We went…read moreearly --and I recommend going early dinner both for parking and seating-- but there were enough people sitting that I'd be in the way getting snaps. Also many people waiting to pick up orders, so the front was also too busy for getting pix. Another thing I would recommend is sitting at table instead of booth. We sat in a booth. The problem with the booths, or at least the first booth from door, is either the seats are too low or the table is too high. Terrific fish fry: haddock with two sides. Loved the light breading on this. Also available is the Buffalo classic fish fry-- beer battered and fried, standard sides... fries, Cole slaw, mac salad. Very interesting menu. Inviting. So I will be accepting the invitation to come back for the Portside (lobster sandwich), and for the seafood fries. More reviews to follow. Very personable employees, enjoyable decor. Music a tad loud, and incongruous. I read a review from last year that described the music, though also too loud, as R&B. That sounds just right. Maybe dance music gets people to eat faster, desirable for quicker table turnover. There were people waiting for tables as we left. Only negative for me was thin ranch dressing and thin tartar sauce.

Soon we learned that he was not only very friendly, but also fast, energetic, and attentive. Check out the menu. There's something for everyone who's craving seafood. We visited in the late afternoon on Friday. My partner wanted the traditional Buffalo Fish Fry. I was looking for something that wasn't a deep-fried carb overload :). At a certain point, new guests began streaming into the restaurant - including those who were there just for takeout orders. Our food arrived straight from the kitchen and was still piping hot.The Fish Fry received nothing but good reviews. The beer batter was crispy and flavorful. The haddock was flaky and perfectly cooked as well. The order was missing the corn muffin, but the rest of the sides were there, house-made and delicious. The Lexington dish on The Mains menu sounded more sophisticated than it actually tasted. It was very good indeed, but it lacked a bit of 'zing', something to elevate its flavor from being flat. The broccoli was boiled and served as a side dish. Had it been char-grilled (as indicated on the menu) perhaps it would have added more flavor and texture to the dish? Anyway, as I mentioned, my course was very good/satisfying. I should have asked for at least some lemon wedges. Next time I'll definitely order the Shrimp Po Boy :). The two shrimps I had were perfect. Truly succulent; tender, juicy and sweet. Yummy!

We had a drink at the bar and then we're seated at our table. The waiter was cordial, friendly and informative. We ordered the stuffed mushroom appetizer, the Carrot Papardella, and the Penne w/ grilled steak "au poivre". So good! The bread with the tomato sauce was fresh and the sauce had an amazing flavor. The stuffed mushroom with artichoke stuffing was very rich and flavorful. Lots of stuffing. The Carrot Papardella had large chunks of fresh seafood and great sauce. The penne with steak was very good. The marsala sauce was very rich and filling but flavorful with that sweet marsala wine sauce. Steak was tenderly cooked perfectly. The waiter brought out a great slice of complimentary birthday caramel ganache cake. Great surprise. Our water glasses were never empty, the bread was plentiful and the meal was so tasty, fresh and flavorful. This place has a good amount of seating but reservation recommended for busier times. It's a nice dining room with a bar at the entrance of the restaurant. They have daily specials and rotating dessert specials. Highly recommended and always worth the visit!!

Had a lime though. Egg dipped Artichoke Hearts 8/10 I was surprised to see the plating structure of this. Everything was good. Vinaigrette went well with everything. less salad mix at the bottom would be nice. Twin Filet Mignon Beef Tournedos 8/10 Cooked perfect, both of them. Decent flavor too. The mushroom sauce was good. The horseradish cheese was shredded, which was very strange to have on a steak. I could have done with a creamier cheese, Gorgonzola, or just none at all. Potatoes were good, a chunky mash. Asparagus was cooked good, al dente and seasoned well. Special: 1/2 Rack Australian Lamb 9/10 Cooked perfect, probably one of the top three best in the Buffalo area. The crust was great, the sauce was really good, could taste the mint and raspberry, but it wasn't super sweet like you'd think.

Appetizers were very good: Crab cakes- Great balance of crab and filler... mostly crab as it should be. Asparagus cooked perfectly. Mushrooms and onions cooked well, seasoned. All apps were more than enough to share. Entrees- did not disappoint. Steaks at this steak house were VERY GOOD. Dessert- could've skipped. The chocolate cake was no big deal. Just ok. Slightly sweet, light, fluffy...but just ok. Didn't taste homemade. Tasted like an ok store bought slice of mediocre cake. I'll skip dessert next time as it really wasn't worth the calories. Pros: Ambience is modern, clean, and open. Plenty of parking. Good service....the manager switched out a flavorful, but tough steak in the Dominico with the Prime Rib without making my guest feel bad. Good was very tasty. Seafood soup was meaty and seasoned very well. Filet mignon was tender and tasty. You could actually taste the grill char on the steak. Loved it! Portion sizes of everything was generous. Was NOT disappointed there. Cons: One of our steaks was super fatty and too tough. And everything is a la carte, which means pricy. We spent $223 for three people (3 apps, 3 entrees, 3 sides, 1 dessert). Great for date night, special occasions, business dinners, happy hour.

The only glaring issue was that most items that came out did not seem to be particularly hot. It was busy for the holiday so can't be too mad about. Bread and oil was standard. Meatball was great. i loved the risotta bites sauce - very peppery. Bisque was fine - the croutons were excellent, just needed it warmer. Chicken parm was large portion (this came out hot).
