge you, because this time we won't get anymore from you" It's really disheartening to see a local business, claiming to be intertwined with the community only to find predatory practices to rip them off. At first I could see this as a form of miscommunication, but after ignoring us, then responding with a no, THEN following up with a double down on a no because it's "too late for us to process" when you took days to respond is disgusting. This business sucks, and I wanted to love it.

Great community | Strong climbing…read more I've been climbing for 18 years now. I've climbed both outdoors and indoors all over the country and in some other countries. Also, I lived in Santa Rosa for five years, connecting with this solid climbing community at another gym (including Kevin Jorgeson in this climbing community). So, with this in mind, please consider my review when deciding to come here. I'm so impressed with what K Jorg has done with this gym. It is a real upgrade to the community here. Everything about this place is well thought out. I love the aesthetics and how the layout of this place is. Upon entering, you're greeted by the front desk staff and enter the shop area. Sign up/sign in is easy and straight forward. Everything is organized and neat. To the left: ropes and autobelay To the right: bouldering Upstairs: workout training If you're new to climbing, the setting here is on the stiffer side compared to franchise gyms like Movement (planet granite). It's not a bad thing, really, because you know that you're going to become a strong climber. It's tougher grades, but the routes are intuitive enough to read and flow on the walls. I didn't find routes forced or requiring awkward movements. The kid teams were in that day when I went and it was impressive watching them go through their routines with ease. This is also the first time I've seen a gym have custom tags with matching color hardware! Again, K Jorg put a lot of thought into this place and it shows. You can feel and see the community here. From the seasoned climbers to the young newbies, everyone is happy and sharing the stoke. They're happy to connect and literally hang out together. This is why I love to climb. If a facility lacks a good community, it's no different than another franchise gym where you're just a number. Last thing I wanna mention that furthers the community aspect is the memorial wall to B-RAD foundation. The beautiful photos up are also of those in the climbing community too. This isn't just another gym that popped up. It's a place where people matter and the setting is quality.

On a recent Saturday morning, my wife and I joined a small group of others in an archery class at Backroom Archery-Turra's. We entered through the retail shop, where that was filled with all kinds of archery paraphernalia that I had no idea about, and we were escorted through a back door to a big room-- the range. Our husband and wife team provided safety information and then handed out bows. They worked step by step to help us learn body positions with the bow that would help us become successful archers. Then we practiced launching some 8 arrows down towards the targets. Many of our arrows missed their target-- some sliding down the floor and others striking the thick padded blanket at the end of the room. After each volley (?) of arrows, they would go over another new technique to refine our posture, and each time our accuracy improved. By the end of our class, they had us pin a balloon to the target. I'm still impressed that I was able to pop the balloon two separate times (when the range was clear, we would all walk down the range and collect our arrows and get set for the next round). It was a fun way to spend the morning and for me, quite satisfying. I now have a lot of respect for those Olympic archers-- and Katniss Everdeen. My only suggestion is to wear long sleeves if it's a cool morning. The range room is a big space with a concrete floor and was a little cool. I've recommended the experience to friends and look forward to returning someday-- will be a great activity on a rainy day.

My puppies really liked the big open grassy areas of the dog park and although we don't let them off leash since their huskies, and they would run into everyone's yard to explore, They had a fun time within the dog park itself and liked running and digging around the roots of the tree. Lol there were two other dogs they could play with there at the same time as us but I really like how this park is in the middle of a neighborhood, and then even had a great playground for kids along with four or five different workout equipment pieces around the whole park so if you were running, you could clock your mileage on the ground with markers as well as doing each of the five different Workout equipment pieces. The only downfall I would say is that the water fountain is outside of the gates of the dog park so it seems like giving dogs was an afterthought while they're running around, but it was easy to access and get the dogs water after they were running around. When we come to Santa Rosa again, we will definitely check out this dog park. I will definitely get another coffee carburetor with coconut milk! Hee.
