Went to dinner with 10 friends on Friday at 7 pm. Bad service!!! Super unorganized! The place was not busy at all. The waitress did not take my order. After appetizers & drinks were served intermittently because some people came late. Dinner came out, was surprised that no one took mine, but she insisted she did. So they made it. Drinks arrived almost immediately after we ordered them. The fried mozzarella is HUGE and was very tasty. The calamari was fried perfectly and paired well with hot peppers. I had the Short Ribs and it was "chefs kiss"! Perfectly tender and packed with flavor. The mashed potatoes were so-so but the broccolini was excellent. My partner has the spaghetti with two massive meatballs. He said his entree was great. The portions were plentiful and we had enough to take home. This is my first time at this restaurant located inside the Coconut Creek Casino . We sat out in the casino/dining area. The service was extremely slow. We were there about an hour and 45 minutes, however, the food was very good. I had the rigatoni with meat sauce. The pasta was al dente and very tasty. My husband and friend had the salmon. They said it was good, slightly dry, but good my other friend had the chicken Parm and enjoyed his meal. The server was very sweet. We came back later for drinks at the bar. Horrible experience.. arrived on 2/15/26. Waitress took her time getting to us after we had been seated a while.. upon ordering our food- I asked for extra mozzarella to be added to a side order of meatballs. Waitress did not know what "mozzarella" was!! Upon receiving our meal while eating one of the meatballs I pulled a piece of plastic wrap out of my mouth and another small piece out of one of the meatballs itself!!! What kind of attention is being paid to preparing the food in that kitchen!! I mentioned it to one of the other waitresses (because ours never came back to the table until the check was due ) no one ever came to the table or offered to replace the food. Which leaves made to believe that this was never mentioned to either the chef or the manager. My fault for not calling the manager over..totally disgusted. Well, I'll say this...the food I had was actually fine. Chicken parmigiana and a side of spaghetti. Good chicken, a little too deep fried but still tasty, sauce tasted good, pasta could have been a little firmer but reasonably good. But...I was sitting at the bar. There was one not very pleasant bartender taking care of the entire bar. He was clearly doing me a favor by taking my order. And then I waited, and waited, and waited. For nearly 45 minutes for my food. I know it wasn't just me. Others near me were also complaining. When I got my food, it came with spaghetti when I had ordered rigatoni. Our first time coming here. Food - Tasty! Could be a tad salty. Me and my Bf ordered Italian wedding soup and Calamari to start with a caesar salad. Italian wedding soup was served with a breadstick. It came with a couple of meatballs inside the bowl of soup. Soup was salty as well as the meatballs. The calamari was okay, nothing special about it. Caesar salad was yummy! For my entree, i ordered the spicy vodka rigatoni. I have requested for meatballs and sausage be added. The vodka sauce was yummy. You can taste the flavor of butter and garlic infused with the sauce with a kick from the calabrian chilis. But the meatballs and sausage was salty. My bf ordered the Lasagna with meat ragu. It was delicious for me, but my bf mentioned the marinara sauce was abit sweet for him. We ordered the hazelnut chocolate mousse for dessert, and it was good :) Overall, the food was good if you can get past the saltiness. Service - was very good. Hostesses and our server was attentive and kind. We were okay to be sat outside at first but the noise became too bothersome as well as the cigarette smoke. Ambiance - I would not recommend sitting outside if you want to get to have a good conversation with someone and also not be distracted by the cigarette smoke from the casino as you eat your meal. 4 stars for me, as the overall experience was just acceptably lacking and not upsetting. My friend I come to the Seminole casino every other Thursday for dinner at Sorrisi.. We loved it, until recently...I always have the mussels and my friends have mozzarella appetizer and the chicken parm dinner..we noticed they changed their dinnerware from what was pictured to these white dishes that are almost half the size.. that's what they used for the mussels a small white plate, even the chicken parmigiana was half the size.. very disappointed on their portions now..The mussels were not as tasty and seemed watered down..the chicken parm and mozzarella appetizer were still good..service is not the best, but it's ok because they are understaffed, and I understand.. I'm going back tomorrow to see if last thursday was just an off night.. I hope it's good! Update: Went Thursday, food was great as always, service was even better! read more

This is the second time I've been to this restaurant. The first time I did not leave a review because I didn't really have a good experience. I decided to come back here again tonight to give it another try. Our Server was Emiliz she is a very nice lady. Emiliz came over to our table many times to check on us to make sure that we were happy with our food and service. We ordered fried calamari did not realize that it has hot peppers when we got our dish. It was more hot peppers than calamari so we sent it back and asked them to make a dish with just calamari. Emiliz brought out another dish immediately it was very, very good. We ordered mussels with white wine sauce and they were absolutely delicious. It was actually my favorite thing that I ordered tonight then we ordered Caprese salad. It did not have much flavor. Tomatoes were very hard not a big fan of it. Last thing I ordered was a side salad. It was OK. Restaurant is decorated very beautifully. Only downfall is you need to wear a fur coat because it is absolutely freezing in this restaurant. The first time we came here two months ago, we complain about it being cold we had to be moved outsideof the restaurant. Tonight it was just as cold. I didn't make a big deal over it. Italian food for me is usually very hit or miss and Sorrisi was a big hit for me! We tried: P.E. I. Mussels - This is a must get! The mussels weren't rubbery or chewy at all. And the garlic sauce was literally addicting. I honestly wish we kept the bowl after we had finished the mussels just so I could keep dipping everything in it. Calamari - also super yummy. The calamari was nicely cooked and not rubbery at all. The breading was super crispy but not too overbearing that it covered the squid. And the cream sauce was a fave. Fried Mozz - this dish was good but not really worth it. It comes with two pieces of fried mozzarella but it's not really that special. That being said, it was still decent. It was nice and hot and crispy, and the cheese gave a satisfying cheese pull. Chicken Piccata - the chicken was pretty tender and the broccolini was perfect but this dish didn't really stick out to me. Margherita Pizza - Also really yummy. The dough was nice and hefty (?) Idk if that's a good way to describe it, but it had a good bite to it. It wasn't too heavy or greasy which was also nice. Atlantic Salmon - I usually like my salmon cooked a little less but this dish was still pretty good! The lemon sauce was a lot zestier than I thought it would be but the sourness didn't linger which actually made for a really refreshing bite. Shrimp Scampi - this dish was good but I think the real star of the show was the shrimp. They were cooked perfectly and I love just how big they are. Overall it was really buttery and very much satisfies the craving I get whenever I think of Italian food. Spicy ala Vodka - this was definitely my favorite dish by far. The pasta was perfectly al dente and coated with the sauce. It was so creamy and with a bit of spice (but not too much that it became hard to eat) and my group all shared everything, but I feel like I could have just eaten that dish all by myself. Not to mention the garlic bread was delicious too. Italian wedding soup - This dish was surprisingly light which is a nice side compared to all the rich and heavy foods. We had high hopes, but sadly they were dashed quickly. Although this place charges big box for entrees, they are too cheap to give you complimentary bread, even maggiano's and the Olive garden offer that and pretty much every other Italian restaurant. The service is slow and the prices are high, bad combination, and you don't even get a complimentary salad or soup with your meal. Aside from that, as you can see, they show Canadian football on their TVs instead of American. That's a real head scratcher considering we have good football here and basically nobody watches the CFL in Florida. read more

Hubs and I tried out Sorrisi tonight and are really glad we did. I was put off by the "fast, casual" description lol, but the inside was really nice. Probably the best part of the meal. It was not included with the entree, there was a 8 dollar charge for a small side salad. The Chicken Marsala was very thick and dry. Sauce was also too thick and too sweet. It came with broccolini, if I wanted to substitute pasta was 3 bucks extra. Would never order it again. The Shrimp Scampi left much to be desired. It came with 5 shrimp over very bland pasta that was cooked al dente. I think in Italy, that could be the norm, but in southern Florida I do not like my pasta hard or chewy. The table next to us ordered the chicken parm. I think that may have been the way to go. Looked much better than our dishes. Went last night with another couple for New Year's Eve. We've been there before had a reservation knew it would be crowded but I think I counted three servers three.! what the heck was that? Please tell me they can't afford to pay more servers, more bussers, more food runners & there was one woman running the food! It was pretty bad. The portions are a little stingy but the food is very tasty and it's a shame they don't give you bread anymore. This was the first time I went with my family for NYE and I made a reservation at 10:15 so that I could be out by around 11:30 and go to another event. There were multiple tables empty inside, yet they made every one wait outside and did not honor our reservation. We were called in at about 11 and had an older hostess that was terribly rude. I let her comments slide and tried to be nice as it was NYE and was there with my family. However, it was totally uncalled for and clearly does not care about providing customer service. The younger hostess was nice and attentive. Once seated, the vibes were just off and we didn't feel comfortable staying there. We decided to leave and we were skeptical about how the food would taste and ultimately would've missed our other event. A friend of mine was there with her family as well and not to my surprise, had the same feedback about how their night went. Sorrisi is an Italian restaurant located in the Seminole Casino! I came with a huge group to try all the restaurants and this was our first spot! We walked in to friendly and helpful staff and a massive bar of various liquors, beers, and non-alcoholics. A few steps further we saw the most intense charcuterie I've EVER SEEN, complete with meats, cheeses, veggies, truffle honey, honeycomb, and figs! We had several other stops to make so we didn't want to fill up on charcuterie, but I will definitely be back JUST to have wine and meats and cheeses. I was very impressed by this restaurant! New menu, online menu is not what they are selling. Online menu and previous menu look spectacular. New menu is sandwiches and salads, they have one pasta dish, spaghetti and meatballs. Sat at the bar, bartender took three times to make a lemon drop martini and couldn't make a good one. First attempt was made with lime juice. Ordered apps because we were cautious about the menu change. Calamari was overcooked and rubbery. Foccaci was hard on top, stale and barely warm. Tasted of old olive oil. So turned off we bailed. We went to the casino on July 4th at 6:30 p.m. with the intention of having dinner and doing a little gambling and maybe if we were still there , watch the fireworks at 10:00 p.m. We walked up to the hostess and had no response, so I simply asked "should we seat ourselves?" it was practically empty. "No" was the reply, "Do you have a reservation?" No. "Then you'll have to eat at the bar." My response was " it's practically empty,why do I need a reservation?" We are totally booked. "And at what time do you expect all these people to show up?" 6:30 was a response. We ate at the bar. I ordered the chicken piccata. By 7:30 we were leaving, still noting several empty tables in the main dining room. We had fun gambling. We left about 9:30 and went home missing the fireworks, but we could still hear them since we live fairly close by. By 11:30 p.m. I was on all fours with food poisoning. It did not let up until about 3:30 a.m. This was the second time I've had food poisoning at the Seminole Casino,last year, it was from the Bol. Don't let this sway your opinion however as Sorrisi is elegant, and on the high end side. Reservations were required as it was a Friday night and the casino buzzing. We were given a large table despite it only being two of us which we did not complain about as having the extra space was nice. Despite being an Italian restaurant, Sorrisi has a vast array of options including steaks, seafood, short ribs and lamb chops in addition to some Italian classics. Ordered the Crab Stuffed Portabella appetizer first; the crab meat was great as were the pickled onions accompanying it but the dish seemed to lack flavor. For entrees we had the 'Bone In Lamb Chops' and the 'Shrimp Scampi' The lamb chops were nothing short of delicious! Cooked medium; they were pink inside but with a perfect sear on the outside. The mashed potatoes, spinach and mustard they were served with went perfectly with lamb as did the rich Chianti I washed it down with. The Shrimp Scampi didn't have the most exciting appearance but the dish ended up being really great. Plump jumbo shrimp served over pasta with a light wine based sauce. For desert we had the 'Warm Chocolate Croissant Bread Pudding'; containing raisins, hazelnut, caramel and whipped cream I loved it!! The wait staff and the hostess were professional and friendly and the service left nothing to complain about. Sorrisi just opened back up recently after being closed for a while due to COVID. It used to be so much better when it was a sit down restaurant, now you have to go over to the bar to order the food and you sit anywhere you want. They also don't have a bathroom inside the restaurant so you have to go out to the casino floor. They only sell sandwiches, salad, pizza & some other appetizers like meatballs & such. I ordered the pesto chicken sandwich with pesto pasta on the side which was very good & a huge plate of food, I took some home. We decided to sit at the bar and service was absolutely terrible because of the attitude. The girls working last night didn't even want to acknowledge the fact that we were there. The beer menu is typical of a 1980's menu...beers that few people who like or really know anything about beer would ever order...perfect if they want to ensure that their clientele remains retirees over 70, not intelligent if they ever want to get more than 3 people under the age of 40 to dine here; e.g., they have Stella...a beer they will not sell in Belgium because it is such an insult. I've found some of the dishes to be ludicrously excellent, but they don't do everything right: they are really good at prepping garlic, but seem to think everything needs garlic, which isn't necessarily so, even in American-Italian dishes. The risottos are especially poor- they clearly were not stirred throughout cooking, were sticky from starch, and relied too heavily on salt whether the parmesan or mushroom was chosen; likewise, the escarole and beans was bland and they use navy instead of cannolini beans. I thought the clams with linguini, on the other hand, was the best I have ever had...in my life! So, on the strength of the few good dishes, service, decor and drinks, we'll probably be back. read more

Can I say that I was shocked to find out that fine dining exists inside of a Casino? Shows you much I go gambling. Sorrisi is located inside the Seminole Casino Coconut Creek and there is a multi-story parking garage attached to the Casino, so if it's raining, no problem just take the elevator from the garage into the building. I ordered the Strawberry Basil Gin Spritz, delicious and refreshing! I highly recommend the Crab stuffed Portobello appetizer! Plenty of crab to share with 1 other person and if you're generous, maybe 2 other people, but no more than that! It's too yummy! Every table gets warm bread and it's accompanied by roasted garlic, creamy butter and I think some type of Olive marinera, all very good but may ruin your appetite for the main course! The Shrimp Scampi had generous size shrimps and the sauce wasn't too thick and salty, which to me was perfect! My only disappointment was the dessert bread pudding. Our server catered to us and was extremely personable and professional, each staff member who approached our table also carried themselves in a graceful manner. Our server was knowledgeable and attentive. I started off with the baked stuffed clams, which were wonderful and I was definitely not a clam kind of mood because I also ordered the garlic clam linguini for my entree. The linguini was good, but after eating the baked clams I had been wishing I ordered something different. It's hard to top stuffed and baked!
