I had a highly disappointing experience at Sonora Quest Laboratories today at their 6106 E. Brown location. Despite my scheduled appointment and following all the instructions like fasting and bringing my lab orders. I was refused a basic blood draw simply because they were missing a minor detail about where to send the results. I offered a simple workaround, but they refused and told me to come back another time. It's really frustrating that I had to rearrange my day for something that should be basic administrative work on their end, and not something the patient should be taking care of. I visited the Sonora Quest lab at 155 E Warner after my doctor recommended tests, a location that, amusingly, isn't even listed on Yelp. I asked to schedule an appointment, but the two staff behind the counter were absorbed in their phones. One finally tossed me a card with a QR code and said, "Scan this to book." I did, and arrived for my 7:30 slot, signed in at 7:25, only to be ignored until after 8:00. The same woman who gave me the card then called to request my insurance information. I pointed out my appt time, and she said I wasn't on their schedule, and hinted that multiple people were having trouble with the booking system. Frustrating, untrustworthy, unprofessional, and avoidable... bypass this location if you can zero stars! read more

Since they stopped having people help at the front desk, this place is horribly slow. They started having you email orders to them once you got in the back. That creates a bottleneck. Today they took me back a half hour after my appointment time. Then sent me back to the lobby after I emailed my order and said it would take a half hour. it takes a minute to receive an email and she could have entered the info as she waited for the email to come through. Melissa was amazing. Usually takes the tech a couple tries, a long time of checking or someone else coming in to get my blood but Melissa got me first try and only had to look for a vein for 2 secs. Bam I was outta there. Very cool to be in and out and not stuck multiple times. read more

U wanted to take a picture of her but I still have a little respect left. My experience here has been nothing but frustrating. Had an appointment on 11/6/25. Came in and was told I needed to call a service number to make sure my lab request was in the system. Did that fairly easily but when I tried to confirm if they had received it by waking back in from the phone call they have no one manning the front desk. To the point where I was there at least 45 min in total and never saw anyone at the front desk. I guess once they got the check-in kiosks that meant no one needs to be up front for in person questions. What annoyed me about this experience even more was that I'm waiting at the front desk to ask my question and staff will see you and proceed to grab there prints and go on about there day. Even if you can't help tell somebody you see a line at least. In stead someone came out and rather ask me who was first in line what I needed help with the guy helps the woman behind me who had been there all of 2 min, meanwhile I had been in line 6 or so minutes at that point. Just the awful customer service people hate having at these types of medical facilities. I then get inside and get my appointment done but asked the physician to sign my form I needed signed for work. They half assed it and did not fill it out correctly. Now I have to likely go up here again and get it filled out properly. As if I have unlimited free time. They also didn't bother to submit the form to my work on their end despite saying they would. Lastly, I've been calling about this since last week. The call you back option is a joke. They will either call you and hang up so they don't have to bother doing the call, or today I requested a call back and they purposely called my phone so that it went straight to voicemail. My phone never rang so they had to intentionally call using an option to skip my phone ringing all together. So now my option is to write this review after being on hold 30 min. If this fails I will have no choice but to go to the office, because F my free time. read more

Im giving one star as ZERO was not an option. The Nextdoor app has a post with neighbors reacting to this unprofessional nonsense. Right now Sonora Quest at this location, think they are cute or clever by wrapping the windows in gift paper and hiding out. \ Sign posted on top of the paper saying do not tap or knock on the glass. THIS IS NOT OK It has infuriated the neighbors here. I fully intend on contacting corporate about it and the lackadaisical attitude there. * Bruce however, is knowledgeable and back there behind the glass somewhere but he is the ONLY ONE with any sense there. But try and talk to him... This unfortunately does not override the disrespect to the clients. We can go to Labcorp !! It's next door ya know. We can also order our own labs. If you want to play games like this you will ulrtimately pay the price and lose your clients to other entities that show them respect. The kiosks do not always function as they should - many elderly are not electronically inclined or computer savvy. I am speaking for them. I was my doctor's office last week and he required I do a 24 hour urinalysis collection test and I was originally scheduled to take it back to the lab that they have on Broadway but for some reason they weren't open today so we ended up at this location and the place was super busy so I was expecting this to be a long wait just to drop off my test but it turned out to be super fast and the lab tech was super handsome and polite so I highly recommend this location instead of their lab on Broadway. read more

Awesome! This location is my first choice for any lab needs. Very easy to Make an appointment online and very fast! I checked in at kiosk with barcode and was called back within minutes! I've had to come here 4 times in the past 6 weeks because my body is a medical nightmare. Every time I have had to come, I have been treated extremely well, with kindness and respect. My experience has been different than a lot of other people's. I usually come in later, not first thing in the morning (which means I'm starving by the time I get my blood work done lol). This last visit was amazing. I waltzed in and before I could finish at the kiosk, the front desk called me up, took my paperwork (all the while smiling!) And told me to take a seat. About 5-6 minutes later I was in the back having my blood drawn. Total time from entering to exit? About 15 minutes. Outstanding! The front desk personnel were very upbeat and friendly. Maybe it's because I'm upbeat and friendly? Who knows, but I've always had positive experiences here with the staff in the front and back of the lab. read more

BETTY LIGHT should NOT be working in the medical field. I dont know how or why she ever got hired, but she is ridiculous. She is not only USELESS but also the most DISRESPECTFUL person ive ever met in the medical field. The way she talks to not only myself, but the elderly patients in this building is DISGUSTING.! With me everything started when i walked in, and it was 10 minutes before close, so she was upset and wanted me to know, so she said OUT LOUD about 4 times NO F***ing way , no fu***** way, just because I walked in, and she rather go home. And thats not the only example of her rudeness towards me. When it comes to the elders, she speaks to them with no respect at all, and ignores them when they do not know how to sign in with the computer kiosk thingy, because she doesn't want to get up off the chair. Ive helped a couple times myself. Its just sad. "She barely has a heart" for these kind of things , and does not belong in a field like this. People who walk in here and NEED YOU already have SO MANY problems, all they want is for ONE thing to go right. They are not there for YOU, Betty Light, to make feel worse . Ive been coming to this location once a week since last year unfortunately , and this is my complain. *On a BETTER NOTE before i leave this page, JASON Cleveland which i believe is the manager at this location IS AWESOME, and has always taking care of me, even tho there has always been some kind of issue every-single-time. No problem though, HE figures it out GETS IT DONE. (And for that I thank you Jason). The negative reviews made me a little cautious, but I had a great experience here. My doctor insisted I get my blood drawn before 9am, so my appointment options were a little limited, but I was able to get a time slot within a week. The website could use some work to make it easier to navigate, but it wasn't too bad. I arrived 10 minutes early, checked in on a tablet, then provided my insurance card for a quick scan. The waiting room was clean, but very cold, with only a few people there who were quickly seen. (On the check-in tablet, you can choose to wait elsewhere and get a text, which may be a good option if you're too cold.) I waited about 12 minutes, and was seen only a few minutes after my scheduled appointment time. My appointment only took about 10-15 minutes. I had Katlyn and she was wonderful - gentle and nice to chat with. read more

I had a great experience at this Sonora Quest. I have a phobia of needles and am always anxious to get my blood drawn. I went in for routine lab work and got really nervous when I was in the chair. The phlebotomist, I believe his name was Jason, was patient, gentle and kind. He explained everything to me and didn't make me feel bad for being nervous. It was one of the easiest blood draws I've had - quick, painless, and most importantly an understanding technician. I walked in on a Friday afternoon without an appointment and was seen in 20 minutes. The women at the front desk were pleasant and helpful. This place used to be average but they have tanked lately. -wait time for appointments are ridiculous -They cancelled my order without explanation and didn't communicate with me or my doctor. I found out when I checked with my doctor that they received my results -Booking an appointment on the website is frustrating and not intuitive -After 30 minutes of signing in at the kiosk, they still had not called me up, so I went up to the window to get adequate assistance -There is no way to talk to a person if you had problems and need to get a re-draw. You have to go down in person and wait, despite their error. I did leave a message but did not get a call back. -My doctor's office said they have noticed a big downturn in Sonora Quest's service. Too bad for me that was the only lab that could perform the service I needed. read more

Watching employees get mad at older Customers who don't understand how to sign in on their kiosk that barely works. Don't go here. The sign outside says appointments only. Their doors are locked. They do not offer a phone number for their other labs. I found a general number after about 10 minutes of pushing buttons on a general phone number, a very nice lady in her car told me she found one of their labs. It's too darn hot here to just leave sick people out in the sun. I get having precautions and being busy but come on give a phone number or address to help those who are sick. my doctor ordered blood work. I work a Monday through Friday 8-5 job so I cant just make an appointment and go in during the week. I decide to do the Saturday walk in clinic that says they are open from 7am-11am. I walk into the office at 7:04am (I checked the time right as I entered) and the lobby was full of 25-30+ people who were already checked in. which means they opened early. I checked in on the kiosk and waited. 15 minutes later I thought I heard my name. I walked up and asked "hey, did you call [my name]?" the front desk completely ignored me and asked for my referral. I asked again if they called my name and what appeared to be the office manager went "no, I called Amanda" in a super rude tone. so I went back to standing around because there was nowhere to sit. 30 minutes later I still had not been called up to provide the referral and insurance. the staff is rude and based off of what I could gather from the other patients they open 20-30 min early from the 7am open time every Saturday. if you're going to open early consistently despite what the website and maps say then that needs to be updated, because that is not fair to the people who don't have psychic abilities to know you guys open 30 min early every Saturday. I was only dropping off a fecal self-test that could've been mailed. BUT I thought I would save time and drop it off. I followed the directions given to me as if I was going to mail it. When I tried to hand it to the receptionist, I was told that I needed to sign in at the kiosk. I told her that I didn't have an appointment and I was only dropping off a test. Sign in anyway and wait to be called. After about 5 minutes, I was called to the window. Again, I tried to hand her the envelope. This time I was asked if I had the doctor's order. I told her it was in the sealed envelope. She directed me to open it. REALLY?! After retrieving the order, I was told to air back down and wait to be called. After about another 5 minutes, was called to the door of the inner sanctum. I handed the nurse my opened envelope and she asked me if that was it. i said yes, and she told me that I was free to go. My complaint is that if I had just mailed the darn thing, they would've had to open the envelope in one easy step and I wouldn't have wasted 10-15 minutes to hand over a poop sample card! My cardiologist asked me to get my blood tested so I promptly forgot and put it off for 3 months. I have just moved and found that this Quest Laboratory was a 10 minute walk from my house. So I waited to eat and drink my precious coffee in the morning and walked over with my Doctor's order. Although, it's probably not the most friendliest laboratory on Earth, it was very efficient. I think that places that service the boatload of patients that they do, are incredibly busy and do the best that they can. I signed up, waited a few minutes. A friendly lady called my name, directed me to her office. I pointed out the best vein, she listened to me and used that vein and bing, bang, boom I was done and on my walk back home. The front desk staff was amazing :-) They seem to really enjoy working with people, even after having to answer the same questions over and over again and hear the same complaints they stayed friendly and smiley. I'd give Negative stars if I could. My location on McKellips & Stapley isn't even listed here. It took forever to get through to make an MRI appointment. I develop a sinus infection and thought it best to reschedule the Brain MRI for my ear. This time I can't get through at all and I get frustrated so I drive there just to make the new appointment! The day before the appointment, Sonora calls saying I owe $800 on my deductible - which is only $200 per year and is met. Quoting over $600 out of pocket instead of the copay. I call my insurance - seems Sonora is looking at BC BS Tier Two $1000 deductible instead of the Tier One $200. My BC BS rep puts me on hold and calls Sonora themselves - 20 minutes later she comes back and says nobody at Sonora knows what they are doing but to ask for a manager at my appointment. Next day I'm getting the run around about owing $800 deductible but they agree to just take the copay. LONG wait. Then the MRI is so loud it practically bursts me ear drums. 10 minutes and it "freezes". They reset, give me more ear padding and another ear busting 10 minutes - it freezes again and I need to reschedule. The front desk woman says their MRI machine is so old that by the middle of the day it always does this!! I ask for the very first appointment of the day & she confirms. My ear pain is now extreme, lasts over 24 hours and my ears don't stop ringing all weekend. I go for my appointment and after 30 minutes wait I ask what the delay is, I'm told that the MRI tech was late, just got there and there are 2 people ahead of me. I said no I am the first of the day. She says no you're not. Why couldn't this woman tell me before I took off from work and lost wages that my appointment would be 2 hours behind? Or even when I arrived why didn't she tell me? So I say I'm leaving, make sure to refund my deductible and I'm going to Arista Imaging next door which is where I wanted the doctor to send me in the first place. Easy to make appointment - they call me. Short wait time. Music of your choice during the test. A newer MRI machine that does not burst your eardrums. AVOID SONORA McKellips and go to Arista Imaging. read more

The gal sitting in the front Saturday 9/22/18 (black scrubs) was so rude. Not just to myself but to EVERYONE. They don't acknowledge you when you walk in the door. They are far from personable. I have never waited less than two hours and if you ask for an appointment, they tell you the next available is three weeks out. Rude, awful staff. I will definitely recommend to my insurance company and physician's office to not use these Bozos. A blood draw takes less than 2 minutes. Two hour wait is simply unacceptable. I made an appointment over the phone and asked specifically for the earliest time they has and was given 3 different times, 11:00,11:45,12:15... I picked the earliest one at 11:00! So today I arrive 10 minutes before time I check in and I noticed by 11:05 they haven't called me up to get any of my information so I go up there and I ask her what was going on That I hadn't been called up to get my insurance information or my lab slip, she tells me well what's your name very rudely I might add I tell her she says your appointment is not till 11:45 I then explained to her that I had called and made an appointment over the phone and it was supposed to be at 11 she never look back up at me or said anything else so I went and sat back down. Five minutes after that my daughter and I go sit outside for less than five minutes because it was freezing inside of the office, I then go back in and sit down as 11:45 comes around they still hadn't called me up so I went back up to the desk and the woman giving me an attitude she "said what can I do for you?" She didn't even not even make contact with me! I then explained to her that my appointment time had come and nobody had gotten my information still! So she asked me my name again and then she tells me that I had already been called and didn't come up, the guy sitting next to her then told me that he had called my name Three times and I didn't come up! I told her that I was sitting outside on the waiting bench they have right in the front of their office and how come they did not think to open the door that she sitting literally right next to to see if someone was waiting outside?? I was not the only one out there there and from where they sit they could see people just standing out there so it was obvious the person being called could be out there!! I then asked why wouldn't you think of looking right out side your door, they had done it before when I had taken my daughter there and she said "we do not go outside looking for patients "I then asked her why they have a waiting chair outside?and she explained to me that it's for the people who get to their appointments early when they're not open. She was one of the ugliest hearted people I have ever met,I felt like she was one of the rudest people I have ever had to deal with, I had been there for over an hour she did not say sorry for the inconvenience and just sat there snarling at her computer. When you are in the customer service business especially dealing with people that sometimes are ill they should always be kind and respectful making the customer feel comfortable and she did the total opposite. I then got called back by one of the sweetest phlebotomist and the rating that I am giving today is due to the front office staff the guy who did the lab work was absolutely amazing he was so kind and he really knew how to make me feel comfortable and he was quick and kind about everything so if it wasn't for him being so amazing and caring towards me and I'm pretty sure the other patients that had gone in there today I would never return! read more

The number on the website for the fax was disconnected. No orders, so they told me to make another appointment when I got my paperwork. Unbelievably slow front office. First thing is to check in electronically then 1 of the 2 people up front get you in for insurance. I went back to the bathroom and there were 5 people standing around in the back doing nothing while the waiting room was full. What choice do you have?
