Our bartender/server, Chia, was absolutely amazing. She was incredibly busy, but somehow made sure everyone at the bar received phenomenal service. Friendly, attentive, and always on top of everything--she really made the experience special. And the food was fantastic! Everything we had was tasty, but I especially loved the grilled Brussels sprouts. And the brownie lava cake with ice cream was absolutely delicious--the perfect way to finish the meal! I also really enjoyed the ambiance. It has that energetic downtown feel and is a great spot for sporting events, drinks, dinner, or just hanging out. There's also outdoor seating with misters, although with temperatures still over 102F at 7 p.m., most people wisely chose to dine inside where it was much cooler. A little history The Arrogant Butcher opened in 2011 at CityScape in downtown Phoenix, becoming one of restaurateur Sam Fox's early downtown Phoenix concepts under Fox Restaurant Concepts. Its location right in the heart of downtown, next to what was then US Airways Center, made it a natural destination for game nights, conventions, and downtown visitors. All in all, great downtown location, excellent service, delicious food, and a fun atmosphere. It's conveniently located not far from the Sheraton, which made it an easy walk/ride for us.
