I really dislike Sonora Quest. They ALWAYS have at least 1 hr+ wait times during the week and their online appointments are booked month in advanced. For those of us who have jobs or school during the week they have only a handful of locations in AZ open for a few hours on Saturdays mornings. The photo was from this Saturday morning. I drove 30 minutes with my two kids to get our fasting labs done and had to turn back home when I saw the line. In spite of their overwhelmed conditions they seem to continually close locations! Labcorp and Sonora Quest are the only options we have in AZ and they both operate the same. I wish the state or another private lab would get involved because access to lab services is terrible and continues to get worse as the population in our state increases. In this day and age there is no reason they shouldn't be able to do better. Get it together people!! read more

This place is terrible .... the guy behind the counter calls your name (Yeah three times, but the same time someone is called into the back for their blood draw without standing up from behind his cubicle) to bad he got up on the wrong side of the bed .... this guy has a real attitude.. .. is sad because the people actually doing the lab work are great ..... I'm not sure where all of the negative comments come from. I've never had a problem coming to this location. I usually wait no more than 20 minutes and that's without an appointment. Staff is very professional and friendly. I've been to some places that if you go there the employees are half asleep and make me nervous. Never had that problem here. I actually drive further to this location and pass others that are much closer to me, but I like this Sonora Quest so why change. If you have had a problem in the past, I suggest that you try them again, The employees will talk with you if you have or had an issue. read more

I went here today after making an appointment online for a 3 hour glucose tolerance test, just to be turned away in a very condescending manner by employee Jason. Instead of explaining in a calm manner he talked down to me saying I had showed up too late and states "I can't pay my people over time to stay here with you".... A request I did not make, and an unnecessary comment. I DO NOT recommend going to this location for services unless you want to be treated like dirt. read more

Just had a horrible experience here. We came in 14 minutes before close. My wife and I were asking each other if we were supposed to talk to someone or just sign in. Although there were several people on staff within earshot, nobody acknowledged us. We signed in and sat down. After about twenty minutes of waiting, we were told that we had arrived too late and they would not do our screenings. I went to speak to the woman at the counter, Yvette, and she was incredibly rude. Just about every sentence she said she was assigning blame to either us or someone else. She said that they had a sign up explaining their policy (which is true, although it's right next to a sign with bigger letters saying they're open until 11). She told us several times that we "just need to come in earlier." I tried explaining that we had been fasting for our screening and we had come in with our son and that the proper time to tell us they wouldn't do the screening is before we had been waiting for twenty minutes. I asked her for her name and instead of answering straight away she tried to get me to speak to someone else - another way for her to avoid accepting any responsibility whatsoever for the situation. I asked if there was anything she could do, and she said she couldn't because they couldn't go into overtime. The thing is, other solutions would have made the situation better. I understand that there are procedures and policies that need to be followed and I don't expect anyone to cancel their plans for the day to give my wife and I a screening. There's an old saying in customer service - tell me what you can do, not what you can't do. In this situation, if you can't give the screening, maybe set me up with an appointment so I can get it done later. If that's not possible, maybe talk with me about what hours your location is open and when the best time would be to come in. Maybe there's another location with shorter lines or something. Even if none of that is possible for some reason, a simple apology would have made a world of difference. Not an "I'm sorry you didn't read our signs" apology, but an actual sincere apology and a statement that isn't assigning blame on someone else. Normally after an experience like the one I just had, I'd never go back to the establishment. However, I need to get my screening done at Sonora Quest in order to get reimbursed. Yay. Customer service skills lacking, the heavy-set woman with glasses at the check in counter is rude and impatient with especially senior citizens. I asked her when I would be taken since I thought I was overlooked. She became defensive and condescending, which I don't believe is appropriate with your customer. I got the impression she doesn't like dealing with people. Recommend you try another location for labs. read more

Absolutely the worst place to go for a blood test. After trying for over a month to get an appointment by phone or online, I went in without an appointment on Tuesday, March 23rd, 2021. Staff is rude. No hello, welcome in. They'll just tell you to check in on the machine near the desk. I guess their too busy to be friendly. I was there for over three hours. As people with appointments come in, you keep getting pushed back. Even though people had appointments though, there was a wait time for them as well. Unless you have an entire day to spend waiting to get your blood drawn, think twice about going to this facility. The only saving grace was realizing that there is a Lab Corp in the same parking lot. Absolutely lovely & professional people there. I finally decided to give up the wait & went to Lab Corp who greeted me when I came in the door and told me there was a 20 minute wait. After getting my blood drawn at Lab Corp, I went back to Sonora Quest waiting room to enlighten the people waiting that there was a place next door. I had been waiting with many others for hours & thought I would enlighten them that there was light at the end of the tunnel right across the parking lot. About eight of them got up and went to Lab Corp. Many of the people in the waiting room were elderly & some handicapped. A few people were undergoing chemo treatments and were just plain tired. Lab has an electronic check in pad. Many seniors who come here can't figure out how to navigate this and the staff is just rude to them. I've been here many times and sat for hours waiting over my many visits and the staff are just rude to one senior after another. Very sad. read more

Went to the Cottonwood location at my scheduled appointment time, only to discover the office closed early (at Noon) due to the weather (interesting it's only raining). No one bothered to call and let me know the office was closing early so I could come in sooner. I had to reschedule an important test for 2 days later. Perhaps some sort of notification should have been sent to individuals who has appointments in the afternoon, or at the very least a phone call would have been appreciated advising of such. read more

I went in for fasting blood work ordered by my PCP. Before I chose a Quest location I read the Yelp reviews for each location. The average reviews for the Brown Street location were pretty dismal but was closest for me. I wasn't very enthusiastic or expecting to get out of there in less than an hour or two. Boy, was I surprised! I went in and signed in on the electronic check pad. Sat down and took out a book and settled in for the expected long wait. I hadn't been sitting for five minutes when I was called up for info by an extremely pleasant young man. He answered all my questions and was quick and efficient. I went back, pulled out my book, and settled in again. Eight minutes later I was called in by an older woman who was wonderful! She was also quick and efficient. She poked me once. I didn't even feel it AND she didn't "dig" around for a vein. She immediately put me at ease and was so friendly. I'm sorry that this location has poor reviews but I can't brag enough about the professional, friendly, courteous and FAST service that I was given. I was in and out in less than twenty minutes. I think that people who have a good experience here don't think to take the time to write a nice review. The professionals I dealt with couldn't have been there ONLY on the day I went in. I will be making this my "go-to" Quest Lab. read more

They had a kiosk for check in and a board letting you know your place in the queue. My biggest issue with these places is you never know where you stand and the board took out all the guess work. I will be using this location in the future for my lab tests. Yay technology! read more

Told to come early and check in but then refused to take even my name OMG the tech was just as bad spelled my name wrong on the paperwork got A little testy when I asked to C that what she was labeling the tubes with so she can correct the spelling of my name never had me initial once she corrected the spelling of my name told her my blood sugar was low because I waited so long said all she had was water let me leave there even though I told her I was getting lightheaded read more

If I could give zero stars I would. Went on a Saturday at 9am. Checked in, was told 30-40 minutes. Our name was listed as next for a good half hour. People were being called that came in after us. At an hour and fifteen minutes I went to inquire, the girl working the desk was so rude. She said that some lab work has priority over others. I understand that. I questioned that we were next for a while and no one had ever called us for our insurance card. She again was rude and said that someone must have and they must have the paper work and to be patient. I politely asked her to double check to which she determined that our paperwork was never done by her or her coworker and we would have never been called had I not said something. She continued without apologizing working on other peoples paper work before doing ours. No apology, no empathy nothing she never accepted responsibility for her mistake. Mean while it took us 2 hours to get my elderly dad whose in a wheel chair his blood work done and now he can't walk or move the rest of day because of the pain he is in sitting and waiting for her mistake. Take your lab work somewhere that actually has humanity. read more

I asked the front desk why they went ahead of us and he looked confused. He said he had no clue we had an appt. We made an appointment for a blood draw. Making the appointment was easy. We arrived 10 minutes early and simply scanned the barcode to check in, super easy. We have used this lab for years and always have made an appointment for our lab tests. As a result, we have never had a long wait to have our blood drawn. I would highly recommend everyone make an appointment prior to going, as I have talked to others waiting who did not have an appointment & was told they'd been waiting a long time. I believe there is a notice posted in the office saying those with appointments will be called first. If I had one complaint, it would be that the people at the reception desk could be more friendly. I have never seen even one of them smile while greeting a patient. After my husbands recent lab work at this location, we received a call we needed a "recollection" because one of the tests required his blood to be tested within a certain period of time, and it was not done. So we had to make a trip back for my husband to have blood drawn a second time. I told the man at the reception desk that it was a recollection, and he got us in immediately. However, when we saw our doctor a few days later, our Dr. informed us he never did get the results for another one of the tests. When I had lab work a week or so later, I told the male receptionist about our Dr. not receiving the results of one of my husbands tests. His reply to me was "if it was ordered then it would have been done." Not true, and I told him that, and he made no other comment. My mother used to say "always smile when you meet anyone because that may be the only smile that person will see that day." Good advice and the receptionists at this Sonora Lab should take it! read more

Worst customer service and phlebotomist! Front desk staff was rude and condescending. When I asked if he had received my updated stat lab orders from my oncologist he pretended like he never heard me even when I'm standing right in front of him. Then when I go to get my blood drawn it was like my phlebotomist was in a race to get the most draws in an hour he jerked my arm in position then jabbed the needle in my arm then said "did that hurt?" YES!!! " that's because I missed". Jerked my other arm and luckily was able to get a vein!! I will never go to this lab or any other Sonora Quest Lab again. read more

While one of the employees was very nice and likely as helpful as she could be, this place is kind of ridiculous. I waited over 2 hours to pee in a cup. There was an issue finding my order, which may not be there fault but the company needs better software if it's that difficult to find a customer. I realize it is also my company's fault, but it shouldn't be this difficult for them to communicate. I had one person ahead of me for the drug testing and I don't think I would have been out of there much faster had they found the order. This place gets busy. You have to hit the place at the right time to avoid the wait. As as "walk in" I usually am in and out in less then 20 minutes for labwork and blood draw. I usually show up on a Saturday morning, or on one my "off" Fridays in the morning. They are very professional and well mannered. read more

This is the worst lab I've ever been to. I have been sitting in this packed waiting room for over 2 1/2 hours and I still have not been called back for my blood test. I am fasting and I feel horrible. Everyone here is so rude. I would rather pay out of my own pocket to go to a quality lab than come here again just to have insurance pay. So they lost my appointment today. No accountability as they just say HIPA makes it so they can't check anything. Facts are A) original appointment made online. B) With COVID in March my Dr. Appointment changed so I changed April appointment to today over the phone. C) I go in today and no appointment. They say I should have got an email when it last was changed. D) They changed my appointment today in office and I have printout from them. (However, it's a screenshot that seems to indicate the they may need to press a "finish" button) E) I go home and no email and nothing for the new date on my Sonora Dashboard. F) call them up and they are just in a rush to get me off the phone. They say that if they change it in the office they can't verify its updated to my Dashboard due to HIPA. All I can say is how not integrated their reservation system is and how frustrating that I can't verify what they did for me except the scary printout. read more

First time using this Sonora Quest....loved the kiosk check in, (reminds me of SWA baggage ck), there was someone there to help. There were 3 and ALL worked (nice). I didn't have appt, as all were taken until 4 days forward, so even tho I was there at 0615, there was a line, so I expeted to wait. There is a screen showing where you are in line, I was called up to submit benefit cards and ID, he found my orders in the data base, he said I'd be called shortly and I was (maybe 5-10 minutes). All told, probably 45 mins, not bad for no appt. I loved this lab: technology worked, professional, polite, engaging and blood tech organized and skilled. I appreciate their portal, so in future if possible I WILL make appt. (and they are close to my house,,,,5 mins away, Yippee!) read more
