I used to love their pizza, lately I've been disappointed. I know we are in different times with finding reliable staffing etc but the wait time was ridiculous even for a Friday night carry-out. I had to yell on the phone for them to hear my order, have a phone somewhere else than in the middle of a busy lobby, I wanted to be sure that they had a particular topping, I was told yes, they did not and substituted it without permission. We had a salad with a large "Villa" pizza with extra thin crust. It was nice to have a salad with tomatoes, real bacon bits and cucumbers instead of just lettuce with some cheese. The pizza was excellent and the service was friendly and quick. We will definitely be back! read more

We were passing through Lincoln on the drive back from Springfield for a Lincoln sightseeing trip, and found this place randomly on the nice square around the courthouse. A relatively smaller space but pretty personal treatment, the pizza was fresh and hit the spot. They were a little slow from seeming a little understaffed but they were hustling and doing a lot of take-out, and we were in no rush. We drove back to Chicago happy and stuffed. read more

So, I have tried a couple of different pizza places in town and this is best I have had in town. Cozy, clean with friendly staff, it's a great place for a nice date night dinner. Family run and you could tell it! They put a lot of care into food and it shows! The garlic cheese bread was a great starter, served on Ciabatta with roasted garlic cloves and melted cheese. Then our pizza came, which was amazing! Fresh toppings, fresh mozzarella on a homemade crust. We did the crispy crust which was right there in the line of being crispy but not overly so like those cardboard crusts you get sometimes. Will definitely go back again and again! read more

I spend many nights in Lincoln as I work at one of the prisons in town. I have ordered pizza to my hotel room but this is the first time I tried Sorrento's. After one slice I knew this would be my new go to place. The ordering process was easy, the person I talked to answered my questions and was very helpful with their crust and ingredient options. The pizza was delivered in a timely fashion and the delivery person made sure that I was happy with my order. The ingredients tasted fresh, the crust was crisp and overall I think this is one of the better pizza options in the area. I will order from Sorrento's again for sure! read more

Yum Yum gimmie sum. This is my favorite pizza of all time. It is the only thing I must have when home for holidays. The sauce is the most amazing thing about the pizza. It reminds of my friend Allison mother's homemade raviollo sauce. Slightly sweet with great italian seasonings. I think if you order sausage they quite possibly use the raw stuff, which gives it a delicious flavor. I love you sorrento's. I remember going there in the eighties with my aunt and playing the old jukebox. This was when it was located on the corner by the alley-bi. Been here several times from Bloomington. Their pizzas are pretty good but Spaghetti and meatball is the bomb!!!

Just finished having Sorrento's deliver pizza to a local park after a soccer game in town. Not from the area but a customer of mine from this area suggested Sorrento's and it did not disappoint. The owner went out of his way to deliver the pizza and even went to the park early in the week to make sure there was enough space for our players and families. Highly recommend read more

Sorrento's has been a staple in our house since we moved here almost three years ago. I have looked past the fact that it usually (8/10 times) takes longer to get a pizza for carry out than they tell you. I've even looked past the fact that they have messed up our order 5 times. Tonight is the breaking point. I ordered a Joe's (for the first time) to do a blind taste vs Sorrento's. The choice of pizza was strictly cheese. Tasted the first then the second. The second had an oniony taste. Why is that? It's because it had onions on it. The pizza? It was Sorrento's. I'm done. Joe's it is from now on. read more

unremarkable pizza. not enough sauce. Super salty but my own fault with green olives. Garlic cheese bread was good... but it's two french rolls sliced in quarters and was 6 bucks! really? No sweet n low, splenda or equal for the tea.. sugar came in a little cup like the marinara does for the stix.. which was cold but whatever.. waitress was super nice.. that's a +++.. may not try again I wanted to try Joe's but they are closed for vacation or renovation or something. locals love it. read more

Sorrento's allows BYOB, so make sure you get plenty drunk before you eat here because anything with meat, cheese, and sauce will taste delicious. Unfortunately, I was sober for my first, and last Sorrento's experience. This restaurant didn't live up to the hype. The dining room is cozy and the people seem friendly, but the pizza and other menu items (we ordered 2 pizzas, cheesy garlic bread, and salads) don't live up to the reviews or the amount of money they are charging. We drove by and we couldn't find the place. We saw a 521 but not 520. Maybe we were in the wrong park of town. :(

We have eaten at Sorrento's on a number of occasions and have enjoyed it. The pizza is uniquely delicious and we have found the wait staff always attentive. However last evening the owners allowing their 5 year old granddaughter (I believe) to run around the restaurant unsupervised spoiled the evening for us. The child was constantly in the way! The poor waitress tripped over her a couple of times. One time the child deliberately blocked the door to kitchen preventing the waitress from entering with dishes in her hands. (playing games) The child was running in and out of the kitchen the whole time we were there (not sure about the health laws there...). Rather than a quiet relaxing evening, we were made very nervous by the dangerous situation and the struggling poor waitress. Everyone in the restaurant noticed the unruly child and dangerous situation - except the owners!! Unfortunately this is not the first time that this situation has taken place while we were there. As I say, Sorrentos has good food and good help. I hope the owners eventually realize that their clientele come to their restaurant for an overall positive dining experience - NOT a play date! read more
