We had been here a couple years ago while on vacation and loved but when we went a couple weeks ago, we didn't have a good experience. I had ordered the Soufflé Japanese style pancakes and was told that it takes 45 minutes to make the batter and then another 25 minutes to make the pancakes. We were there around 9:45 so we weren't there right at opening and was confused why it would take so long . I knew the Japanese style pancakes take longer to make as the first time we went those came out after the rest of our food. So this time we got the regular pancakes and they were not bad but were not what we went there for. The service wasn't bad but we did wait a while after sitting down and there were multiple empty tables so it wasn't very busy. The menu offers a nice variety, and so the family decided to try. We've been three times, and each visit has been less pleasing than the prior. Our last visit was on Nov 14th. Our waitress informed us that there were no substitutions allowed for the menu items, and she then proceeded to suggest what we should order. Needless to say, we were not excited that a simple switch of something like the type of cheese used for an item was not permitted. Our meal was ok, but then when the check came, we were shocked to find an additional charge for using a credit card as payment. I decided to write this review to give folks a heads up about the ridiculous credit card fee, and also to inform people that there is no tolerance for flexible ordering here. I really want to like this place but the owner might want to consider being a bit more flexible with menu options. Additionally, it would be nice to have a visible note on the website about credit card fees, and that cash payment is preferred. read more

Where to begin, if you no longer serve what the menu states, use a sharpie until new menus come in. I ordered the All or nothing, should have gotten nothing. The Soufflé pancakes did not come with it, we payed an extra $12, to try them and we would not recommend, they tasted like pure cinnamon and no pancake. They said the pancakes would come out about 20 mins after our bacon and eggs, but they came out 20 mins before the rest of our order. The waitress's put home fries on plates with their bare hands, even though the box of gloves were right there. Even though I ordered a $7 speciality coffee, there were no refills for even drip coffee. I'm sorry, but I don't feel the 50 mins we waited on food was worth any of it. read more

Very excited to try this place. Menu sounded amazing and it was a break from the standard Myrtle Beach pancake house. Came in about 9:45 expecting it to be packed and was pleasantly surprised we got seated right away. (Bonus points for giving roses to each female customer coming in for Valentine's Day) The coffee was great and service started off good but as soon as a big group of people came in, it went down hill for me. They were bunching in at the door, had it open for long periods of time letting in the cold air, and a lot of them didn't have masks, and none of the servers said anything to them. They should really get a system in place to help avoid this. Maybe request 1 person from each party wait inside and the rest in their car until their table is ready? This would help overcrowding and allow people to exit without having to squeeze through a tunnel of bodies. Also worth noting where I wasnt able to see the kitchen staff, every server I saw, with the exception of one, wore their masks properly. Our server was the only one I saw with it under her nose. Maybe I should have said something, but once our food was given to us, we didn't see her the rest of the meal. She was busy with the multiple groups that came in. The male server there ended up bringing me to-go boxes and our bill after we sat there for over 10 minutes waiting on her to come by. He was amazing, btw. Very good about taking care of his other tables too. Now, the food was the only thing that would make me give this place another shot. It was hot, delish, and very filling! A total waste of money. The food was bland and tasteless with the exception of the beignets. Which were tasty, however they were not your typical New Orleans beignets but rather fried puff pastry dough. We both ordered the shrimp and grits.... I also was able to get a side of the pork belly. When the order arrived , the presentation was nice, it was a huge portion. However there were just five shrimp, a mound of unseasoned plain grits that had been topped with melted cheese. No flavor. I repeat no flavor. It was inedible. We both took off the shrimp since we had to pay for the dish regardless and left the rest of the dish to be tossed. The pork belly, was dry, and tasteless. Which is saying a lot for pork belly that is known by default to be fatty and juicy. It was a horrible experience. We will not be back. read more

4 of us at here for breakfast after researching several places the night before. We are foodies and ordered several dishes because we like to communally try different items. We were very pleased with all we had, the Souffle signature pancakes, crab cake Benedict, bananas foster, down and dirty (pork belly), beignets, under the sea crepes, and Aces High with corned beef hash. We also had mojitos, a Bloody Mary, and a couple different mimosas. We loved the banana fosters so much that we asked the server for some to take with us. To our surprise, she did! I wish I could remember her name... she was so nice and perfectly attentive. The only negative I have is that the signature soufflé pancakes, although creative, aren't anything special in terms of taste. This was a great outdoor dining experience and we all agreed that the price was fair for the quality of food we received. I'd highly recommend this place to anyone. I ordered the Over Seas Benedict---not as described. The eggs were hard, over cooked. No capers. no dill. The potatoes were over cooked no seasoning. No lemony hollandIse sauce. Went to Soufflés today looking forward to a great new breakfast spot. Well, needless to say we were very disappointed and will not return. Our waitress (also the hostess) was pushing us to order quickly .... Should have been our first clue that it wasn't going to be a great experience. Then, although they advertise a mimosa bar, they didn't have the ingredients? Seriously? Run to Walmart! Next they didn't have batter for Soufflés? WHAT? When our food came out two of the meals were good one should have never come out of the kitchen. How do you serve pork belly that looks like a charcoal briquettes?We complained about that when she FINALLY came back to our table as we were done our meal. She said she was going to talk to the chef. When she came back to the table I asked what the chef said and she replied he was busy and I didn't want to bother him. SERIOUSLY??? She then asked if we wanted more coffee, finally, I would have loved some with my meal! No please bring our bill.... When she retrieved our bill with credit card I again asked what the chef said and she told us she would be back. She came back again with the same bill with nothing taken off and asked if we wanted anything to go. NOOOO all we wanted was to get out of there!!!! Went to Souffle's Saturday morning for brunch during the quarantine. We all ate in the parking lot due to the Governor's orders of outdoor dining only. Souffle's staff has set up at least 10 tables and the hostess stand outside, in addition to the permanent tables already located on the covered patio. The staff was so friendly and they even served us complimentary mimosas when the food was a little delayed. When it arrived it was worth waiting for!
