For a first visit, this was a good one. The first thing I noticed when walking in was how clean, organized, and beautifully decorated this business was. This could even be an example store for other Sourdough & Co locations. We originally ordered food to go. However, we decided to eat there since it was so pleasant. When we arrived, we were early, so our order was not prepared yet. We told the employees to take their time, yet they were very eager to get our order to us. While we waited, I decided to use the bathroom, and that too was decorated beautifully and was very clean. My husband ordered the 6" smoked brisket sandwich & I ordered the Cobb salad with no blue cheese. We both got a side of fresh sourdough. My husband said the smoked brisket sandwich was tender, and the flavor was delicious. My salad was generous in size, fresh, and flavorful. The presentation, flavor, and quantity of both of our selections were better than our previous experiences at fancier eateries. Checked out the new Sourdough & Co. in Sonoma for lunch. Very clean and nice sandwich shop, friendly staff. I ordered a 4" turkey on sourdough with lettuce, tomato, Dijon, Monterey jack and the store's mayo-based signature sauce. It was toasted. I had a combo with a bag of chips and a fountain drink. $13.94 before tax and tip. The sourdough bread and sandwich overall was delicious. If you're not a sourdough person, you can get wheat, marble rye, lettuce wrap and gluten free wraps. You can also buy loaves of sourdough. While not the "cheapest" sandwich around, the quality of the ingredients were very good. I was impressed and I'll be going back very soon. Probably my favorite sandwich in Sonoma. read more

I think this might be my first five star review of a fast, casual sandwich shop, but they really hit the nail on the head with our most recent visit. Located in a strip mall sits Sourdough serving up some craftily created staples. Ordered the Cobb salad and a turkey sandwich which were carefully constructed on their delicious, soft, and crunchy sourdough bread. Kind of like a Subway, but with real sandwich artists making in house sourdough bread with quality ingredients. Service was kind and responsive and the restaurant was clean and free of any messes from prior customers. Also have a few outdoor seats near a garden area for a more private dining experience. read more

Cloudy Thursday afternoon lunch, stopped by to try the new Sourdough & Co store in Sonoma. It's a cute casual shop, I purchased a cup of fire roasted veggie soup and a 6 inch Garlic Pesto Turkey sandwich. The sandwich was delicious! And enough for both my daughter and I to share. My daughter really enjoyed the soup, I personally thought it was a bit bland nothing special, and wish I had a bit more variety, However sandwich over rules any negativity. I will definitely consider for catering! And would be welcomed by any hungry bellies in the office. read more

I have tried 3 different sandwiches over time the roast beef, a turkey and ham. They were all very good, they make the sandwich's fast and served warm if you want that. The meat is fresh and all of the other ingredients were also fresh and delicious. Considering that they need to start from scratch to make these, they are prepared fast and serviced when they are warm. read more

I ordered a cold sandwich - it came toasted I ordered the sandwich with pesto mayo - got mayo I paid 14 dollars for a 6" sandwich with lettuce the quality of burger king . We stopped here for andwiches on the way home from Sonoma. It's hard to find a sandwich shop that's not a Subway, so this was a happy find. The place is very bright and welcoming, with an easy-to-read menu hanging up. The three young ladies we dealt with were all friendly. Just picked up a 6 inch Roast Beef Sandwich and was met by Angela at the register....not a friendly happy person at all...was very rude and barely gave me time to review the screen. The screen said no side pickle on the screen so I asked if I could get one...so she just assumed I didn't want one:...so I chose my toppings and asked for peppers which I always get for no extra charge...the sandwich came $14.70 ....thought that was high for a simple cold sandwich....so I noticed on my receipt she charged me .50 extra for the peppers. Would have been nice if she mentioned the extra charge. Paying almost $15.00 for a sandwich to go is way too much plus the service was slow and very rude. Probably won't be back ! read more

Fabulous, unusual options at Allikai Eatery (Peruvian) and the very best sandwich in this or any other valley at Ovello (Italian). Been waiting for this place to open for quite some time as they navigated Sonoma's penchant for putting small business owners through hell getting their business open. First visit was today and I was very impressed. Had the Turkey sub and it was everything a sub sandwich should be. Fresh crusty bread and old school properly constructed sammies. Shredded lettuce and thin sliced tomato and onion with high quality meat and a great spicy mayo. Nice place and nice people running the place as well. Look forward to the next visit. read more

This place had a lot of potential but I can see why it might not last. First of all the price is outrageous. It's just way too expensive for a sandwich that's really small. Second the portion size is ridiculous you can barely find the meat in the sandwich. It's almost non existent and it looks nothing like the picture. The picture shows the sandwich with a lot of meat stacked on and you barely get a 1/4 of that. That's very deceiving and disappointing. If you are going to charge that much for a simple sandwich I want to know there is meat actually on it. For $9 you can get a stacked sandwich at Sonoma market that is way more satisfying and noticeably has meat. You don't have to ever question if the sandwich has any protein on it. The $9 sandwich you get at Sonoma market is bigger than the $18 you get here. You can even add bacon for no extra charge. It puts this place to shame. Another thing is they have a free side pickle option that you find out about later that the person at the register should ask you about. Yes I would have liked that if I knew. I know there are people that don't like pickles but don't just assume we all don't. That could've added an extra star to this review. If you want to add peppers and all that extra stuff they charge so beware it could get really expensive for no reason. Regardless the bread and ingredients were fresh so I give this place 3 stars for that. This place could easily have been a favorite and 5 stars if they didn't skimp and over charge. read more
