Came in on a Tuesday evening seated immediately. Order was taken within good time and bathroom was clean. Our order took a minute to come out and did not come out together. There was a few minutes between each dish but that seems like a lot when you're hungry! I got the blackened catfish dinner; the fish was blackened and seasoned to perfection and the garlic butter topping was tasty as well with a fluffy texture. I tried a bit of chicken which was yummy as well. No complaints and we took a couple bottles of hot sauce to go. Would recommend and return!

If you haven't been to Lo-Lo's Chicken & Waffles yet, you're missing out. The food is undeniably good--crispy, flavorful chicken and waffles done right every time. Service was on point too, friendly and quick. And you can't go wrong with that Kool-Aid . Hands down better than Roscoe's House of Chicken and Waffles or any other chicken and waffles spot I've tried. 5 stars all day.

As a longtime devotee of the brunch game specializing in the pursuit of chicken & waffles, I'm delighted to report this venue checks out with accolades. Known for their Kool-Aid (always on tap!), I saved my sugar for extra syrupy toasty golden waffles (just right) on LoLo's Special and 3 pieces of moist yet crisp Southern fried chicken. The breast was on the dry side, not to be overlooked with some LoLo's award winning hot sauce & syrup - finger lickin' sweet & spicy! Neal was managing the front door and team working multiple tables with a great attitude - a pleasure to behold!

We were greeted and seated quick. Very friendly staff. The whole place looks clean and inviting. The food is delicious as always. The whole group I was with loved everything they ordered. Sometime while we were eating a DJ showed up and started playing music. It felt like a party in there. But surprisingly not overwhelming.

Ambiance: Clean restaurant with plenty of seating and attractive decor. Service: We were served by a nice gentleman who was attentive. Food: 8/10 -- The chicken had excellent flavor. The greens were the highlight for me. The cornbread was unique; it reminded me of Jiffy. Candy Sweets were delightful. The catfish was also tasty, and I usually don't care for catfish.

Service is always good here. I bring my out of state family and friends here. Lots of chicken options but also seafood and vegetarian as well. Good vibes and good music. Lots of parking!

First allow me to start off by saying we drove 2hours to this particular location. From the minute we walked through the door we felt at home. This is the most Blacks we've seen since leaving in Arizona. Clearly we're in the wrong parts..... The hosts was nice and got us seated quickly! Our waitress was Vanessa and she let us know the wait would be approximately 50-60 minutes! WE DID NOT CARE!!! We ordered drinks and started vibing to the Live Dj!!! The food was cooked just right! Vanessa was a Wonderful Waitress!!!! We got our pictures taken and ended up purchasing them! Wonderful Atmosphere!!!!

Delicious chicken and waffles! I highly recommend the catfish bites! We all enjoyed our food and were seated pretty quick for a group of 5. Our server was awesome! She recommended drinks for us and helped us save money! The restaurant is good for friends and/or family. The bathrooms are decent.

Not once not twice but 3 times. I called and was disconnected attempting to place a order it wasn't until the 4th try i was successful. I should have taken it as a sign and not ordered. Placed 1 order they said 25 mins cool. I go in 4 ppl are in front of me I get to the front the girl seemed annoyed when I told her I was picking up. With a grunt and sigh sure let me grab it... ma'am im buying my food you arent gifting it. I pick it up head to my car to eat in the parking lot. DRY OVER cooked chicken. And my food was COLD MY WAFFLE dry and crusty. Yeah this place has gone down hill

Good food, good friends and good music..you can't beat that. We had a great time celebrating a friends birthday. The service was great. Our server was very attentive and that made the experience so much better. The food came out hot and tasty!!! They do not skimp on serving portions. The food was seasoned well and was sooo tasty. The kool -aid especially Red Kool-Aid was delicious! We went on a Sunday afternoon and there wasn't a long wait. The music from the DJ brought added fun as we did a few line dances lol . Great place to go for great food with generous portions...

The food was sooo good!! The chicken was nicely seasoned and crispy. The meat was juice and not dry at all including the chicken breast. Waffle was good and thin. Lemonade and drinks were huge! Mac and cheese was rich. Service was also fast as well!

Heard really good things about Lo-Lo's Chicken and Waffles so we had to stop by while in town. Would highly recommend making a reservation or calling ahead as there was a pretty decent crowd and we still ended up waiting even after calling ahead. Our server was great, very friendly and flexible with our groups many requests and adjustments to orders. Shrimp deviled eggs were tasty, they came with a hot honey sauce that really tied the flavors together. We all loved the chicken and waffles, and primarily ordered the Double D meal (two breasts and a waffle)but any chicken and waffle combo is likely delicious. Depends on your cut of chicken preferences. Kool-Aid and Lemonade were great, a little sweet but that's expected/appreciated with those drinks. DJ was great and overall the space was pretty large. Assuming they create a party brunch vibe on weekends and maybe even host night time events based on setup and menu options. Will definitely check out Lo-Lo's again next time we're in Phoenix. Probably 2nd best chicken and waffles I've ever had!

The prices are a tidbit high but it's worth a try.

Vegan? At Lo-Lo's? No, no, no. There is some form of chicken, cow, or pork in almost everything but the kool-aid. Great eating ;) Just kidding. There are fried green tomatoes, fried green beans and a veggie plate. Not sure if the cornbread is vegan.

My friend and I waited and waited for the food. I opened the order when I got it before leaving the window and the lady working the window gave me someone else's food. Thankfully, and the other customer recognized their order and got their food just fine. The lady working the window apologized, gave me a water, and I waited longer. She apologized again and said that they'd bring the food to me. They didn't bring the food and instead gave part of my order to a different friend to bring to me. I went back and asked for the rest of the order. The lady working the window said that she gave me my order. I said no, we only got part of it. She then became unbelievably inappropriate saying that I'm lying, stealing from a Black man business owner, not well, and all kinds of things that were uncalled for because they were paid nearly $40 for the order plus a 20% tip! I told my friend what happened and to do a charge back. I went back again with the partial order to try and explain that this was all that was received. Instead, the woman working the window immediately started berating me, threatening to embarrass me, and other things that were incredibly unhelpful to reconcile the situation. Mind you, I am not the type to act a fool and was at the event representing an organization so at no time did I raise my voice or return the treatment I received from this business. She asked what I wanted her to do and I told her that a refund because I know how chargebacks are bad for small businesses. She said okay and asked for the last 4 digits of the card, so I had to get them from my friend. I went back to my friend to get the numbers, got back in line to give them to her, and I gave them to her. She asked why I kept getting back in line...well, how else was I supposedto get help because that line was the only line. Instead of refunding my friend, the lady shut the window, talked to the owner, and reopened the window and started taking more orders. I got back in line again to find out if the refund had been done and she said that they were not going to refund and there was nothing else that they could do. I told my friend this and she's going to move forward hopefully with the chargeback. Mind you if the order and had been fulfilled correctly, then I wouldn't have had to go back multiple times asking for the order nor would I be writing this negative review. Our other friends who actually got their orders said the food was good, so there's that I suppose. This type of exchange is why so many businesses fail. Simple things like decent service and order management. I was not the only person waiting for an extended period. I was not the only person whose order was messed up. I encourage this business to invest in an digital order taking CMS and not writing things in dark pen on the boxes themselves. If digital order taking isn't possible for now, and that's OK if it is, then invest in guest check server notepads. They are less than $10 on Amazon. The orders can be written on them with customers' names and phone numbers, the bottom can be torn off for customers to have while they are waiting for food, and, in order for a customer to receive their order, they must surrender the torn off portion. Doing something either electronically or handwritten like explained would provide a system for checks and balance instead of relying on someone's memory. Also, consider coaching, retraining, and/or replacing the woman that was working the window today as her behavior is bad for business. She was not able to or chose not to maintain composure, decorum, and handle the pressure of all of the customer traffic. Though I did not get loud, she did get loud with me and other customers saw this every time she did this. That affects business. Her choices and behavior today cost this business vending opportunities with me, my employer, the organization I was representing at today's event, and probably with other customers who saw her disrespect, treatment, and unkindness towards me.

Popped in before a Suns game, an easy walk past Chase Field. It was good to get away from the usual pregame options. The place was clean and inviting, and had a little bit of a "back in time" feel without being dated. Quickly and pleasantly welcomed and seated. Then came the hard part, making choices. We had fried chicken and fried catfish, with sides of Mac and Cheese, macaroni salad (yep, Mac two ways), greens and mashed potatoes with gravy. All were great, obviously home made from longstanding recipes. Especially into the greens, which were bursting with flavor. The catfish was delish, and my wife called the fried chicken the best she ever had. Saved room for peach cobbler, which was served smoking hot. The perfect sweet end to the savory meal. Next time I'm all in on pork chops, which looked amazing. And we will come on a Sunday, the only day dressing is available as a side option. Not sure if they were the owners or not, but I appreciated the friendly service. The menu is robust with a late night weekend special menu (which includes oxtails til 2am) but I had a 1 track mind: CATFISH! The 3 pieces I got were large and automatically came with hush puppies (yum) and a side. The food was done is about 15 minutes but it didn't seem that long - the catfish was piping HOT! I was trying to eat it and cool it off at the same time, I made it all the way home and the food was still hot which I really appreciated. The catfish was crunchy/crispy on the outside and super flaky on the inside- perfect! Both my husband and 13 month old daughter wouldn't keep their hands out my platter! My husband liked Missy's catfish over the food truck that we used to always go to. I already started telling people about Missy's and we will definitely be back!

The pacing of the drinks and the appetizers started out ok too, but over time started to slip. Drinks were forgotten, one person's starter didn't come out at all and our server became less and less available. When it came time for our main course, 4/5 people received what they ordered. When the wrong dish was presented to the fifth person, she recognized that it wasn't right an politely questioned it. The girl who was delivering the food (not our server) pushed back and said that it was pretty close, "it's fish isn't it?" No, we paid for an upgraded dish and this wasn't it. She had to wait another ten minutes to get her correct dish, while the entire group awkwardly waited and picked at their remaining appetizers to try to look busy. Drinks continued to wait...we were told that the bar tender was behind. No apology for the dish mishap, no acknowledgement when one person tried two bites of food and then pushed it away. (Turns out the corrected dish was rushed-overdone on the outside, underdone in the middle). I would have loved the opportunity to make it right, but staff seemed to vanish.
